Default Ugh!!!

Got a really depressing wake up call today. I had an extremely cheap scale that I was using and decided to get a digital one. Well, I found out that I am actually 9 pounds heavier than I thought!! Yes, you read right, 9 POUNDS!!!! I am so.... I don't know what I am!! I changed my ticker and man wasn't that hard!! Anyway, moral of the story, I should have kept the cheap scale, it was better at showing me what I wanted to see

UGH - I can feel your pain. I was so excited a year or so ago to see the scale dropping so steadily, reflecting in great time my workouts. ... until I put new batteries in the scale and gained five pounds in two minutes. My friends all cracked up at me being irritated and down about it but ... dang - you're going off one set of numbers with goals affixed and then whammo!

Keep weighing with this one - maybe it'll be kinder in the next few mornings

On the bright side, you haven't lost any less weight. Hope you remember to change your start weight as well!

Also, did you double check the new scale? Weight something you KNOW the weight of and see if it is correct.

Well, I weighed myself, then stepped back on holding 6 pound weights, and it seems to be right. I did change my starting weight!! I'm getting around to being fine about this, but that's just 9 more pounds I have to lose, but that's okay, this is a marathon not a sprint

I'm sorry, that's irritating! Another girl just posted last week about the same situation but her scale was 20 pounds off. I love your attitude about this being a marathon. With that attitude you're sure to succeed!
