Default Can I skip my workout tonight

since i've been moving offices? I've hauled files, books, binders, computers and a filing cabinet from one office to another. I'd consider that a workout, right?!!!!!

You always can - but do you really WANT to? Imagine how much good it would do you to work out on top of all that other activity today.

Just remember that if you let it slide this time then you might next time, you could make your workout less intensive or more cardio, maybe even just a nice quick walk.

Yep - but your post struck me as someone who really just wanted reinforcement. Believe me, I wish I could get someone who was up at 5 am to give me a good kick. Good Luck!

Lol. I feel your pain. I'm sitting in my office right now waiting for work to get out so I can go change a tire. I went out to the parking lot today at lunch and found out I had a flat but somone was parked right next to me. :P

Though if you've been doing a lot of lifting and can feel it in your arms I would definitely stick to lower body and or cardio. You don't want to over work your arm muscles and the last time I helped someone move my arms were killing me the next day

Okay, I don't know about the rest of you, but when I'm done with the gym, I don't feel good about myself. I feel sweaty, thirsty as all ****, and I just want to go home to soothe my aching body. I think the only time I've felt good about going to the gym is when I'm looking at the scale and the numbers have dropped.

You need to reassess your workout and your water intake. Finding something you enjoy that makes you feel good mentally and physically is SO important.

Yeah I don't feel like doing it myself often, but when I do it and push myself jto do my best I end up feeling so RAWR!!! afterward. Same with dancing. I HATE doing the yard stuff but WOW I feel so accomplished and just beam when I see how much I have burned on my GWF.

I encourage you to try new things and find something that you love, if nothing else to supplement the icky gym stuff if it isn't enough on it's own.

I layed off the calorie counting for a little while now and started back yesterday. I cleaned my whole house today and then I went to the Gym, It felt great, after the gym i went with Family and we played team Racquetball for 90 minutes. What a day! I hope you ended up working out! I know I feel good!

I personally am a big fan of smug. I get up and walk at 4:30 because Texas gets so hot so soon. I love standing in line behind little atheletic looking people who look at me then start tell me about how they get up every morning at 8 and jog a mile and how I should too. It's so much fun to announce "I could never do that!" and then smile and say "It's way to hot at 8. I do my 5K no later than 5am."

Hey whatever gets my fat hieney out of bed in the morning.

LOL - I'm with you on the smug. I get up insanely early for having an 8 am job (usually - couldn't sleep last night). Before I leave for work, I've dealt with 2 large dogs, worked out, showered, done a load of laundry, made breakfast, packed lunch, taken care of a 5 year old. The skinny 20-somethings I work with are totally in awe!

Ladies, Ladies....
I worked out last night for 30 minutes. On the treadmill. I have one at home.
I too, live in Texas where it's so freaking hot right now I can't imagine working out outside.
I exercise in the evening, because like many of you, I get up early to get my husband and kiddo out the door, feed the cats, make lunches, etc. before I head to my full time job. I noticed that when I work out, I keep sweating and am overheated for a while. I have a hard enough time keeping makeup on my face in this heat, let alone trying to apply it after a workout/shower.

Anyway, I was looking for validation for not having to workout-just having a moment. But I did it. Granted, I ran on that treadmill giving it a big fat raspberry the whole time, but I did it. Tonight, I shred.
