Unhappy dont have a clue what i am doing guys

Heya. Okay Im really watching what Im eating now. Exercising on my rowing machine 30 mins per day is my plan as well as a 20 min jog with dogs.

On my rowing machine i burnt of 80 calories.

Here is what I have eaten today is it too much for calorie counting?

Breakfast: Berry Smoothie (home made with raspberrys, blueberrys, 25ml apple juice and 2 ice) and a handful of grapes.

Lunch: Small Jacket potato with 60 grams of cottage cheese

Dinner: A weight watchers meal.

Drinking lots of water

I dont know what Im doing to be honest with regards to calorie counting. Is this too much for one day?

Depends. How tall are you? How much do you weigh? How many calories were in the weight watcher meal? It would seem to me that you might not be eating enough, but it's hard to say without additional information.

Yeah, I'm gonna go with you're not eating enough. When I plugged your info into Daily Plate, it suggested eating 1600-1800 calories per day. Your meals for today, per Daily Plate, ran you a bit shy of 1000 calories per day. I know it sounds strange, but if you don't eat enough, your body will hold onto everything it can because it worries tomorrow you'll have less food and will need those energy stores.

I'd suggest, if you're new to calorie counting, to sign up for thedailyplate.com or fitday.com - they're both free. You can plug in your personal data, set your goals, and track your food and exercise every day.

I'm a bit taller than you, and carry a bit more weight than you, and am losing on 1600-1700 calories a day. You'll have to figure out the number that works best for you, but it's going to be more than you planned for today.

It is odd to think of it as eating more, but I justify it like this:
A calorie is a unit of energy. I need that unit to exercise, therefore I eat a few more units of energy to get through the treadmill, dvd, walk, what have you.
I was eating 1300 calories a day to start, and nothing was happening! Now I eat 1455 and I'm losing. I also exercise 6 days a week and alternate between cardio and strength. I used to exercise 7 days a week. I think that rest day helped also.
You know what you're doing, or you wouldn't have questioned it-you just need to tweak the program a bit!!!!
So yes, EAT MORE!
