well I did well on the 30ds yesterday. I only took like 3 second breaks but kept going it was much easier and i wasnt as sore today. One monday I will probably start doing it every day!! Hopefully I can keep it up and start losing more. I guess one step at a time.
Nicki I am totally jealous...not just that you lost the weight but you are always soooo stinking motivated and it shows. I wish I could be as completely motivated as you!! I guess once I start losing more weight that will motivate me!! Ok well thats about it I think I am going to weighin every day and average the weight because my weight bounces around every day and I really think it has to do with my water intake and sodium. Ok well catch everyone lata!!! |
I have been doing great this week, I have totally stayed on my calorie goals and have hit the gym three times.I also just started using the daily plate which is really helping with counting calories! I have lost 2 pounds already this week!! :)

Not happy. I am STILL 165.6 after like a week! This is making me panic because I have events this fall I HAVE to be in shape for. I do costuming and I have been ordering corsets for them that should fit me at my goal weight. They sure as **** won't fit now, but one is a custom and will take months to get and the other is going to take a few months to decorate. ARGH!!! What the **** am I going to do if I am still fat then?!?!?! :?:
Been good and am exercising but I am still worried. Oh and my boobs are shrinking. That is also making me unhappy. :( |

I'm back on the saddle again, I posted about this time last year and started a new job that had me working 10-12 hour days and there went my plan! I've gotten in line with the rest of so many Americans that have been laid off and unfortunately/fortunately have a lot of time on my hands now while I look for work. I hopped on the scale and realized that I had gained about 10 lbs from last year and with this being the heaviest I have ever been, I have realized that I can't take it anymore. I started tracking my calories and workouts on Thursday and have already lost 1.5 lbs! I think more than anything I need motivation to help my stay on track so I am begging for everyone's support and encouragement. I look forward to getting to know all you guys and eventually attaining the dream of walking on the beach in a skimpy 2-piece!!! |

Beach - Ive been lazy too! Not sure why & I cant even use TOM as an excuse right now, because she's not due till the 8th or so. Do you also find on certain days you feel "lighter" and others you feel more full & heavy? Thats what Im noticing lately. Like a bad hair day, I have fat days. Prinny - Freaking out is NOT allowed love! You will do this, failure isnt an option, and thats that. Just think how hot you'll look in corsets!! Oh, &, , my boobs are shrinking too, but they look BETTER now, so Im alright with it. Plus, like I told my mom, you can always BUY boobs, but you cant buy health, being thin, and knowing you did it the right way! Nickie - I forgot to say congrats on getting out of the 190's! Peace out forever!! :carrot: Nomore - Welcome! Congrats on your loss already! Ive personally never said or tried to lose weight before this. I always had an excuse, and once I was disgusted enough with my body, I started. It was kind of like when addicts hit their "bottom", my bottom was seeing another picture of myself and feeling physically sick. You can do this, and this group is pretty awesome! Momof - Taking only 3 breaks on 3DS for the first time is awesome! I couldnt even complete it the first 2-3 times I did it, and its only 20 minutes long for goodness sake. There are no maybe's in this for you either, we're both moms of a few kiddos, and we're going to look like moms of NO kiddos when we're done with this!! :hug: So, Ive been a lazy fat lard. I havent been exercising, and since I skipped a bit, its harder to get back motivated and on track to do it daily. I have been staying OP as far as eating and such. I think the eating is more habit for me now, which is a good thing. Monday is the day Im kicking my own behind & plan to start back with my 5 days a week exercise. I NEED to lose the rest of this, hit my goal, and decide if I want to lose more or not. I just planned a trip to NY/NJ in July to visit alot of my family, some I havent seen in about 6 years. I want to be my goal weight (whatever that will be) at that time! :D |

RAIN RAIN and FOG is what we got this morning,another lazy day for me. DGRAMIE-Wish I could help you,did you try switching meals around. Like having dinner at noon and supper in the evening or have a breakfast at dinner time. Maybe your could bring the grain carbs down to a minimum for a few days. MOMO-That's great your trying the average weight thing. We have to try and see all kinds of methods to get the scale moving again. COLLEGE GIRL-Congrats on your 2 lb loss. No matter what calorie counting site you use if it works is a plus.You're exercising routine of 3x's a week looks good. VEGAS-Yes,I do have feeling fat days.But surprising today I met a friend for brunch and I couldn't finish the eggs & bread I ordered. Usually I can eat the kitchen sink but not today. Or maybe is just a lite day for me.Lets see what tomorrow brings. Have a great day |
I'm gonna do some personals tomorrow. Just wanted to check in. I always get busy with work so wanted to drop in. I'm down to 188 and getting comments left and right! So excited. I didn't cheat ONCE this weekend. Although exercise was another thought. LOL. Friday I didn't get in my weights cuz it was too busy and I had to get to work. I would have done 30DS after work but my BF offered to come over and I've been enjoying my time with him. Saturday I did do 30DS and tanned but still couldn't get weights in. Today I'm just being lazy. LOL. I suppose I could but I really really don't wanna. I think I'm gonna give myself the day. Tomorrow back with weights and 30DS

a long day...I had to get all four kids (6, 4, 2, 1) ready for church by myself and make them look nice!!! Then we actually got to church 15 mins early. I did a pantomime (solo drama) for church...some good excercise. Then we had baptism so I had to help with that. Came home ate then went to the movies. Took the kids to see monsters vs alien 3D. Its was good the boys loved it!! then came home clean up the house. Then off to church to teach drama class then run to the store get diapers back for church service. then home...had only a few hours of sleep so I am like exhausted!!!
Sorry cant do all the personals cause i cant think but Vegas I totally love you!! You make me laugh. I start tomorrow averaging my weight!! Catch you all tomorrow!! |
Still frustrated but being good. Usually when I get this frustrated I just quit and eat pie. I guess it's a good thing I am financially invested in losing now because I have ordered those skinny corsets.

I'm happy to hear you enjoyed MvA, my son wants to go see that one. Prinny, hmmm, that is an idea. Maybe I should go ahead and get my bathing suit for this year and that will make me financially vested also! Whatever keeps us on track will be worth it! |
Holy heck, I lost another pound. 1 more pound and I've reached my goal. I'm even starting to think about my next goal. My goal is 168. That's almost in the bag. I think a neat next goal would be 158, where I would be considered overweight and not obese! One thing at a time though I suppose. You know what my husband tells me all the time I'm not fat, and I think it's annoying because I am! Or he says if *I* think I'm fat I can lose weight but he doesn't think so. But than I guess if he said hunny you're a cow that wouldn'tgo over so well... Guess he just trying to be safe. Good man.

I'm so:) happy :)Got on the scale for my Monday W-I and I lost 1.3-lbs. this week. I think the small plates for portion size is helping. Going out to celebrate our 12th year of retirement on the Cape. Going to take it easy and find something that will fit into my calorie count today.I have 1400c today,and I spend 750c for breakfast,supper & snack so I'm calculating I have 650c left for dinner. NICKIE-Congrats on getting down to 188,see all that hard work really paid off. I should start using my weight when I don't get around to to my cardio exercises. MOMO-I had to chuckle when you posted about your 4 children and getting them ready for church. MY DD has 4 also but the twins are 8 ,7 and 5. and the stories she tells. I heard that the Monsters vs Aliens was a big hit at the box office this weekend.Never mind the kids enjoying I just might take myself to that movie. I love movies like that, I saw the Beverly Hills Chihuahua and that was a kids movie. PRINNY-Don't get frustrated, we all in the same boat rocking back and forth. You did great not eating that pie.A corset.I thought they don't make those anymore,but the old saying comes to mind" what ever works don't fix it " AUER-J-Welcome to the CC chat of course there's room for more. vegas Thanks for the congrats! Don't be too hard on yourself. Everybody gets off track whether it's from eating right or from exercising. You can't be perfect 24/7. Sometimes you just need to give yourself a break. I do agree that it is harder to get back on the wagon when you get off. But you can do it! You want to see the weight loss so you'll get your butt into gear!

Nickie-I had a Tender pork shredded with chipotle stout BBQ sauce piled high in a bread boule, topped with caramelized onions, smoked Gouda cheese,and a side of veggies.I added the calories from my calorie counting book and It totaled up to 750C The presentation of the sandwich surprised me as it was almost like a bread bowl with the filling stuffed inside the bowl. So I think I Ok with the choice. Leo had fish & chips nothing else and it came to the same amount of calories. |
Nickie - Hooray for nothing fitting! Doesnt it feel awesome?!! Ive actually gotten to the point that Ive sold some of my bigger clothes on Ebay. I have been cheap though, and not bought myself anything aside from 2 items at that $1 sale. After seeing even my belt is too big to keep my pants up, Im going out tomorrow or Thursday night and getting some well needed smaller clothes.
Beach - Congrats on a great W-I today! Sounds like you had a YUMMY dinner too! Prinny - Corsets are sexier than pie! Momof - Woo girly, you did have a busy day. I hate doing stuff like getting the kids ready all alone. Its strictly due to me being spoiled by having my husband do alot usually though. My girls asked to see that movie, but then quickly asked if we could wait for the Hannah Montana movie instead :p Duct - Hi, Im not sure if we've ever met, but I dig your screen name! My husband was the same way "I love you no matter what" or "You're hot to me" I finally said, listen, Im doing this for ME, not you, so please just be supportive, and he stopped. We went to my parent's house for a visit yesterday, and my sweet Mommy even had a SmartOnes dessert for me while everyone else had cookies! Had a great time yesterday at BBC and having that POGWICH wasn't as bad as I though.It was roll that they took out the stuffing and left the shell and filled it with shaved pork with STOUT BBQ sauce and caramelized onions.I had veggies on the side. I calculated the meal to be 15 pts[750] just like I predicted it to be.It was delicious,but I have no idea where I could buy the rolls and make the Pogwiches at home. Now back to the small plates for the rest of the week. NICKIE-You're losing nicely,big congrats for that.Wish I could get my exercising done like you do,you so ambitious we two jobs and having time to exercise I should feel ashamed as I retired and just be lazy. VEGAS-Thanks for the congrats you doing great also in the exercsing dept. I just have to get my rear in gear to get back to my bike or treadmill again. No excuse today I will go on my bike today and when the B/L theme song comes on {"what have you done for yourself to make you feel proud"} I can say I exercised today. Have a great morning |

beach Wow that sounds amazingly yummy! Great choice! And don't feel lazy. We should never measure ourselves by someone else. Everyone has different schedules and time frames. I'm happy with my success and the way I'm going! You're doing great as well!
vegas Yeah it does feel good but it's a double edged sword. I groan and am like "dangit, more clothes again!". I've been wearing the two big clothes for as long as I can. LOL. Sounds like you had an amazing weekend. Proud of you! dgramie Hate hungry days!!!!! You'll get through it So I had a good day yesterday. Weights between shifts. Tanned after work. Hello everyone. I've had a wretched 3 weeks but a glorious 3 weeks at the same time. My FIL finally died after lingering six and a half weeks and we're so tired travelling back and forth to the hospital and then all the business with the funeral and paperwork that follows. But the glorious part was that I'm finally a grandmother and we have a precious, darling little grandson. He's such a sweetie and I can hardly wait for them to come here at Easter so I can hold him again.
I got in no exercise and was eating everything in sight. The last week was the worst because there was so much food around with people dropping off cookies, cakes, pies, salads and even whole meals. Fortunately, most of the food was dropped off at my MIL's house but we were there for several meals. I'm not weighing until at least Saturday and may wait another week until I'm totally back in control and have lost some of this weight I'm sure I've put on. I don't think I can bear to see the weight on the scales go up. Right now I'm on an emotional roller coaster and just need to get back on track before I weigh in. DH lost 5 pounds and I'm sure I gained at least that much. Today I got on my bike for the first time in about 3 weeks and ate clean. I peddled for about 43 minutes and I'm hoping to finish up to an hour later on tonight. I just love eating. I haven't lost any taste for cakes and pies and lovely fried potatoes but I have to keep everything in check. I WILL NOT GET FAT AGAIN!!! I'm almost to a healthy weight range and I WILL DO THIS! I'm not shouting at you gals, just at myself. :lol: Shannon, your wedding pictures look lovely. So glad everything went well and you had the perfect wedding. I'm back at making and planning for my DS's wedding in July. Dgramie, hang in there girl. One day you'll get on the scales and there'll be a big drop. Tomorrow is a new month and a new start. See you in April. |
Thanks Prinny and Vegas. This is all so new to me, I'm just trying to figure things out. I'm trying to stay around 1600 cals/day and have been pretty good (one bad day at 1988 and one good day at 1049). My biggest hurdle is shopping and knowing what the caloric average is for foods.

retiredone= Death makes you fat. I was 140 before my dad got cancer then died. Seriously. It sucks. Don't let it beat you like it did me.
I have been really good eating well and exercising. Today I am having a hungry day though. I think it was because I forgot to eat enough yesterday before I went to bed. Anyway I had a nice low fat cheese sammich with tomatoes and a couple pickles which put me over about 300 but once my tummy settles I am getting on the bike for a bit. |
