Actually, In-N-Out doesn't have to be that bad. If you have them sub mustard and ketchup for their spread, a regular hamburger from In and Out is 310 calories. You can also have them serve it "protein style" which replaces the bun with lettuce and drops the calories to 240. It's still high in fat--what do you want, it is fast food after all--but as an occasional treat, it's not that bad. If you want to really splurge and get a cheeseburger, that adds 90 calories, still not so bad.
My favorite fast food is Panera. I usually find that half a sandwich is plenty and there are lots of choices that I can make work. I'm also a fan of Subway.
For a quick treat, I love the fruit and yogurt parfaits from McDonalds.
I haven't had occasion to try them yet, but I'm also excited about oatmeal from Starbucks and steel-cut oatmeal at Jamba Juice (topped with bananas, even,

). I can't believe no one thought of doing this sooner.
