Hey- I actually did read the FAQ, I'm just still pretty unsure of the whole thing! Thanks for all your help, guys. It has really opened my eyes, and hopefully it's opened the doors for me to start eating more consciously and eat more good calories rather than filling up my day with bad calories.

I am not lactose intolerant, basically any dairy protein makes me sick, even whey. I have no idea why, but Lactaid makes me more sick than regular milk! Doesn't that stink?!! It's okay though, I love my soy milk.

Oh that sucks! Dairy is a huge source of my calories and protein - the idea of giving up cheese makes me want to weep.

But .. there are alternatives. And it seems that you have a pretty good handle on what you can and can't eat - now it's just a matter of tweaking things so they'll start working for you!

as long as we're talking about me... hahahaha

my next question would be, what would a realistic weight loss goal be, if i wanted to reach that goal by my birthday which is at the end of january?

i was thinking 15 pounds, but i'm wondering if that is to high or if i could realistically set it higher. i'd like to have something to work towards.

thanks!

Looks like you have gotten great advice!

As far as a goal id say one pound a week is realistic so just count that up! Prob about 12lbs. So 15 could be a great goal!

Good luck!
