not alot going on here...staying busy with kids and trying to catch up on some stuff around the house and yard. I had to gather all my small yard animals and bring in for winter..along with a few other yard things that dont weather the winter well. Its kinda sad to know today is the last really warm day in the forcast. Guess i will try and get the kids outside for part of it . Winter is coming fast!!! Im not ready!!
Got to increase my water today..been slacking a bit..still not back to my gallon per day.
pushup challenge im in is going good. Im in week 2 and really suprised by the number i am doing..4 weeks to go. I would love to do the couch to 5k but dont know if im ready for that one yet...may try and start it after christmas..that would have me finishing it about the time my daughter gets married.
well hugs my friends.

retiredone 11-06-2008 09:12 AM

I found boxing gloves in the basement that the boys used to have when they were younger. Now they are MINE. Ha, ha. We'll see how that goes. I'm doing 5 push-ups a day and I can see a difference in the strength in my arms. I'm beginning to go lower each day. dgramie, I haven't started the 100 pushups yet but when I get time to study it a bit I'll probably start that.

Have a good day everyone. Stay on plan and exercise if you can.

Shannonk1222 11-06-2008 09:51 AM

Retiredone- you just gave me a great idea. I hate my arms but can't do pushups. I get discouraged because I can usually only do a couple. Now I am going to start doing 5 a day and work my way up. That should take no time at all.
Thanks!

GrammyL 11-06-2008 09:58 AM

Retiredone ~ the boxing sounds like fun. I don't have the space for the bag.

Tinky ~ Hope your feeling better.

Dgramie ~ Winter is definitely sneaking up on us. Yes, they said today is the last day for nice weather. Amazing that we can go from the 30's to 70's in one day. No wonder people are getting sick.

Rain ~ I have been craving protein horribly also. I would rather eat a pound of meat than my carbs. I added an ounce of protein to each of my mini meals. Seems to be helping and I just make sure I portion things out so I don't eat to much. If its sitting their I WILL EAT IT!

I am in an odd mood and want fish for some reason. So this morning I baked up a package of Pollock and I had it for breakfast and my morning snack. I know gross but I really like it in the morning. I cook mine different than most because I make sure I drain all excess fluid off during the cooking process. I drained it twice while it was baking today. I like my fish dry. I have a spice mix I make that I put on it and then also make a couple with dill/pepper and garlic. YUMMY!

DD and I bought gerbils last night. I can't believe its $20 for one gerbil. I bought a really nice cage for them and DD's can't figure out how to use the tubs and mine is all over the place. They are so cute. Mine is gray with red eyes, DD's is black/white (tail has white tip) with black eyes.

Well I better get going and I will talk to you all later.

Tinky009 11-06-2008 10:44 AM

Hi Everyone feeling better today, but not 100%. Coughing up yucky junk.
I feel bad some of our elderly residents are getting sick, but it can't be helped, it's the season.

GrammyL-Thanks for the healing thoughts, they must be working, I feel a bit better. It goes in such weird cycles. I feel great one minute, then crappy the next. Awww....I always thought gerbils were bigger version of mice, but that's what we would call rat, they're cuter than rats. Did you find names for them?

Retire- Glad you're doing better with your poor thumb. Boxing is such an aweseome workout, you will tone your whole body that way. I haven't taken a day off from this. There's too much going on at work, so unfortunately can't. I am just glad the weekend is coming soon. I can rest then.

Slim- Woohooo, for DH's comment re:collar bones!! That's always a nice compliment!! Keep up the great work!

Dgramie- Thanks for the hugs, I could sure use them!!!

Shannon- Starting small and working your way up when you get comfortable is a very good starting point, heck you gave me the oompfh to do that when I get better too!

Ok, off to get my stuff done at work, gott help with breakfast, but will probably spend most of the time in my office so I don't interact with people too much. Have a great day everyone!

Stephanie Osborne 11-06-2008 12:01 PM

Hello ladies... I am not new to 3fc but I am brand new to this forum. I am 27, a photographer living in a tiny town in Wyoming but originally from the city. My goal is to lose about 24 lbs and be healthy so that I can become a mommy. I have tried other diets in the past but the thing that always worked for me is counting calories and working toward a deficit.

Nice to meet everyone!

dgramie 11-06-2008 01:17 PM

retire_ its amazing how fast they work..I can really tell my upper body is stronger when i lift the corners of my waterbed to tuck in the sheets.NSV

shannon- I am doing the program at hundredpushups.com
you test to see how many you can do and work up from there..its a 6 week program

grammy - we have a really strong wind here today..tried to take the little ones out to play but its just to windy.

tinky- my youngest daughter is sick today with a sinus infection and starts of a chest infection..to bad she had to go to college and take a test. She really should be in bed!! Gld to hear you are feeling better!!

Rain Dancer 11-06-2008 04:29 PM

GrammyL, a lot of people eat fish in the morning. I have had fresh caught trout for brekkie many times and it is a lovely way to start the day. :D This whole cereal and pastry for breakfast thing we have in our heads is a fairly recent thing, in this country.

Tinky, glad to hear that you beginning to feel better. There is some ugly crud going around. Just take care until you are back to 100%.

Hi Stephanie, :welcome3: to Calorie Counters. This is a great plan, as it isn't really a "diet"; more a lifelong sustainable way to nourish yourself. It will work for weight loss, maintenance and for losing post baby weight, too. :D

So, on track and doing well, today. My extra protein yesterday really did me a lot of good. I am a protein craver. I don't just want it... I need it in a really deep, stalkerish kind of way. Maybe I was a lion in another lifetime, or something.

I am also getting in plenty of water. Dgramie, how do you manage a gallon of water in a day? I would never leave my bathroom. :o And, does such an extreme amount of water really have a solid benefit? For myself, my loss is consistent and I feel great, whether I am slamming three quarts or just a few big tumblers, a day. :smug:

Blinky963 11-07-2008 01:41 AM

Hi, I had a rough October, I moved to a new city and was unemployed/ job hunting for the whole month. But November is here, my birthday is tomorrow, I'm starting my new job on Monday, I've given up soda this week, and I've quit smoking! Oh, and my new job is close so I get to walk to work! That's 30- 40 minutes of extra exercise every day! I have very high hopes for November.

slim n up 11-07-2008 07:04 AM

Hi Everyone,

GrammyL, I eat what I want to eat in the morning, as long as it keeps me on track. So if fish is what you want there is nothing wrong with it.

Blinky, I hope you have a Great November good luck with the new job, and :bday2you:.

Today is my official weigh in. I was down 1 pound was hoping for more, but with TOM possibly near, or is it the change that is effecting me I'm not sure, as I am having hot flashes this morning, I'll take the 1 pound loss. Maybe next week it will be more, but that is 1 pound less that I have to lose.

Have a great day everyone,

Wilma

dgramie 11-07-2008 08:22 AM

rain- for me drinking lots of water is the key to weight loss. I also have kidney stones and YES drinking lots of water is important for me. MY dr told me to drink at least a gallon a day everyday for the rest of my life..he would prefer I drank closer to 2 gallons a day. I dont spend my day in the bathroom. Its just kinda like my body adjusted to drinking lots of water. I sure know it when i dont drink enough. FOr me the more i drink the better i truly feel. I dont guzzle a gallon at one time.I keep a jug handy and keep taking drinks thoughout the day and evening.

retiredone 11-07-2008 09:07 AM

Welcome to calorie counters Stephanie. Hope to see you here often.

WTG Blinky on the new job and all the possibilities November is bringing you. And Happy Birthday!!! Hope you have a great day.

One pound is a good loss, Slim. Nothing wrong with that. And hot flashes are nasty. Hope they don't last too long.

My weigh in is tomorrow and I'm hoping for at least another pound. That will bring me down to my wedding weight of 30 years ago. Ha, ha, maybe I'll dig out my wedding dress and try it on. DH will think I've gone mad.

I'm going to try the boxing gloves today and do a little sparring with a cushion to get the feel of things. DH doesn't know it yet, but he's going to help me with this.

bargoo 11-07-2008 09:53 AM

Blinky, welcome and good luck! Congratulations on the new job. Walking to work will be great exercise, but winter in Minnesota....brrrr. I was born and raised in Minnesota , cold but invigorating winters!

retiredone 11-07-2008 11:57 AM

When I was working and walked to work I got a pair of snow pants that I wore during the winter. They really cut the cold. I had trouble finding a pair that fit so I got a pair of men's. They were too long but the snow boots kept them from dragging. Of course I'm much shorter than Blinky. I also had a coat with a hood. Hoods are great when the wind is blowing. My niece walks everywhere and she wears a long hooded down filled coat and long boots and together they keep her legs warm.

Stephanie Osborne 11-07-2008 12:23 PM

rain dancer - Thanks for the warm welcome! Great job being on track thats too funny about you being a lion in a former lifetime. I don't crave protien... I wish lol

Blinky - New birthday, new city, new job and new year lets get going girly! I have high hopes for your November too...

Wilma - 1 lb right before ttom is quite a victory girlie! Congrats!

retiredone - I hope to be here often it keeps me accountable and motivated! Thanks for the welcome... Try on the dress then dance around the house lol he will think you've gone off the deep end.

As for me:

Managed to be right on track with my deficit yesterday. In fact was an absolute angel! Turns out I may be back on track for the week after having a disasterous weekend (my week runs through Monday...) Need to really be on track this weekend if I am going to have a successful weigh in on Tuesday.

Nothing crazy planned for this weekend mosty computer work. I have a wedding album and two other weddings to work on this weekend. A good friend of mine may be coming to visit and we may go on a photo safari which I would love...

GrammyL 11-07-2008 01:37 PM

Tinky ~ no I haven't come up with a name for mine yet but he is definitely a nice little guy and smart. DD's still can't figure out the tubs so mine now goes down from the penthouse to sleep with the dense one. LOL! I am worried because the water bottle is attached to the top of the cage and hers can't figure out how to get up there. ARG! We put him up their and then have to take him back down. Our faculty member said his does the same thing, it just comes and goes. He got on an antibiotic and its called a Z-pack. He said its helping.

Welcome Stephanie and Blinky. LOL! I thought everyone was spelling Tinky wrong and then I read up to Blinky's post. Look forward to getting to know the both of you.

dgramie we had strong winds last night. Blew the chicken coop door shut and the chickens were still outside. They were not happen when we got home after dark and they were stuck outside. They went right in. It is windy again today but I like the wind.

Rain I know we are an odd country. Someone told me fish is eaten for breakfast on a regular basis in a few countries. I would have never guessed. My rule of thumb is if I can stomach it in the morning eat it. Traditional American foods for breakfast often make me feel icky for the rest of the day. Bacon, eggs, pancakes, dairy products, cereal, pastries and certain sausages upset my tummy if eaten in the morning. Eggs whites I am getting better about but I usually add a little homemade sausage to them to make them editable. I do eat oatmeal every morning and often for lunch, occasionally for dinner. I am a huge fan of oatmeal and it works well with my metabolism.

Wilma I hear you on the change except I get cold flashes. I don't know when TOM is really going to come because I haven't really quit in 2 months. The upside is hopefully I never really start since I never finished. Its just spotting but it is enough to be irritating. I want to have a pap because its time but I don't think you can have it if your doing something. Maybe I should just call the doctor and ask. Sure do hate doing those things.

dgramie and Rain I drink 100 oz a day and thats beyond my coffee. My morning coffee is right around 32 oz. I also had kidney stones and was told to make sure I keep my kidney's flushed and stay away from high protein diets. 6 days I suffered before they decided to take them out, morphine was the only thing that helped with the pain and I was in so much misery they gave it to me. Ultrasound and MRI didn't help because they were so large they appeared as if they should be their. Love misdiagnoses and my calcium levels were out the roof. Took 3 months to bring them back down. Was glad when it was over and I never want to go back. So I make sure I drink lots and lots of water. Never had another urinary track infection either. BONUS!

Well I better get going for now and I will talk to you all later.

Blinky963 11-07-2008 01:45 PM

Thanks for the warm welcome! I used to walk to work in Chicago (years ago) and my memories are just the fuzzy happy past memories, although I know for a fact that there were some cold and miserable months every winter. Minnesota is a whole different winter, I'll definitely need a new winter jacket and Thanks Retiredone I was thinking about some snow pants- :) So far I've only found a pink pair and some that were cream colored, and I am not wrapping my plus size bottom in bright pink.
Thanks again to everyone for the welcome and birthday wishes.

bargoo 11-07-2008 03:58 PM

And don't forget mittens and earmuffs.

retiredone 11-08-2008 06:30 PM

Good advice there, Bargoo.

I had a good weigh in this morning-down another 1.5 pounds. But I ate too much macaroni and cheese later on today. Not over calories but mac and cheese is so concentrated in calories that even a normal serving is high in calories. And I had dessert-another highly concentrated calorie food.

It was gray and rainy here all day. It started last night before I went to bed and this morning it was so dull and damp. We put in the wood furnace and soon it was too hot in the house . Now it's cooled down again and I'm feeling chilly (can't please me ). Time for a sweater.

Have a good night.

Annie Pele 11-08-2008 06:45 PM

Hi everyone! Can I join this forum? I am newly registered on 3FC, but I've been lurking for quite a while. Hubbby and I are obsessive calorie counters. Sometimes I dream of weighing food and writing down number to get to the magic 1600 calorie number for the day. Nice to meet everybody...

retiredone 11-08-2008 07:07 PM

Hi again Annie. I just saw your post in the intros. Of course you can join in. We're all a bit obsessed in the calorie counters. I use fitday.com to count my calories and I spend a good deal of time working on this weight loss. Come and post as often as you want.

Annie Pele 11-08-2008 07:39 PM

Thanks, retiredone. And thanks for the welcome on the introductions forum, too.

Bev 11-08-2008 08:42 PM

Mind if I join you guys. My doctor wants me to count calories and eat around 1600 calories. I think that is too high for me so I will eat around 1400.

I have a heard time sticking to any type of eatting plan so I could use all the support I can get.

Bev

I hope that I didn't offend you with my question... That was not my intention. I truly wanted to know how anyone managed to drink a gallon of water every single day and still be able to live a normal life. If I drink more than two quarts or so, I am constantly beating a path to the loo. For some reason, I can't adjust to higher quantities. :smug: (Or maybe I just don't try hard enough... :)) Liquids in the two quart range, including my coffee, herb tea and water, seems to do the trick for me. I stay hydrated and still lose.

So, hello, everyone. It is a cold and blustery day, today. We had dark, low clouds when I awoke today. I ran out and took my clothes off the line (left towels and undies... they can get rained on) because it looked as if it was going to rain. But, the clouds have cleared and it is sunny, now. So, rather than worrying about a few garments, I could have crawled back into my warm bed and gone back to sleep.

My normal weigh in day is Monday, but I had the urge to get on the scale, this morning. Three more pounds gone. :smug: I am pretty happy with that. Especially since my week wasn't the most consistent. I am having to fight with myself a great deal, these last few weeks. It is as if my bod is saying, "Okay... I have lost this much weight. Now, I am going to collude with your brain to make you start eating, again." Or maybe I am crazy and just need to get my sh*t together. Either way I am a little :dizzy:. But hanging in there. I just have to make it over this hurdle. And, I will. :D

dgramie 11-10-2008 06:54 AM

Rain_ you didnt offend me! I just thought i needed to let you know why i drink so much. I know when i dont drink enough i end up at the drs office and sometimes at the ER.
I drank a few soft drinks over the weekend and my kidneys are hurting today. I never drink soft drinks but we were out running around alot this weekend and hubby ordered me diet drinks. SO today i will have to be really careful to get my water back in.
Im going to drink slimfast today for breakfast to see if that will stay with me better than my yogurt. I am getting burned out on my eggbeaters..so will try something different. I also bought oatmeal to try.
gotta go and jump on the minitramp and do my pushups. Today starts week 3 of the pushups.

Shannonk1222 11-10-2008 10:36 AM

Hello eveyone! I hope everyones weekend was great! Mine was. I went off track a tiny bit but no worries. Is it Friday yet?

bargoo 11-10-2008 10:44 AM

Annie, there's no reason that you can't count calories to 1600. Plan ahead. I plan all meals for the day and count the calories before I eat them. Planning is the key, keeping im mind your calorie allotment.

Tinky009 11-10-2008 05:12 PM

Hi Everyone!

Happy Monday!!

GrammyL- LOL about the Blinky comment! Hmm, you'll have to keep us posted one what you plan on naming the gerbils. I had a nice Siberian Hamster, poor thing only had like 3 legs, but I loved it no matter what. He sure ran fast too!
We also eat fish for breakfast too on occasions. Fish and rice. The boys are going to put up my treadmill today! Yay! I am so stoked!!! I can finally get this jiggly booty, tight again.

Retire- I just discovered the warmth of a down jacket this Fall season...I love it, but sometimes I don't like the feather end poking out and prickling me. LOL

Annie,Bev, Stephanie & Blinky-:welcome3: to the gang!!!!!! I really look forward to getting to know you all. Please dont mind our convos, we do our calorie thing, but we also are a chatty group.

Annie- I get really obsessed with weighing and measuring things too. My scale is my favorite kitchen gadget!

Shannon- LOL about is it Friday already? I felt the same way when I left the house too.

DGramie- I am going to start my push-ups today too!!! I need to make these arms look sexy again! LOL!

mermaid20 11-10-2008 05:44 PM

I would like to join this thread if I may.

I never thought i would like the idea of counting calories, but now I am obsessed. Actually, too obsessed. Since I don't know the exact stats of everything i eat, and also, still need to buy a food scale... I'm always worried I'm still underestimating my calorie intake. I try to workout a little to somewhat try to balance any underestimation, but exercise and I don't get along LOL.

Well, I've been counting calories since 9/1/08... a little over two months now... and i lost about 16 pounds, but it has SLOWED beyond belief the past couple of weeks and I'm barely losing now. I still need to shed about 15 more pounds altogether.

I am really worried about this month. Thanksgiving is my weakness. It has always been my favorite holiday since I was a little girl and thanksgiving food is one of my biggest weaknesses. I will not give up my candied yams and all of that delicious apple pie and pumpkin pie and pumpkin chocolate chip cookies and sugared cranberry sauce, etc.!! I am nervous and I thought maybe joining this thread will help me calorie count through the holidays?

retiredone 11-10-2008 08:52 PM

Hi Mermaid and welcome to the thread. Hey, about Thanksgiving just let the turkey get stuffed and you eat little portions and fill up on the plainer vegetables. You can spread the goodies out over the whole weekend so you don't eat too much on that one day.

I've got a full sink of dirty dishes and a dishwasher full of clean dishes and no energy nor inclination to do anything about either. I suppose I'll have to force myself to at least tidy up a bit. I hate getting up in the morning to dirty dishes and messy kitchen. Maybe I'll watch some tv and jump up during the commercials and clean a bit. The ads are so long I'd probably get it all done during one half hour show. OK, that's the plan. Catch you all later.

Shannonk1222 11-11-2008 09:33 AM

Hi Mermaid! Welcome to the group! You will have a blast here. I have only been here a week or so but the support is great!

I feel really good about yesterday because I stayed within my calorie intake and did the treadmill. This morning started will because again i did the treadmill but I am sooooo tired this morning. We are ordering lunch at the office because we have three employees with birthdays this month. I think a hoagie tray or something. Because I knew this in advance, tonight at school I brought a smartones that is only 210 calories. This way I can have a turkey hoagie. Well half of a turkey hoagie with the top part of the roll removed..I know I am weird. It is definately about planning!

Have a wonderful productive and on Calorie day!
Shannon

Rain Dancer 11-11-2008 10:20 AM

Hi new ones! Welcome to Calorie Counters!

Dgramie, I am glad that I didn't hurt your feelings. Take care and stay out of the ER. :D

*Sigh* So... Yesterday. Yeah. What a bust. What is it with me and Mondays? I have some weird disconnect here. I need to suss it out and fix it. On the bright side, I did dump another three pounds, last week. So that is good. I just need to work a little harder at staying on track.

Ahhh... Thanksgiving. I think that we are not going to do the usual, this year. I am not in the holiday mood. And I don't want to have all that rich food hanging around where I can get into it all the long weekend. I think that we are just going to do a family taco night. One lovely nosh, then it is over and I don't have to weld the fridge shut. :D

It is cold, this morning. I am sitting here, wrapped in a thick shawl I crocheted and I am still freezing my arse off. I could turn on the heater next to me, I suppose... But that would cost money. And I am trying to morph into a tightwad.

I have to run. Things to do. Have a great day, everyone. :D

Tinky009 11-11-2008 10:52 AM

Good Morning Ladies!!!

Well we got the treadmill up and running. I got rid of my elliptical. Can't wait to go home and run or walk. LOL Need to get used to running again. It feels pretty good to be on track again.

Mermaid- Welcome!!! You know what I did for a past Thanksgiving was ate everything, I know it sounds bad, but I used a small plate and had a bite of everything. I am talking small bites. I was satisified. I had a nice healthy serving of the turkey breast though. You can make it. It's really about self control.

Retire- I'll do your dishes, I don't know why, but I find washing dishes to be my therapy too! LOL! I know crazy! Hope your day is nice!

Shannon- Eventhough we do weird things on our plans, it helps! Keep up the great work!

Rain- Welcome to my world, I am also trying to conserve energy and money at home. LOL Fleece blankets are my friend. LOL! Speaking of a traditional Thanksgiving, DH wants me to bring over my turkey chili and green chili, cheddar corn muffins to his parents. That works for me, I don't have to worry bout roasting the bird this year. Stay warm!!!

Have a great day everyone, I sure wish I had the Veterans Day off, like DH, he's currently in bed snuggly with the blankets! Not fair....oh well!!! Take care everyone!

dgramie 11-11-2008 11:00 AM

Rain- great job on the 3lbs loss.
retire- have you ever checked out flylady.net?/ I try to do her routine and it really keeps me on track. I never go to bed with dishes in the sink..well unless someone snacks after i go to bed.LOL
today i am cleaning on my kitchen..put away the flowers and getting out the snowmen. I cant believe its this time of year.I will use my snowmen dishes from today till time to get out the Easter stuff. WOw where does time go??Seems like i just put them back in the cabinet!!
I need to work on laundry some also..have a basket or two full of clean clothing to put away..house work never ends!!
welcome to all newbies!
OH NSV for me...climbing up and down out of a chair cleaning the cabinet tops is so much easier than in the spring when i did it!! Less to lift i guess!!

dgramie 11-11-2008 11:01 AM

Tinky_ we were posting at the same time. hope you have a great day at work...you can come do my dishes anytime!!! laundry also...do you dust and do windows??? lol

carcar05 11-11-2008 11:54 AM

I want to join this chat, too! :)
I'm still having a hard time figuring out all my caloric intake since I make a lot of my food, like from recipes. But I do have the better homes and gardens cook book and for each recipe it has a breakdown of how many calories are in each recipe. A few of my other cookbooks do, too, so that's helped.
I am trying to eat between 1400-1600 calories each day. I just found fitday.com so I'm hoping that will help me keep better track! Good luck ladies, not that you need it! :)

retiredone 11-11-2008 06:56 PM

Welcome Carcar. You sure can join in the chat. I use fitday for my calorie counting and have most of my recipes entered so it makes it easier the longer I use it.

I did get the dishes done last night. Didn't take as long as it might have sounded in my last post. Once I cleared out the dishwasher it took less than 10 minutes to get all the dirty dishes put in. I'm familiar with the flylady but I'd rather have Tinky come do the dishes. :D My goodness, it's about 8:15 pm and I have everything cleaned up in the kitchen but I only got the bed made about an hour ago. But to my credit I did change one of the beds in the basement earlier this morning so I can't have everything done on time every day. We have 5 bedrooms if you count the 2 in the basement. I usually only do one bed a day (mine) but the basement is for company (family mostly) and I hadn't changed and made up the one downstairs since we had company a couple of weeks ago.

I'm doing pretty good this week. I did have a feeding frenzy on Saturday night which left me feeling awful by Sunday morning. I can't eat greasy food late at night. I could when I was younger. Had a stomach like a cast iron pot. But since Saturday night I've been on plan. I'm not always an emotional over eater. Sometimes I overeat because I just plain love the taste of the food that I'm devouring. Sheesh, now I'm hungry again just thinking about tasty food.

Gotta go and finish my run. It got cut off half way through. I was too tired to finish but I've had supper and I feel a bit more energized. I should have done it this morning but circumstances prevented that this morning.

Catch you all later.

PS: Where's my head today? Forgot to tell you all how great you're doing. Lots of fat coming off. Yeah!!! We're getting smaller!

Tinky009 11-11-2008 10:23 PM

Hey everyone! I am pooped out, I ran a mile on the treadmill, cooked dinner, cleaned up, washed dishes, and I am just chilling, waiting for the food to digest then I will probably walk on the treadmill. I had a horrible charlie horse from the night before so need to take it easy. It's nice to do my thang while it's raining out. :woops:

Dgramie- Whoohooo, on the NSV!!!! That's always a plus. Yes I do all the above. I wish I had more time to clean at home though. The house would be the way I like it.

Carcar- Thanks! A little more luck wouldn't hurt! Welcome to the gang!! I do a lot of home cooking too. I usually list each item on Calorie-count. It's a bit tedious, but at least I know how much my meal is.

Retire- Wow, I better be careful otherwise the word will get out, and I'll be doing everyone's dishes! LOL! You know speaking of fat coming off, I was trimming some chicken and saw all the fat. I kinda thought about myself. LOL! I know a bit gross, but couldn't help it.

Well I hope you all have a good night! See you all in the morning!

Hi everyone!

My new job has been keeping me so busy, I've hardly had time to check my e-mail let alone post. I need to come back and read more, but I just wanted to let you know I'm still here.

Tinky is doing the dishes? Woo hoo! What time will you be here?

Zenor's alive! Hi there! :D I hope that your new job is going well.

Retire, I think that all fried food is laced with food-crack. Seriously. Last time I noshed on Long John's, the next day I was craving it like I haven't craved something since I quit smoking in '94. There is something seriously evil going on there... Besides the fat and calories, that is. :D

Welcome, Carcar! :D

Doing well, today. I still have a few hundred calories I need to get in. I am waaay too low. Just over 900. I think a yoghurt and some popcorn should take care of it. :D
