jamsk8r, Happy Birthday!!

FB, I don't see anything "chunky" in that photo, all I see is a beautiful woman and her adorable son in quite the cutest mother/son photo I've ever seen. Be confident about having it up here because you have every reason in the world to be!

I also posted to say a big ~good job!~ to all of you on your losses and also to report that...

- Instead of getting my wolf pendant, I opted to get.. a hamster. It was an odd trade off but she's the most adorable, sweet little thing you could ever know.
-I freaked out, because my scale is claiming another two lbs down! o_o At first I couldn't really believe it, so I stepped on it three more times and it said the same thing, so I put my clothes on, ran up stairs, stripped 'em back off and weighed myself on my other scale and oh my.. that one said it too! I'm so excited because that means only a lb away from being in the 150's and being in the 'healthy weight' range!

Wow, Layri, you don't mess around...another 2 pounds?! Thanks for the birthday "party"!

Went to red lobster for lunch...the lobster was good, but everything else had way too much butter and salt for me. I'm gonna blow up 3 pounds by tomorrow, I bet! I had key lime pie for dessert, and I'm not sorry, either! I'll be sorry tomorrow, and the next day, and the next, but today, I'm feeling pretty good about it, lol.

No loss this morning, but I held onto the 195. Not sure why my weight has been going down this week, but I probably solved that little problem with lunch today!

Hey ladies, I'm just checking in.. Didn't bloat up like I thought I would from the off-plan food yesterday, though I couldn't get to sleep last night to save my life. Finally collapsed from exhaustion at 4:45ish this morning. I haven't had insomnia for a long time, so maybe it was related to eating something I'm not used to (any more)?? The scale was up 0.4 this morning, but that's a pretty normal fluctuation for me, so I guess the water drinking helped.

Skated 3 hours tonight, out of 4. I felt bad because a couple of friends wanted me to stay and skate, and they were just getting there when I was leaving. The spirit was willing, but the feet were too sore, after being out of skates for a month. Ah, well, I'll get it back, and it is good to be able to get the skating workouts in again, even if they're shorter than normal like tonight.

I'm hoping to get that last pound this weekend...I'm so close to making this challenge goal! Just have to keep eating clean and working out. I'm wiped.. hopefully that means I'll sleep tonight and stay that way. I'm off to collapse into bed!

Hello everyone. And a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you Cheryl. Your birthday lunch wasn't as bad as you thought so that's a great victory.

Everyone seems close to making their Canada Day goal. I just weighed in and lost another 1.5 so I'm over goal at 9/9.5. Maybe I'll have 10 pounds gone by Canada Day but I won't weigh to find out until next Saturday. I have really enjoyed this challenge and I'm eagerly awaiting the next one for Labor Day. Calorie counting has been the best thing I've ever done to lose weight.

Isabella, great to hear from you! You sure did awesome on this challenge! I'm with you on the CC being the best thing for me.

I met my Canada Day goal today: 194.0! Now, to figure out what my Labor Day goal will be...hmm. In the meantime, I'm looking forward to hitting the "overweight" BMI range, only 3 lbs to go! Don't think I can pull that off before Canada Day, and it's too small a goal for Labor Day, but I'll work on that until we get the new challenge going.

I'll wait to post a new thread until everyone is done, or we hit the end. That way the new thread doesn't kill this one for those still working on their CD goal.

FB -- You look lovely! And it's a great pose -- some of your expertise must have rubbed off on hubby. Congrats on the NSV!

Jammy -- Happy belated birthday! Lobster and key lime pie seem like a calorie bargain for a birthday splurge, and the scale agreed. Great news that you are up and skating again -- maybe the best birthday present!

We just set up a Wii Fit this morning! I bought it on Ebay because I wanted to help my daughter get more exercise this summer. Of course, I'll be using it too !

Hey everybody! I'm getting closer and closer to the challenge weight. If I don't make it in time, I'll be able to join everybody soon SOON. I think I can do it, I ate way too much salt last week and once the effects of that are gone I think I'll see a drop again. I've been eating super clean, lots of protein, I suspect my trainer has me eating like a bodybuilder and it's working.

-JAMMY- HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I'm sorry I missed that! Red Lobster is some good eating. YUM! Now I want it. Did you say you used to be a sailor? I couldn't understand what you typed. One tough girl! The crazy toughest thing I ever did was go through a stage when I was 18 where I wanted to be a welder, so weld I did. I'd love to workout with someone who gets my humor, too bad you're on the other side of the country! I've never visited that far west. The farthest I've made it was Las Vegas. How wonderful that you went skating! You must have missed it fiercely. I can't believe how expensive gyms are in your area... crazy.

-Layri- thanks, I blush (I swear I am shy). You're rocking some weight loss. Now you need to share photos of your hamster. I think hamsters are crazily cute in an japanesy sort of way. They look like little anime guys to me.

-Thanks sgirl- you sweetpea! It is remarkable how weight loss rapidly improves the way one feels. I'm feeling better and am ready to feel GREAT!

-retiredone- a BIG congrats on exceeding your goal! How wonderful! Great job.

-yoyoma- oh thanks, blushy blush. I'm so jealous- a Wii Fit! Is it a ton of fun? I love gadgets and love exercising with gadgets, I know I'd go crazy over it. I'd love to get one for my son (and use it as often as possible myself).

-And Jammy again- you met your goal!!! Yeah! I'm so happy for you! What an awesome birthday present to give yourself.

Back to work. I hate working on the computer on a lovely Saturday. Better than shooting a wedding I guess!

Jammy -- amazingly, I managed to miss the line where you said you met goal! Super congratulations on that! I thought the injury would sideline your efforts, but you pulled it out!

Beverly -- congrats on the loss! It's always worth it to stick with it until the scale decides to cooperate. Some folks tend to retain more water in the heat of summer, so you may be fighting with water weight.

We used the Wii Fit a lot today. There are a number of activities that are kind of ho-hum, but some are really fun. It's also fun to make the avatars, which turn out almost-recognizable. I think I will make mine thinner as I lose weight!

Evening, ladies! Okay, I must shop tomorrow, even if it is Sunday and crazy crowded. Normally I shop once a week on Tuesday mornings, but I had company for lunch twice this week, so I'm out of a lot of my staple foods. I ate chips tonight while watching a movie. Sounded so yummy and NBD before I did it, then about halfway through, I just was sorry I'd eaten any and tossed the rest. Not a major catastrophe, but still a let-down after reaching my challenge goal this morning. Where's that "kick in the butt" smiley when I need it?

I'm off to bed now. Did my upper body lifting workout today. Tomorrow is a rest day. Normally, I hate rest day, but I'm looking forward to this one.. my everything is tired from getting back into my workout routine after all the time off!

Blech. I was so freaking close to goal, and my weight has shot mysteriously up- there's no way I'll reach it tomorrow. I'm thinking it has to do with some heavy lifting on Saturday, lots of biking yesterday and too much salt. Ah well, I can't fight the numbers, they'll get there. I'm going to aim for the 4th for my challenge goal. I know I'm there, or a hair off - I am, my body is just carrying excess water right now.

Well, I wanted to be in the 180's by tomorrow but it's not going to happen. I did see them briefly early this month but it was just a fleeting visit. My own darn fault - too many social occasions and off program detours.
Congratulations to all who made it.
(Think I can lose four pounds overnight?)

Ruth, I'm sure you can lose 4 lbs overnight! Ah, well, a new challenge starts soon.

FB, if anyone can do that in 4 days, it's you, I swear! I'm bloated up, too, after my last lifting workout. (Also, those stinking potato chips I had the other day might have played a role..) I'm back OP with my eating, though, after the birthday week...whew! I'm am glad that's over with, actually.
