Totally-otally great idea!

Red Lobster can be EVIL. The last time I went I had a live lobster (no butter), which is quite low in calories. It was **** resisting those evil biscuits though.

So I'm half way to my goal, but that still leaves 10 lbs. Hopefully I'll at least get close.
I survived my spinning class. I wasn't sore right after but the next day a certain area was really sore! Dumb bike seat! I hear it takes a few times and then it stops hurting. I'm going to stick with it a few more times and see how it goes. I need make sure I keep varity in my workouts so I don't get bored.

Hey, everyone.. I realized that I haven't posted in a while so I'm here to report... my lack of anything to report. I've been retaining water for a while now, due to the fact that I'm going through every girl's favorite time of the month But, I should be safe to get on the scale on Wednesday. Hopefully, as far as a loss goes, I'll see at least something.. Though my weight loss has seemed to slow considerably. So I'm a bit afraid.

Oh, right, I DO have something to report - I have been getting active almost every day throughout this challenge.. especially recently, as the weather has been gorgeous outside. I hope this lasts for a while.

Looks like you guys are doing well.. Keep up the good work.

I also forgot to mention that I do not count my non-starchy veggies in my calorie counts, and I eat 4 to 5 portions of those a day. I'm also post-menopause. If I'm exercising, I'm around 1700-1800 calories a day, or more, depending. If not, I work at a desk from home, so I keep it low.

It works for me. YMMV.
no not at all directed at you ......I was noticing this over several seperate boards and was just curious is all. Cuz I know for my body what works....I just can't imagine eating so low right now.....once I get to goal I will probably be there but there are days that I get so busy and forget to eat.....I've had a couple of those days where I get 1000-1200 in before I simply pass out LOL and my body just kinda does a melt down around 5pm LOL

I was just generally asking people how they did it....not anyone inparticular.

Thanks though for explaining how you do it! I find it interesting I learn something new each day and most of it from the girls here at 3FC!

Way to go DMPLS! You're early!

And Layri, way to go on the keeping active!

Well, despite the alimentary indiscretion, I was down a pound this morning...3 to go, and Mother's Day is what, two and a half weeks away? I should be right on target.

C'mon ladies, this is the last stretch!

I gained 2 pounds! 30+ hours of driving on my vacation is what did me in.You need sugar and chips to stay awake right? It would have been much worse if I had not walked so much at Disney World. Oh well, had a great time and I changed my goal to 5 pounds. I need to admit defeat to move on!

Well- a pleasant surprise during an unpleasant monthly cycle. I normally gain water weight, but today I'm down a pound. That makes it all worthwhile- I tend to get discouraged around this time.

southern mama- I don't think spot reducing is possible. Check in one of the exercise forums. Overall, exercise will slim everything down considerably. Keep up the good work!

That's a lot of driving rat! I'd gain two pounds too. Glad you had fun!

The way I understand it, and I could be wrong, is that you can spot tone but can't spot fat reduce. You can tone particular muscles doing certain exercises but they won't help reduce the fat. You can't control where your body loses the fat, but it doesn't hurt to tone that muscle underneath for when you do lose the fat.

The scale showed me 176 today (After a week of water retention, bloating me back up to 180 for a while.. so FINALLY) which puts me at 8/10 lbs gone for Mother's Day, 2 left to go.

I'm gonna getcha, you two little buggers

Southern Momma,
Keep exercising... that's what really helped my hips go down. I walk a lot. I bought a treadmill and that keeps me staying in shape. Although if I overeat for some irrational reason, my hips are the first thing that start to get heavy. As long as I eat right and exercise, I'm okay. Stay strong and good luck to you!

I've been staying within my calorie range and have exercised 32 minutes on the treadmill so far today. Hope to do an hour total.
Hugs, Dena

WTG on the weight loss this week, everybody! You're all doing great!

I took yesterday and the day before off exercising, because my left knee felt off. I think I got a little too zippy with the workout on Tuesday. The knee feels good today, so I'll go skating tonight, and see how it goes. Nothing to report on the scale yet, but I noticed Wednesday that my pants are a lot looser, so that's a good sign!
