Good Morning Ladies

Thanks for the welcome, I'm going to aim for the low part of my calorie range as I'm going out to a luncheon this afternoon and I have no idea what theres serving. So keeping it low on the other meals will help me overcome the scale tomorrow morning .

ZENORNot a soda drinker, but my DD is That interesting that you found some sort of beverage that doesn't have that high sweet taste, and low in calories to boot.Lemon grass sound delish as I a lemon aid drinker. Thanks for sharing.

SCENESTEALER-I'm not into seltzers either, they have a bitter taste,So thanks to zenor I have to look out for the Dry Soda, especially when company comes over, & the holidays are so close, need a substitute for just flavored water.

DEK-Welcome I just came over here yesterday.Have 2 pcs of equipment for exercising. My stationery bike and a treadmill, but the latter is in the basement,as its a manual one and I can get used to walking on it. So I use my bike alot and I'm up to 400 rep in 20 mins. .They're so many different forms of exercising from walking, running, jogging to name a few,but you must find the ones that you like and enjoy doing to keep you motivated.

Have to go,will be back later

Hugs BB

Scenestealer~ Yup Dry Soda is the brand name. I saw it in the latest issue of Vegetarian Time (I'm not veg, but the food is yummy and healthy.) The have other flavors too. There's the lemongrass, kumquat, lavender, and rhubarb. They all range from 50-70 calories per bottle.

dek~ WELCOME!!! I walk for exercise myself. I enjoy it more then other forms. I'm also thinking about taking a yoga class, since a friend of mine raves about it. I'd try different things to see what you enjoy the most. Nowhere does it say you have to do just one form of exercise. I say mix it up!

Hi all,
New here!!
I'm so excited to get back on track...not that excited to get back to the gym but i'm trying to get my booty there right now.
Just wanted to check in. I've done pretty well with cals so far today, and I have a little rumble in the tummy but I'm going to try to get some exercise in before I eat dinner.
Hope you're all doing well!!

Smile Hello

Hi Everyone! I am new to this forum but have been counting my calories for a while. I tried a lot of different diets and found that counting my calories and working out was the best for me. I am happy I found a place to hear how other people are doing to inspire me to keep it up. I have been counting my calories well this week (coming off the holiday where I certainly did not!) and am planning on going to Turbo Kick tonight at my gym. I look forward to being involved in this forum! Have a great night!!!

I had an interesting revelation at the grocery store today. I was there to buy something I needed to make a birthday cake for DH. I'm standing in line and the checker asks the lady in front of me if she meant to pick up the unsalted butter vs. the salted. She said yes she did. I commented that unsalted was better for baking. The checker replied that this is true, but that salted butter was better for eating. That's when I realized that I don't "eat" butter anymore. Yes, I bake and cook with it on occasion, but I don't put it on toast or rolls or anything like that. I would say that it doesn't even occur to me at this point to use butter in that way. It's funny how your habits change and you hardly recognize it happening. I just thought it was an interesting revelation that I should share.

Think Thin~ Welcome!

I use the I cant believe it's not butter spray. I use it on everything except toast (it makes it soggy). but I use it on potatos, veggies, rice, etc... And I cook with Olive Oil Pam...

Hi Counters!! Well I'm glad Thanksgiving is done and over with. I managed to stay on plan. I'm back to working out regularly. Yay! I have a goal to meet besides my birthday goal. I wanna look semi bangin for my birthday in January! LOL!

Zenor- I've heard of the Dry Soda, I've seen it a lot in stores here. I heard a lady in Seattle or somewhere around here developed it as an adult soda and an alternative to the real bad stuff. I'm glad you tried it, I was waiting for someone to try it before I bought it. It's pretty pricey.

Dek6, Think Thin, Slisette, Beachbum- We're here to support you!!!

They are pricey, but as an occasional treat... For the record, I didn't like the lavender, it was too bitter. The lemongrass is yummy!

Zenor- Well I will have to march my behind over to the store to try it. I love the design of the product, definitely an eye catcher! Ok, well I like lavender scented stuff, but not too sure if I would want it in my soda, but I will try anything. (almost)! LOL!

Well I think I'm done for the days, calorie wise. I'm at 1330 or something like that. I'm not as hungry.

Hi Ladies

Slept late this morning ,and now the day is going faster than I wanted it to go.I have to get to my choir rehearsal this afternoon.

I love zig zagging my calorie range day by day,but now I see on the Biggest Loser that thats not the right way to lose weight. They [doctors & nutritionist]say multiply your weight x7=your daily calorie intake for weight loss. So mine is 163 X7=1141 and not a range from 1200-1500 like I was planning to use until I reach.

ThinkThin=Welcome I joined the thread 2 days ago,and I like you were on all sort of diets but I like the counting calories the best.Good luck on you weight loss journey.

.Zenor-I don't use butter either. In fact I use cream cheese as a spread or laughing cow instead. Once in a while I use the I Can't Believe Is Butter pump spray. I guess in baking that another matter. Most recipes call for butter.

Tinky-Thats for the welcome.I was lucky this TG I didn't gain that much it was 1 lb & now it gone.Have to really work hard on the next upcoming holidays. I'm up to 1211- tomorrow I'm planning to go a little higher, but now over my range.

Have a great afternoon

Hugs BB

beach bum~ How fast are you wanting to lose? I'm still losing (slowly) and I eat 1500-1600 calories per day. I'd starve on that equation (1064 cals.) The Biggest Loser is a bit extreme in my way of thinking. A 1-2 lb loss per week is preferable and I'm sure you can achieve that in the 1200-1500 range.

Of course I don't always trust the "professionals" they put on TV. TV producers look for the ones that are going to attract the most viewers. But I also haven't seen much of the show either.

Beachbum- that is really useful info. Mine equalled 1645. Right at the range that I am eating right now. I eat between 1500-1700 a day. So I am right there. YAY!!! And of course I know that it will go down as I lose weight.

Today started out as a good day. I had a light english muffin with 1 egg and 1 egg white for breakfast. Then I went out to lunch with my mom and two uncles and I had chicken fried steak. Then I went to my moms and had a meatball sandwhich, a cookie, and cheese and crackers. But I am not going to let that get to me. I am going to have a good dinner and Ill skip the ice cream tonight and Im going to do an hour on the tredmill tonight instead of 1/2 hour.....
