hey peeps.
i have no real new plan for november. I try and stick to 1400 cals, but if i find i dont need them all i will stop on 1300 1350 if im just eating for the sake of my cals by the end of the day.
also im trying to atch my carbs, its so easy just to get them in yor diet more then fruit and veg and protein. I have been a bit lazy with fruit and veg recently, only relying on my main meal to give me most of my nutriton. bad.

but i am still loosing which is good, i think if i plateau then i will deffinetly re-look what i eat, for now im just staying on track, and walking lots. :-)
have a good weekend ladies :-)

Ugh! I am still off plan after several months. Although the numbers haven't gone up much, I'm starting to see an unwanted difference in the mirror. Dontcha hate that?!

My birthday came and went and I am weighing in at 157 tonight at my tops meeting. I can't figure out what it takes to get back on plan.

CoolMom~ I hear ya! I'm trying to get back on plan to lose these couple pounds I gained and it's so hard! People keep inviting us out and I lose all my will power. Beer and appetizers are my downfall right now...

Hi everyone. Wow, I've been away from here so long. Well after my vacation in Sept, I came back and kinda let loose! I gained like 5-6 lbs!! So needless to say I'm back on a mission. I have my birthday coming up in January. I am doing a combo of Calorie Counting and You on a Diet. I absolutely love Dr. Oz!! LOL!
Well I will try and be more consistent with posting on here!

Coolmom- I think it's a combo of holidays, weather and all of that in between. I'm trying to get back on plan and stay on it! Good luck to you again!

Zenor-! Hey girl, how is Central WA treating ya? I'm sorry if you gave us an update, I haven't read any new posts. I was so gung-ho on postin to let you all know I'm still here! LOL!

Ok now gonna go read everything.

Hey Tinky! I was wondering where you were at!

Central WA is cool! It's already as cold as our home town in Central CA got in the middle of Winter! It hasn't snowed yet, but I'm prepared. I've got my snow boots and a cute down coat. Plus, I've been crocheting accessories up like crazy! Lol. I'm like a little kid excited about the snow. I swear I'm making a snow angel as soon as snow hits the ground.

BTW, how's your pup? And how are the folks at your work? I didn't end up going into the CNA program, but I'm still thinking about it. I ended up getting a job at an art gallery here.

I understand about the gaining thing. I've been going up and down in between 154 and 160 since we moved. Maintaining is hard. Of course, now I'm thinking about reevaluating my goal and going lower. We shall see. Right now I just want to lose a couple more pounds and stay there.

LOL, sorry, Hello everyone! I'm also a returning "veteran" I'm Tinky. I also moved up to WA from CA, two years ago. LOL! Calorie counting was the only thing that has really worked for me. I'm back on plan and doing a combo of You on a Diet and calorie counting, it's almost the same thing and same principle. Eat clean, walk, and do the workouts.I gained back 5 lbs while on vacation, and just eating irresponsibly. I look forward to getting to know you newer peeps.

Coolmom- I saw the unwanted pudge trying to creep back on too. I had to put an end to it. I do not want to undo all of the hard work! Glad to see you back!!

Zenor- Yeah the weather has turned a bit colder up here. It's been raining alot, but we're suppose to be getting a 4 day dry spell. What part did you move to again? My experience with snow here in the past is to stay home if it's needed. I found out that I'm a non essential employee. Woohoo! LOL! I went last year and found out I didn't have to, but stayed anyways. My puggy is doing well. She turned a year in August, and is crazy as ever. I love her though. I see you got a pic of your little one. How is your puppy liking it up here? The art gallery sounds pretty cool. I will be going back to CNA work after the New Years. It's time to move on. I love my residents alot, but my boss makes it more difficult for me to really want to stay there. It's ok though, I need to go.

Is everyone ready for Turkey Day next week? I really don't plan on eating alot, and I will make sure of that by having something at home before we go tothe future in laws. LOL!

Tinky~ We're in Ellensburg and getting the first snow of the season as I type this. YAY! We walk most everywhere since the town is small so I don't think staying home will be necessary. Although if it snows a lot we may get some Yak-tracks (chains for your boots.)

Our Chi is great! He turned a year in August as well.

How are all the rest of the calorie counters doing? Are we ready for Thursday? I have plans to go to my cousins house, so I have little control over food. I figure I'll just eat small portions.

Hi Ladies

New to the calorie counters part of the 3 chicks ,but not new over at the low carb part. I like to join your ladies,on your daily thread. Hope I can help,as to be helped.

I'm a retired receptionist ,that lives on Cape Cod with my DH.

I tried from every diet imaginable and now I'm eating what I want in moderation and portion size but started counting calories about two weeks ago. My calorie range is 1200-1500 and I zig zag the calorie count day by day,to keep my body guessing. So far its working as I lost 1 lb per week.

Hope you have a nice evening

Hugs BB

Welcome beachbum!

Hey guys, I wanted to share something I found. I don't drink soda very often, since I stay away from HFCS and artificial sweeteners, but I found a great one that is only 50 cals per bottle (cane suugar sweetened.) It's called Dry Soda and isn't super sweet. We got it at our local health food store. The lemongrass flavor is really yummy! It's a bit pricey, but it's great for curbing those occasional cravings.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

Zenor, is "Dry Soda" the brand? I'll look for it at the natural foods store near me tomorrow, as I won't touch artificial sweeteners but do get soda cravings on occasion. So far my best solution has been a bit of fruit juice with some seltzer, but that's not quite the same.

I try to schedule my cardio time around TV shows I like to watch. My gym has a few TVs by the treadmills, and it has personal TVs on each of the ellipticals. So if the treadmill area isn't busy, I'll switch one of the TVs to whatever I want to watch and run while I watch (can be a good motivator especially if you try to run during the show and allow yourself walk breaks whenever a commercial is on). Otherwise, I'll hit the ellipticals where I can change the channel without bothering anyone. My favorite program to work out to is The Biggest Loser, because it always inspires me to go just a bit faster/farther than I normally would
