If people are looking for sodas made with splenda I know that the diet "crush" line (cream soda, orange, grape) are made with splenda here in Canada anyways...but the orange tastes awful I would rather have the real thing and go for a walk lol.

Excited for my first weigh-in on Sunday

I use my diet coke as a reward. I will only drink it if I get in all my water for the day. It really makes me strive to get just ONE MORE glass of water in..

Diet Hansens soda is really good made with Splenda and caffeine free. I can find it at a lot of stores but it's cheaper at trader joe's

I forgot about Hansens. Gee, I was just at TJs a bit ago. Does Hansens come in cola flavor?

Aspartame actually used to be ILLGEAL because of all the bad things it does to your body. Regan changed that, and allowed it to used in certain products again (something to do with money I believe).

I passed out one day during an Anatomy and Physiology exam (I'm a Nursing student), and afterwards, I spoke to my professor (who is a Doctor), and she asked me if I drink a lot of diet pop or chew gum. When I said "yes", she explained the whole Aspartame thing to me, and that it causes seizures (among other things). I later found out that I passed out due to hypoglycaemia.

I still drink diet pop (not much), but the Aspartame thing is kind of scary.

I'm probably in the minority in a diet community, but I won't touch any kind of fake sugar, whether it's aspartame, Splenda, or anything else. My mom indoctrinated me in all the bad things that those chemicals do, and while I don't eat all organic or anything like that, I try to avoid at least the fake sugars and the colored dyes (Red #40, Blue #2, Yellow #1, etc). I don't really drink soda, but when I have a craving (which admittedly is very infrequently) I let myself have a few sips of the regular stuff.

Now that I'm serious about losing weight, my only guilty indulgences are Coke Zero (which tastes closest to the regular coke, in my opinion) and Sprite Zero. I used to get confused about the sodium people talked about, too, like Meg said, because it's only 35 mg and surely people consume more sodium than that in a day.

I do notice that when I have diet sodas I crave a lot more bad foods throughout the day. I only have them once in awhile though.

I'm new.
Hope it's ok to reply

I love diet pepsi with a passion but I think it's not entirely that great for me so I've been slowly replacing it with water or Jones Sugar Free Soda in Cherry or Cream Soda!

It's super yummie, no carbs, no sugar and it makes me think less and less about grabbing a diet pepsi
