Basically I keep sweets out of my house and also anything that is crunchy, other than cereal is not in my pantry. If I realllllly want something I have to actually go out and buy a single serving size of it at the gas station or wherever it is sold. It's a pretty good deterrent having to get up and actually leave my place to go get whatever it is I want. I've only given into cravings a couple of times after days of wanting it and I just knew it wasn't gonna go away until I had some of what I wanted.

MAN....I haven't had cereal in my house for 3 years. In the past, I used to eat it by hand...I've been thinking about buying some again, but I'm afraid that box would disappear too quickly!

OMG, Kaw, Frango Mints! That brings back memories. I am sure they would be a problem for me, if I had access to them! So smooth, so chocolatey, so wonderful.

Otherwise, cheese. I cannot leave it alone and at 100cal/oz not something to eat in quantity. I do have a very small amount of crumbled feta and blue to put (1 - 2 tsp) in my otherwise very low fat salad dressing. I keep the cheeses in the freezer. Not that putting anything in the freezer guarantees that I won't eat it - a little hard on the teeth sometimes, but doable.

Let's see......
  • cashews
  • crackers (like Wheat Thins)
  • chips and pretzels
  • licorice
  • some cheese (cheddar, especially the ones precut for crackers--too easy to grab. If it's in a block, it's more work to get out a knife, so that is safe?!?!)
  • wine (red)

That's about it.

Bread! Rolls, french bread, crossants, bagels, etc., smothered in butter! I can't eat just one!

At the same token I try not to go to resturants that have an "endless" bread bowl.

Peanut butter, cashews, pecans, and vanilla cookies!

Those are my weak foods!

Nuts! I LOVE cashews and pistachios and almonds, and I know they say it's good to eat about 6-9 of them in a salad or something, but they are SO GOOD and if I buy them, I look at them and really want to eat them all. However, I apparently have control over them, because I still have a snack pack of mixed nuts that my friend gave me, which is still wrapped and sitting in my cabinet. I need to get rid of them, though, because as soon as I open them, they'll be gone.

Let's see:

*Cookies/Cake/Sweets
*Taquitos
*Soda
*Pasta
*Sugary cereals
*Basically anything unhealthy that is ready to eat, because then I grab for it instead of planning a healthy meal

Like others, mine is ice cream and chips. I also recently had a small fit because my Son brought Domino's pizza into the house and left it there. I swear it was saying my name. I finally told him he had to get it out of the house. He took it to his girlfriend's house, where it could call to her.

Good Lord, this is making me hungry! But mine is ice cream, too, especially Ben and Jerry's! Mm, what I would give to be able to eat some Magic Brownie ice cream! I also can't keep crunchy, salty snacks around, like chips, nuts, etc. Those are my BIGGEST downfall. Even typing this is making me want chips and dip so bad!

Fresh, homemade salsa!! Oh, man! I know my salsa is very healthy but, when it's in the house, I will eat NOTHING else. Nothing. Just fill the tub with salsa and hand me a big straw.

And Dr. Pepper.

Donuts and potato chips.

Oh, and fresh bread. Don't EVEN bring a loaf of fresh-baked bread or rolls into my house or it's gone, LOL

Ice cream and homemade cakes and pies. Oh man, I love pie! I'm not quite sure what I'll do during the holiday season this year to not gain (take up running perhaps?) The problem is that I'm the one making the homemade goodies (which I love to do.) I just wish everyone else would eat it faster (so there'd be none left for me.)

Too many things to mention really but the primary poisons are pizza (even the frozen ones), potato chips (the thing I miss the most), chocolate and ice cream.
