S/C/G: Lost 50 lbs, regained some

Height: 5'3"

Default

Hey! I lost most of my weight eating Lean Cuisine meals one or two times a day. They were perfect for me because of the portion control. I added a salad or additional vegetables.

These days I have changed to eating fewer of them and cooking more--because now I'm much better trained in portion control. But they really were an important part of my food strategy.

I eat them about twice a week for lunch. I take them to work when I either wake up late or run out of other food! I love them!!!

Earlier in my weight loss, as long as we had them in the house, I'd eat them quite often. The only ones I really like are the macaroni and cheese ones, the chicken and fettuccine, sesame chicken, lasagna, and a few others I can't think of. Probably because I've never tried any others than that.

I also tried a south beach diet frozen pizza once and it was pretty good.

I haven't eaten any of these in quite a while, though, I prefer home cooked meals. I'll still jump for progresso soups and boca burgers though.

Hi..enjoy LC or HC every now and then. I don't eat them daily - but, sure do enjoy having certain things they offer like: French Bread PIzza, Mac and Cheese, Lasagna, Chinese or paninni's. I think they are great, for me, when I am in a hurry or have a taste for something different.

They were on sale for me as well this week, so I bought a couple. They are really tasty(I think), cheap, and take the guesswork out of preparing meals. I also like eating them for lunch because they seem more exciting then a boring sandwich, which makes me happier about eating less, rather than supplementing my sandwich with something unhealthy like chips.

I like Lean Cuisines, Smart Ones, Healthy Choice. I don't eat them every day, but I do use them pretty often. Like so many others, I add salad and some freshly steamed veggies.

With everyone on their own schedules, it is rare that the three of us sit down to a meal together so the guys just make what they want and I make what I want. And if I don't feel like cooking, it is nice to be able to steam a few veggies and nuke my dinner.

Because I live alone I do this a lot. Probably 4-6 days a week. I don't feel like cooking when I get home from work, esp if it's just for me. I lost 60 lbs doing this a few years back and I have 30 to take off again. Sigh. But it worked well because, as someone mentioned. It helps with protion control.

Default Lean Cuisine Daily

The 5 for $10 definitely roped me in this week! I hadn't had a frozen mean in 10 years. The Spa Cuisine caught my eye and I am impressed with the # of veggies and the grilled chicken. (I tried the baked chicken and I am not a fan!)

I need to lose the 15-20 lbs that I gained over the past 5 years. I realized that my issue is portion control. I eat healthy foods, but I'm a nibbler, so I hadn't really been eating meals ... just snacking ALOT.

Here's my plan ... let me know your thoughts:

Breakfast - a cup of berries
Lunch - Lean Cuisine
Snack - Small Salad with veggies
Dinner - Lean Cuisine
Snack - banana

I'm eating the Chicken Mediterranean LC right now ... and it is yummy and filling. The ingredients don't look that bad, and the sodium is 590 mg, which is less than I expected.

Default Single serving meals

I said this in another thread, but the Lean Cuisines/Smart Ones/Target brand etc, frozen entrees are really keeping me on track for now. I try to mix it up with carefully measured home meals, but the single servings are a lifeline for me to re-learn portion control and get my body used to eating smaller meals. And they are great for calorie counting because the number is on the box!

My guy and I usually each have 2 meals on hand a week for those nights when we/I dont feel like cooking. It's a good alternative.

Is that enough food? It looks like 1000 max. Have you tried working out more instead of eating less?

I eat WW Smart Ones and love them! I have 1-2 each day and sometimes add a salad or veggies.

When I lost weight before, I would cook the same meals my kids had and figured out the calories. Now that I'm so much busier, it's easier to eat a WW meal until I get the hang of this.

I agree, it looks like you aren't eating enough. How many calories are you averaging per day?
