Default Red Team Frozen Fiesta 2013 Exercise Thread Week 1 (Jan 5/13 - Jan 13/13)

For an effective weight loss program it is important to incorporate exercise as well as making better dietary choices. While any kind of exercise is good for you, it has been proven many times over that just cardio or just strength training isn't the way to go...you need to have a combination of both, with a little bit of core focus as well. So as you plan out and track your exercise this week, be sure to get in 2-3 strength workouts and 2-3 cardio sessions. And don't forget about those abs! Copy and paste the follow format and come back throughout the week to edit your original post. Let’s move those bodies!

Thursday- 50 minute walk

Friday- 30 minute walk

Saturday- rest day

Sunday- 30 minutes elliptical; crunches; free weights; squats

Monday- 28 minutes elliptical (311 cal.); 9 minutes bike (39 cal.); 33 minutes treadmill (361 cal.). Total = 711 calories today.
Tuesday- 30 minutes elliptical (333 cal); 40 minutes treadmill (424 cal); 60 minutes walking around campus (341 cal). Total = 1098 today.
Wednesday- 30 minutes elliptical (343 cal); 40 minutes treadmill (464 cal). 6 hours at work, which I averaged out to be about 1000 calories. Total = 1807 today.
