Brrrr...It's mighty cold. But, I did manage to break a sweat during my workout that I'm newly committed to. Let's hope it turns this nasty gain around.

Go Red!

Hi ladies. It's mid week. Hows everyone doing this week?
Still colder than cold here, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel with warmer temps on the weekend.
Didn't walk the dog today, but did take the stairs at work twice today.

Food has been good, but it's hard to drink water when its cold. I'd much rather have a hot cup of tea or coffee.

Make mindful choices and have a great evening.

HI Red Team,
I hope everyone's week is going well, I'm back on program and keeping my calories down. I went back to the begining of writing everything down and journaling during the day, I had gotten away from that and had been just loging my food on line, which I still do. The physical act of writing down what I've eatten helps make it real to me.
Mel- Brrrrr, we're supposed to get some of that cold coming through tonight and tomorrow. Time to crank up the electric blanket.

Zogo-Keep sweatin' it burns more calories to break a sweat when it's cold.

Andynoo- Enjoy your dance class, what kind is it, I wish I could take a zumba class.

Narnia-As long as it's coming off then it doesn't matter how slow. I don't lose very fast either, but it doesn't mean I don't have other signs of my body's response to what I'm doing. Hang in there

I hope everyone has a great rest of the week. DS goes back on Saturday and I'll be a nervous wreck all day till he gets there. He's a grown man and the US government trusts him but I still get anxious about him driving 300 miles.

It's 19 degrees over here right now, which makes me want to die of cold.

Cold air makes me really wheezy, even when walking.

I've been sick (thank you, Amtrak travel), but was feeling better yesterday and am definitely going running today. Hopefully I can get through today without an afternoon nap.

everyone

Thanks Mel and Bette K for your encouragement I'm feeling better now. I just need to keep reminding myself that it's not just all about the number on the scale.

Sounds like a lot of us are dealing with cold weather right now. It's been snowing here the last few days, but it's supposed to warm-up again on the weekend. I can't wait as I won't drive in the snow.

Have a great day everyone!

I got through my run AND I didn't nap today, so I am happy.

I also shaved 20 seconds off my 5k time -- new best is 43:58. I'd like to be sub-38 by my bday (may 1).

Happy Friday Team!
This week flew by.which is a good thing as the cold is here for another day or two.
The kids had swimming lessons last night, so I hopped on the elliptical for 30 min. I didn't want to, but I'm glad I did.
Trying to keep eating/mindless snacking under control with TOM bearing down. It's amazing how disciplined you can be for 3w out of the month and then get derailed, grrr.
How has everyone done with getting movement in?

Shanhat81- good job in the new 5K PR!

Bette- enjoy the last few days with your son.

Zogo- goOd job on breaking the sweat

Loose seal, Narnia, Andynoo- good job on getting moving

Hi Team,
We're finally starting to warm up here too in the PNW with an expected high of 47*. The rain I can take!
I'm going to try to get my dogs out today too. They've been cooped up for about 4 days now.

I'm trying to force the water down too. It's taking a lot of conscious effort as I too, would rather hot tea or coffee.

Well, I sucked it up and went to WW. This has been a terrible week.

But I lost 1.6

Go figure.

90 minutes on the elliptical today ... I am soooooo close to 159, and once I get there, I'm single digits to a normal BMI.

Hey y'all, I don't know what is going on but I stayed this same this week and did nothing different. I have increased my water so we will see what happens next week!

This week I did not do well. I ate fine but I didn't go running once. :/ The weather got cold here finally. I was really hoping we could just skip winter! I think next week will be better. I had a lot of stress this week. Going back to work (which was emotionally terrible for me since I work at the Fox theatre and my ex and I went there all the time thanks to employee perks), meeting with my ex to talk after 3 weeks of nothing, and 2 job interviews. I just didn't have the energy to go running. But today I was 184.0, so at least I'm losing. And I hope that my motivation returns next week.

H Red Team!
2 more lbs gone this week even with the over eating last weekend and not getting to the gym, but I did get back to basics with writing down ev erything I ate and journaling again. I guess if I have to write it down then I'm less likely to eat it. We had snow here today, I'm not sure how much but probibly 3-4 inches or betterless that an hour north of us got 7 inches. I was getting pretty anxious as every school around here canceled school or let the kids out early except the school DD goes to. Her bus was 15 minutes late home too, I hate that. But DH and DD both got home safely within 5 minutes of eachother. DS is leaving about noon tomorrow so I will worry all afternoon about him until he gets back to the base. I baked cookies today and I'm sending most of them with DS so they aren't here where I can eat them.

Have a great weekend everyone
Bette K
