My computer is down so I am posting from the library. *pout*
Weight is down a little more but I am major stressing without not being able to track my calories on spark. The last two days were rough but today WILL be much better.
I'll be able to go to the library again on Tuesday so I will chat more then.
I think I got this question right, Is it possible to lose inches, but not pounds? For me it's a yes, I've gone down in size, but the scale would not budge for it seemed forever. I just stuck to my plan, and changed up my exercise and the last 5wks I've lost every week. So for me, my body needed to catch up to all the great things I was doing.
Thanks River-I will try
dixied-sorry that the scale is not being nice to you, but looks like it's only temp.
Thxs everybody I have noticed my clothes fit more loose yet the scale isn't good. I guess for everybody its different. I think with me I might need the combo of lbs and inches lost.
Woke up this morning and was a bit afraid to get on the scale 'cause we went out to dinner last night. The scale read 174.2!! WooHoo! I literally danced around the bathroom. That is a loss of 1.6 lbs. so far this week. Finally! For me .5 lbs is the average. Nice to know once in awhile I will see a bigger number. So I am at 10.3 lbs so far this challenge. I really believe I will do it this time, not like the million times I have tried before with hokie fad diets. Counting calories and working out really does work!
I hear from another forum that our fearless leader, DEE, is running a 5 K this morning. She's promised to have some cool & groovy photos to share with us this afternoon. I'm hearing rumors of BIG HAIR and tattoos!!!
I'm doing my first 10K today, running with my husband. There isn't a race anywhere nearby today so we're going to do our own route. I'm a bit nervous and hope that my endurance will hold out for the entire distance.
Well today is another day I hope to do good this up comin wk apart from my b-day on Tues and my friends are takin me to a buffet and to go out for drinks after. I'm gonna enjoy it but not go over board. I'm definately gonna put in the hardwork for my workouts this wk. As long as I don't gain thats all I care about and if I lose its a plus.
well i'm back from my vacation not sure if the scale will be nice or not. i'll know in the morning in the meantime i plan on getting back on plan tommorrow
rhonda, hope you've found some relief for your mental stress. sometimes a good cardio session helps me.
institches, hang in there!!
zinke, bummers about your computer. i know what ya mean about tracking calories online. i track on TDP and when mine was down for a couple of days earlie this year, i was totally at a loss. at least we have the library!
mary and mj, great losses this week...and mary - even after going out to eat!!!
me4life, hope you had a good vacation! where'd you go?
well, i can post a 1 lb loss this week. i was hoping for more since i was at this weight last tuesday or wednesday. but i had 3 higher calorie days (wed., thurs., fri) and we went out for happy hour/dinner last friday so i'll take the 1 lb loss.
my goal, at this stage of the challenge, is to break into the 180s by the end of it. it doesn't sound like a lot but i rarely lose more than a lb a week so i have to stay diligent with the planning of meals. hard to believe we only have 3 more weigh-ins left.
i was not expecting alot from this weeks weigh in but am happy to so i show 4 lbs. down personally i am thanking the fact that my sister has stairs that i had to climb 20 times a day. cause my dieting was definately not on. back to being op for me today.
I ended up with a migraine after the race on Saturday, so I've spent the weekend in bed. The race was good, I finished in 36:19, so I'm happy about that. Here's the link to the newspaper articles, I don't see myself in the photos, but there were 9441 runners, and we're mostly wearing green.
I've been looking at our weigh-in and % lost so far. At this point everyone has either maintained or lost, so woo-hoo!
I'm at the front desk today, so hopefully I can check in more often.
