One more quick stop in before I'm off to work!

To answer the Goal/Commitment question for this challenge....

Goal is to be aware, everyday of what I am stuffing in my face and to make planned choices :^: as well as get 4 days of exercise a week. My challenge is much like that of reda in that we are doing something EVERY STINKING weekend during the summer. We have a place in Lake Havasu City 6 months out of the year and I have to be on task there as well! If we are not gone, it seems like we are constantly preparing for the next trip. I have a tendency to put off the gym and grab quick snacks when there are constant prep to-do lists approaching. Need to slow down... take care of me first... and then I can give the best me to my family. I hope to hit my goal weight (150) by the end of the challenge. Gonna hafta work hard and keep actively deciding how to fuel my body and break a sweat!

Okay... off to the place that pays my bills! Have a great day teamies!

Oops, forgot to add...

My goal for this challenge is to lose 20 lbs and try to stay OP the entire time. This is going to be hard considering Summer is almost here, BBQ season and birthdays galore in my family (including mine). I've already decided that June 11 is my one off plan day, I'm going to eat my cake and enjoy it! LOL

Thanks for the kale chip recipe Soulbliss. I love to cook – always looking to try new things so speaking for myself, I’d love to see other people’s ideas.

My question to the group – I’m sure we’ll set up some sort of exercise challenge but is anyone interested in doing some sort of a food challenge? I’m not sure of what exactly myself but since food goes hand in hand with weight loss :dunno:

You're welcome!

As far as food challenges are concerned, I did an "Out of the Box" challenge last time, focusing on eating fresh, whole foods with a minimum amount of vegetables and fruits daily. There was a lot of interest and some participation last time. It's where I'm interested in going again. ;)

I really recommend listening to Ali on Jillian's radio show (I posted the link in ehre somewhere). Even if you don't know who she is, it is so inspiring to hear that girl talk. She said two things that really hit home with me:

"Believe it. Be it." She talked about this like you just have to get it in your head that you can and will do it, period. Then live like it's reality pretty much.

"Set yourself up for success." She knew that when she really wants something she self-sabotages, so she put frozen yogurt in her freezer during that home time before the finale, instead of ice cream. She kept finding herself at the fridge in the middle of the night, as she knew she would, but it was the frozen yogurt instead of ice cream and she would add it into her calories...so she knew what was going to happen and set herself up for success by not having the junk stuff in the house for those nights. She said it over and over in different circumstances, but the bottom line of looking where my problems might be and setting it up for success makes so much sense to me! I am going to think about how to do this for myself today.

Girl, I LOVED listening to Ali too! She is so inspirational, and I think she's gonna do well in her life. What is sticking with me was her saying to "set yourself up to win". Even when she snacked, she set herself up to win, by having Frozen yogurt in the freezer rather than Ben & Jerry's. She soooo rules! :D

Ahoy black team!

Hello to my returning teammates! I am so sad to have to leave John at the beach party, but my a$$ is getting big from drinking and lounging...boo!

Hello new teamies!

Holy crap it's busy in here! A nice change from only having about 20 something people left at the end of the last challenge. Stick with it people! Don't leave us to carry your dead weight! Please, pretty please????

Aww man....no Diva....boo....you better be beeyotching to your new team about how much you miss us!!!!!!

I had fun reading everybody's little fact sheets!!

Anne - WOW! You've almost lost 100 pounds!! Double WOW!! I'm impressed with your workout commitment and your stats and honored to be on your team!

Julz - You're an awesome leader!!

My goal is to lost at least 13 pounds so I will be "overweight" and no longer obese. :) I want to stay OP every day and burn 3500 calories per week.

I would LOVE IT if the Black Team finished this challenge with the fewest number of drop outs. I couldn't believe the last challenge we finished with only 22 members. We can do better than that!!
