Check out my horoscope today:

April 27, 2008

Aries(3/21-4/19)

You can make your most ambitious visions come true as long as you are realistic about how long it will take. Trying something new requires a commitment, so don't embark upon a new endeavor unless you are ready to give it your all for the long haul. Losing interest after a few days is not acceptable -- it could cause you to abandon something that has great promise. It's time to buckle down and really stick to what you want. That's the only way to make it happen.

Hmmmmmmmmmm.......;)

Hi girls, I just want to wish everyone good luck, I am going to try to lose 15 lbs this challenge.

Purplefirefly 04-27-2008 11:29 AM

Instead of setting a pound goal, I am challenging myself to be OP every day of the challenge. My biggest problem is not losing the weight, but in consistency. I get to a certain weight and just stay there...a mental plateau where I am keeping myself there. So, I'm working on consistency and will be OP every day of the challenge. I have my stickers out (thanks for that idea, mj) and have a plan written out of what OP means so there is no room for excuses and talking myself into givin undeserved credit.

I am so excited to get on the losing track again :goodvibes:

I like both those ideas, it we can stay OP, the pounds and inches will follow!!

I will stay OP with food and exercise and I will enter the 120's this challenge.

That's a fantastic idea. I think I shall try that too, and of course for me OP means allowing room for a lil' craving indulgence.

I too keep checking back. This is my first challenge.

My goal will be to stay OP each day of the challenge. I will also lose 15 lbs. It will get me to my ultimate goal. I am so excited to start this.

I just did 4.3 miles, walking. I did a little jog for maybe .75 of it, but the toe was into it.

While I was out, I heard a great podcast for those of you who are into that. The NPR: FOOD podcast (free at iTunes) for 4/25 is really good. One part is an interview with Michael Pollan. Another is a chef turned Harvard Med student who teaches doctors how to cook, then a restaurant review a 4th story that was OK. The first two were really interesting.

I can't wait to start, and find out which team I am on !!!!! :hyper:This is excruciating!! Does anyone know where the teams will be posted? Will it be under a Sticky, or will it be posted here?

This is gonna be awesome!! I can't wait!! :D

Hun.e.B 04-27-2008 01:35 PM

There will be new stickys started, one for each team. That is also where you will post your weigh ins each week.
