Well I just got news that after next month I'll be graduating and getting my associates in Business Systems Administriation!
Now call me crazy, but I'm actually going back in to get my associates in Accounting since I'll be taking accounting 4 in May/June so it just makes sense to pay for a few more classes and get another degree. Then its off to Christopher Newport University for my Bachelors and Masters :faint: I'm already way over calories for the day but its ok cause Aunt Flow is hungry too. :p |
Congrats Chelle!! That is awesome!! You are going to be degree'd out once you get all of your degree's! I got my Bachelor of Science and that was enough for me (one major, no minors). My husband on the otherhand got his Bachelor of Arts (double major'd Biology and Chemistry, minor'd in Math) and is now getting his PhD. I give props to you for continuing on!
I always seem to be over on calories when Aunt Flow is hungry! ;) |
NSV for me today. I was tired of switching back and forth between the same few pairs of pants for work, I pulled out some pants that I have not been able to fit in for 3-4 years (after I started putting the weight back on after my wedding), I can wear them again!! Yippee!! Even my size 18 jeans from Eddie Bauer that run super small!! No more 18W's....they are getting too roomy for the liking! I'm down from a size 22 to an 18! My high school size was a 16 so I'm almost there inches wise, weight wise I still have like 60 pounds :?: Of course in high school I could not run and I've now been running for a few months and have noticed major leg muscle definition forming! :carrot:

I too am wishing for a viable electric car. I'm hoping it will come in time to be my next vehicle. In the mean time, I bought an electric bike (scooter with pedals). It should be here next week :)
Hope everyone is doing well. I'm loving our spring weather. I'm excited that the contest is beginning soon. I'm counting the days... |
Hi Everyone,
It took a while to catch up on all the reading since I haven't been in much this week. I got a clean bill of health from the dr this week, had a mammo and an ultrasound and they couldn't find the lump on either soit wasn't anything. Stopped and priced getting party announcements printed for my son's graduation next month, then went and bougth a good printer and some cardstock and I'm doing them myself. They look pretty good I think. I'll print them and then take them to work to cut apart. You can count me as one who hasn't been followint any diet plan, the dr did tall me with PCOS I would never be able to lose weight with just diet, exersize was the important part to get my metabolism going. I guess I always knew that it's just doing it. Well I have to go and start printing announcements, see you all later. Bette |
I've had a really bad week all around (no exercise, compulsive eating, depression :() so I'm going to post my 5 goals in the hope it will get me going again. :^:
1) Stay On Plan! that means eat within my WW points. 2) Get 300 to 400 min. of exercise/week 3) Swim 3 - 4 days/week 4) Cook and pack my lunch at lest 4 days/week 5) Get 3 servings of yogurt/day This might be a little steep but I want to get as slim and fit as I can before I go to London in September.:smug: |
Chelle--Congrats on the degree. School and working full time is not fun. I know and so do you. I only take one class at a time and that is enough for me. At the master's level the workload is ridiculous. I've never been afraid of hard work and I don't like to half a.. anything but sometimes I am like WTF????
Nori--My whole reason for not going to the gym is the drama. You have to sign up and they do a roll call once you are in there. They do this based on the equipment. So when they run out they know someone is not on the list. People refuse to fess up. Ridiculous. People trying to hurry up and get equipment and are willing to push you out of the way or knock you down. Who wants to go to the gym and get stressed out? I'm not trying to catch a case because I want to work out. I do miss my Powerflex class which sounds like your 24Pump. We worked a different muscle group with each song. I'm a purse girl and I love that one. I may have to add it to my reward list. I was planning on weighing on Saturday. I'm debating because I have a busy day and I'm afraid I might forget. We'll see. |
BetteK--YAY for a clean bill of health! I know it is hard with PCOS, my sister has it and is now trying to lose weight. Her doctor also had her start with exercise. She had a lot of excuses, so he started her just getting up a little early to exercise (the only time she had to do it) and then he said he'll talk to her next appointment about the next step if she can get the exercise going...she has and is enjoying it. It is possible, hang in there
likenoother--that doesn't sound like a good gym! Or are they all that way these days? It's been awhile since I've been in one. LittleBigGirl--bad weeks happen to us all, what counts is that you realize what's driving that bad behavior and correcting it. Don't wait til Monday either, you can turn it around TODAY and be feeling so much better by Monday :) Back on track. I feel like today is going to be a better day for me. We've got another hot day, hubby is coming home, and I just feel positive. :crossed: we'll see how it turns out. |

Speaking of which, the sun is shining today, so I need to get my whites washed! |
Jeff has been reading about electric cars and alternative fuel sources online a lot. He's like a kid doing a book report--he reads all this stuff at work during the day (when he's bored) and then comes home and reports what he's learned :p Not that we can even come close to affording any of it--we can't even afford a hybrid (plus our realtor had a Civic hybrid and said she was only getting 30-35 mpg. I get 30 mpg in my regular non-hybrid Civic that cost like $8k less).

ok, so maybe last night would count as a last hurrah...I totally overate again. UGH! Don't even know why I did. I was still a little hungry, but not super hungry. Anyway, I did it. Today is a new day, fresh start!
Plan for today is to make healthy food choices, extra water, hit the gym right after work--arms/shoulders and cardio. My knee is still pretty sore so I am hoping that gets better quick! Hope everyone is having a good day! |
Today will be a better day mj!! Just remember how that overeating made ya feel and let it drive you to make better choices!! You can do it!!

Hi everyone. Seems like everyone's getting ready for the big challenge...it's so exciting! I miss my once a week weigh in with my team.:(
I'm still killing it at the gym and losing NO weight. grrr. BUT....today I tried on a little summer dress thingy with spagettti straps and it looked almost good.:) I can definitely see my body changing and getting stronger. Okay now for my confession....yesterday I came home from work...AFTER WORKING 14 HOURS ON A MED/SURG FLOOR!!!!...and ate the following: 2 double cheeseburgers and 3 mozzarella sticks!!!!!!!! Gahhhh....I was sooo hungry and I swear I don't even care. I haven't eaten fast food in almost 7 months and I'm right back on plan today (eating my steel cut oats as I type this!) so it's OKAY. My husband bought McDonalds for the kids and himself because I was working late and I ate what was left in the fridge. I don't know, maybe this will do something to snap my body out of my weight loss stall. ;) Anyway, I like to put down in writing my intentions and my intention is to not eat fast food for another 6 months! It tasted delish in the moment, and I don't regret eating it, but I respect my body more now and I want to fuel it with good/healthy foods. Have a great day everyone. |
I hurrahed again last night. :( It was a classic example of self-medicating with food. I've got to get back to blogging, that seems to be the best way for me to deal with these issues. I'm still working on the project from Hades, so I just wanted to report in. I know if I didn't I'd be much more likely to keep eating the wrong things.
