OH YEAH? Well, the blue team is going to hand defeat to you on a platter!

Unless I am on your team, and in that case, GO RED!

Bring it on blue!!! We are ready for ya!

Wow I am divided. Both Blue and Red have some awesome peeps on them! I am excited to learn which team I will be on!

I am proud of myself. Today I carpet & upholstery cleaned (used green produt) It worked awesome! Then I cleaned the oven. Hate doing that job due to the easy off spray makes me sick. Chose not to use it and scrubbed with a mix of salt, baking soda and vinegar and lots of muscle on that scrubbie!

The energy level of you all is contagious! It rocks!

Do you like fruits and veggies?

Of course you do. I just wanted to make you aware of a problem with honey bee colonies called CCD. Haagen-Dazs has put together a great website to educate people on the problem and the broader implications. For those of you who go to farmer's markets, if someone is selling honey or bee-based products, please check them out. Even if you don't buy, thank the beekeeper for his role in putting food on our tables.

We are not afraid of you!!

Ok, I am a little afraid of the hula hoop.

onthetee--Thanks! I feel SO much better b/c I didn't! Hope your toe is feeling ok.

Julia--I despise cleaning the oven because of the smell. Even if I leave the house afterwards, the dogs are still stuck in the stinkiness...I'll have to try your mixture!

The dining room is clean! The beagles are done sniffing around, so must be they approve! I even helped my mom move some furniture this afternoon. Needless to say, I am tired! Just a little bit of laundry left and then I get to be lazy for a bit!

I am SO ready for the challange to start. This is my first one, but I really want something to help me focus and I think this will help a lot.

Have a great evening!

To echo onthetee I posted a crappy weight this morning too but I know I will have a good week and post a loss on my first weigh in. It is beautiful here today but after spending 7 hours in the sun with a Special Olympics event I am drained. I wore my pedometer and got a lot of steps in like I knew I would. I will be on and off here tonight because in the past I've been on as Chelle has been posting teams really late at night/early in the morning. It looks as if a lot of people will miss the cut off time.

For dinner tonight:

sauteed pea pods, onion, garlic and asparagus tossed with orzo and leftover kebob chicken.

That's kind of funny, because tonight we'll have shrimp done with garlic, lemon, white wine, hot pepper flakes. And I'll toss in the snow peas into the skillet to try and make it a one pot meal. No pasta tonight because I was aiming for higher protein, but just realized I'm at 35% (I aim for 30% minimum). So a few quick changes (good thing I hadn't taken all of my afternoon snack) and I'll add in a little whole wheat pasta. I'll have to go see what we have.

Hi everyone! OK so last night I was taken out to a very fancy restaurant. It was nice except nearly everything on the menu had cream and/or bacon :faint: and there were only only four items that didn't have meat  (this includes the salads). I'm a vegetarian so this didn't leave me many options. I ended up with a cup of (creamy) tomato soup and salad with almonds, feta and (creamy) vinaigrette. They weren't bad and I staid OP :), but I wasn't very satisfied especially considering the price:yikes:. It was a little disappointing because I rarely get to go to such a nice place. :( Ah well. The company was good :)

Wow, that would be a bummer. We have all kinds of food rules for different family members as well, and we typically end up doing the When Harry Met Sally kind of ordering. I don't know that we ever can get anything "as is"! Don't let an expensive restaurant intimidate you from custom ordering. I think they are less resentful of it than some chains.

As a fellow vegetarian, I feel your pain, Little. I ALWAYS have to order custom dishes, like onthetee said. But I find it hard to feel bad about doing it when even every salad option has meat in it.

I am SUPER excited for this challenge to start, and to find out which team I'm on!

I hear you on that one....its about $3.50/gal here! OMG!

zinkemomx2 04-26-2008 08:43 PM

Still "cheap" here at only $3.68 a gallon. I was told the other neighboring town was up to $3.79 already. Diesel is $4.29'ish.
