mugsy.. it's ok because i think of you as mugsy :D it's sexual sea monkey is what it means :D

and THANKS :D the good thing about losing weight is fitting into clothes... the bad thing is that i only have so many work clothes and they are all getting either too big or i'm not small enough to fit into them yet

Can't stay long now but just want to say that I hope there's a Black Team next go around.

1. There's so many of us who want to be on it.

2. The teams will be too huge if not. It was so hard to keep up with everybody when the challenge started and the threads were many pages long each day. I think somebody else just said the same thing a few posts back.

What does everybody else say?

Hey ladies!
I have been missing for a while and had to come in and say thank you to all of you guys for being so supportive. Diva, Soulbliss, Michie, and all of you wonderful ladies that gave me advice about my jerk @zz ex. I really needed that. Yoiur kind words were so amazing. I really cant thank you enough!
Our last interaction sent me into a DEEP depression that had me laid out for the past 3 weeks. I went out this weekend, got some fresh air and a fresh perspective so I'm great now.

Gotta go do some work but I'll be back later.
Love you guys.
KARMA

Hey Black Team!

Just wanted to clear up something that I had said in the Blue Team thread and I know that some of you were becoming concerned about.

The Black Team actually started off as an overflow team last challenge to help take on some 3FC members that didn't quite make the deadline for the initial Red & Blue Teams. This challenge however was the first challenge we had three dedicated teams because of the huge amount of people we had sign up for the new year.

Normally, there is a pattern to our participation of the challenge. In the winter months there is usually strong participation, the spring and summer is when things usually mellow out and dwindle because of vacations and such. Because of this pattern, there was a consideration of there not being a Black Team for this round. This was mainly to help with team numbers, chat participation and team morale.

After talking to both Julie and Melissa, I've come up with a compromise so that we can keep all three teams functional through the spring and summer months. There will be a Black Team next round, and Julie will be the Team Leader. But, because the numbers will eventually dwindle down because of drop outs, we will more than likely be merging the team chats once team numbers start to get low. This doesn't necessarily mean that the black team will go low in participation, I just want to make you aware that there will more than likely be a merge later in the game.

If you by chance forget this later, it will be posted in the FAQ of the next challenge.

This information is also news to Julie as she is/was offline when I made this decision. If you need to ask me any questions about it, please feel free to do so.

Thanks! :D

:chin: Hmmm TBL meets Survivor - that might be kinda fun :D

Makes sense about the dwindling numbers - just like the gym come May and June. Glad to see that Team Black will be back.

I am original Black team, returning for the next challenge and hoping to be on the Black team again. Since you guys are going to the in-between challenge chat, I might pop in if you don't mind and participate in the chatting.

I've always thought that was what it meant but didn't ask because I didn't want to seem like a PERV!!!

Anyway, you DO look great. ;)

Dea 04-07-2008 07:44 PM

Thanks for the clarification Chellez....just having bits and pieces of info is how nasty rumors start (I know that never happens here though!!)...so thanks again!

I am starting a new diet/lifestyle program with some ladies from my church called "First Place" ( i think ). Has anyone else ever heard of it??

Diva 04-07-2008 10:32 PM

I saw this at another site and thought it was funny.
**********************************

A cat dies and goes to heaven. God meets her at the door and says welcome, you are now in heaven and anything you want will be yours you just have to ask. The cat says to God, I have never had a fluffy pillow to sleep on. That would be really nice. God then made arrangements and got the cat a nice fluffy pillow.

Meanwhile, on earth 6 little mice get hit by a car. They end up in heaven and God meets them as well. He presents the same question and they say. We would like roller skates. On earth we were always being chased by cats and humans with brooms. So God gives them roller skates and off they go. A few days later God sees the cat basking in glory on her new pillow. When God asked her how she was liking Heaven the cat replied. Oh my dear God, I love my new pillow it is the most comfortable in all the land, and those meals on wheels are awesome. God fainted!

Soul-DD is 5 going on 13. I can't imagine what its gonna be like when she is 13. I hear ya about the clutter. It drives me nuts and causes me unneeded stress, but yet no matter how hard I try it still seems to accumulate.

sxulc-*whistles* Looking good gf! Sexual Sea Monkey :o: lol: I woulda never guessed thats what it stood for.

diva-your ten pound goal sounds so doable! You have the ambition and drive to make it happen. Becareful when drooling over "muscles", I'd hate for you to slip and fall while on the treadmill. Hmmm.. you're making me think I need to head to the gym again and check out the locals ;).

Ceegee-thanks for the beach challenge. It was fun! Maybe we can do another mini challenge in between the BL challenges to keep us motivated.

Vanetta-Thats an awesome loss for the week, congrats to you.

Karma, Dea, hopeforme

Manda- I hope you change your mind and decide to join us in the next challenge. Even if you don't you can still chat with us and keep us posted on how things are going for you and your family

ggmugsy-way to go on your loss for the week. I'd definitely take 1.8lbs.

Did you all see the 3FC 5K is scheduled for this weekend. I really would like to do it, but will be in Detroit, for bowling not to mention a girls weekend out! :carrot::carrot:

dream710 04-07-2008 10:40 PM

thats funny

hope4me 04-08-2008 01:23 AM

Just wanted to say a big thank you for all the support during the challenge and for helping me to lose 15 lbs! Yay! :carrot:

I think a mini Black Team challenge between challenges would be great!!

Mikella 04-08-2008 06:45 AM

Dream, You could do the 3FC 5K on Friday. They have an early bird group doing it then. I joined last night and am excited about doing it. It would be great if they met the 100 person goal so everyone come and join it.

dream710 04-08-2008 06:49 AM

Mikella its good to hear from you! I wish I could do the early bird but I leave Thursday night and don't get back til Monday afternoon. I know that Manda is not planning on doing the next challenge, are you?

Good luck on the race!

i agree..... but since we can't call it the black team challenge (because it will confuse people) we should make it called something else

also, what forum would we post it in??

ps: i'm down another 2 today :D I'M IN THE M-Fin 180's BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sxulcmnky 04-08-2008 07:00 AM

wow i didn't know so many people thought so many different things :D and that right there is the beauty of my SN :D

tamaralynn 04-08-2008 08:26 AM

Well I picked a good time to do this - after the challenge... I sprained my ankle pretty bad yesterday, going in for xrays today.

BTW, I fit into size 16 now!! WOOHOO!!!!

Again GREAT JOB everyone!!! Thanks for all of your support.

You could call it something like TBL "In Between Challenge" Challenge or something like that - too early in the a.m. for me to think creatively :dizzy: ...

Seemed like there were people on all the teams that wanted to keep the momemtum going and since there is a section dedication to TBL, I'd just post it here and open it up to anyone who wanted to participate.

I'm sure Chellz will clean up the old stuff after WMB is over so it shouldn't be too cluttered. Just a thought...

Congratulations to all who finished the challenge this time around!

Roger-o... i'll make it this morning

Diva 04-08-2008 09:33 AM

Good morning beauties!

tamaralynn, so sorry about your ankle. I hope it gets better soon! WTG on the size 16! It's so awesome shinking isn't it?

I am about to do my BL2 Workout that I won from here. I am sore from yesterday but it's a good sore. I feel like a little Jillian in the making. I mean, I am starting to get hard core over here. Now when I walk outside and see a HUGE hill rather than dread it and fear an asthma attack, I am like, I'm totally gonna kick that hills a$$! :D

Anyway, I made an ALL teams & newbie thread. Maybe peeps will post there so we can get to know some new peeps and other team members before the new begins. Hope to see you all there.

Love, Hugs & Kisses!

ChopperChick355 04-08-2008 09:39 AM

Hello eveyone back from my weekend getaway!! Had a blast but had to post a gain of one pound sorry........ I figured it would be more than that because I did not eat OP nor did I drink much water as I was to busy drinking other GOOD drinks!!!!
Looking forward to the next challenge and hopefully I will be able to stick to goal more often than I did this time, I do want to say thanks to everyone for the support given during this challenge it does really help.
Hope everyone has a great day today!!!!

LondonJulz 04-08-2008 10:47 AM

Results are posted!!! And, per a request via PM, I'll be posting the biggest loser for each weight group in our team chat later today. :D

Way to go ladies! You rocked it this past week! We won the week 12 weigh-in and were thisclose to taking the entire challenge. We actually lost a big handful of women on this last weigh-in :(

So, we started the challenge with 57 and ended the challenge today with 22.

YWeight 04-08-2008 01:58 PM

ROCK ON LADIES......I'm glad to be one of the 22....You folks are AWESOME!!! I am also happy to see that there will be a Black Team next challenge. I think I missed a week of posting, so I don't think I can request to be back on the team, but I hope I am there. I just like the concept of the Black Team, underdog kind of thing. Plus, I look good in black.

I am so happy that the weather is breaking and the sun is finally starting to show itself. I know I am babbling here, but I never thought I was that effected by the grey weather....this is a weird kind of awakening thing. Last spring I was almost 90 lbs heavier than I am now. 90 lbs ! ! That's almost two boxes of computer paper....that's 8 of my cat Jake...that's alot. And I have NO SPRING CLOTHES THAT FIT.....wooohooo !! ! ! ! !

OK, my reminder just went off about a meeting I have on another floor. I'm going to take the stairs....SEE YA ! !

happy2bme 04-08-2008 06:29 PM

:congrat: Soulbliss for being the black team's biggest loser. It was so close for the all over win - shame that you guys didn't get it but you made a great effort throughout the challenge.

Vanetta - 90 pounds down - that's fabulous! :carrot:

Dea 04-08-2008 07:48 PM

I can't believe that I forgot to weigh in!!!!!
I usually do it in the morning, but was running late, so I decided to put it off until later in the day....dumb idea!! I am a creature of habit, and I should have known better. I was on and off the computer all day, and never gave weighing in a thought! I made a purchase at Micheals in the evening, and that took most of my attention.
Sorry ladies!

Vanetta...way to go...96 pounds gone forever!

Soulbliss...congrats!!! AGAIN!!! After doing so well in the last two rounds of TBL, you must be getting close to your goal weight!

Diva... how is your hip today? Thanks for starting the new thread for everyone

thanks again black team for a great challenge...see you in a couple of weeks!

LondonJulz 04-09-2008 11:04 PM

Hey ladies! I am back at my parents house. YAY! I actually enjoy coming here. It's odd, I was SO happy to FINALLY move away from here to Oklahoma... and now, everytime we're back here I miss it so much.

Hope you are all doing okay!

Diva 04-10-2008 08:09 AM

HA! Julz, maybe that's a sign that y'all need to go back home....:)

I know when i get home, I always get that warm and fuzzy feeling but I also know that I could NEVER live there again. As much as these TN peeps pi$$ me off sometimes, Jess and I have made our home here, and I LOVE that neither one of our parents are in the same state. lol! Although I wish my Daddy lived here. He's super cool. :smoking:

 Good morning everyone! I thought I'd check in early so Vanetta doesn't worry, hehe. Jess had to take my car today because the truck is running funny so lucky me, I get to deal with the POS. I am supposed to go apply for a couple of jobs, but I'm not unless he get's home with my car early. grrrrrrr I'm not driving that damn truck anymore than I have to, and that is to carry the boy to and from school. Any way's, the one I REALLY want is the Patient Coordinator job @ a Dental office right here in town, right next to the High School and around the corner from my GYM. Cross y'all finger's because I REALLY want THAT job. The other one is for a Bank Teller. Both have great hours I am sure. :) Hopefully Jess will be home early with my car...I gotta work on the resume' today too. :)

I am still so freaking sore from exercising the last 3 days. Good Lord, I only imssed a week! Dang...

Dea 04-10-2008 02:39 PM

Diva...good luck getting the job...whichever one, because they both sound great!
London....going home falls under the "nice place to visit, wouldn't want to live there" catagory! I lived with my grandparents for a long time before university, and going home was always great...it was the "hub" of our family activity, so lots of good memories. Glad you are having a good time.
Trying hard to stay on track between challenges (not that I was very good last time around). I have started the "first place" program, so I am very conscious of what I am eating...which is a good thing, because I wasn't doing that very well.
Anyway, I need to fit into some clothes that I planned on wearing this sprin/summer, so now is the time to get very intentional about loosing this weight again.
Have a great weekend everyone!! We are off to another basketball tourny this weekend...will it ever end???

hope4me 04-10-2008 04:24 PM

Julz, I feel the same everytime I visit my mom (my dad sadly passed away 5 yrs ago). She still lives in the house I grew up in, on the land where my great-grandparents and grandparents lived. It's very sentimental for me but the town is small and I don't think I could go back to it for good.

Diva: :crossed: Good luck on the job. I'm waiting to hear about the one I want too. Yeah, unfortunately, a week is sometimes all it takes, at least for me. :dizzy:

Dea: What is the 'first place' program?

hope4me 04-10-2008 04:32 PM

Speaking of staying on track between challenges, I wish we would do a mini-challenge.

:running: Maybe we could race to the start line like we raced to the beach?
We could go a mile for every minute of exercise and whoever goes the furthest gets there first. We could challenge the former other teams to the race :s: or involve the newbies :bb: and just do individuals. What do you think ladies? :listen: (and gent?)

Dea 04-10-2008 06:06 PM

It is a faith based program that encompasses weight loss (or maintainance) by counting exchanges, which I gather is kind of like WW, a daily devotional, and weekly meetings/weigh-ins. The book that we are using is titled "life under control". 2 days down....10 more weeks to go!

Diva 04-14-2008 08:18 AM

Well, I am down .8 from last weeks WI (196.4), and I've lost 7 inches from the beginning of the challenge and gained .5 in my right calve, which is what I want, lol. My calves are not the same size from a birth defect, so if I can grow some muscle in it to get it close to the same size as the left one, I'll be a happy camper. :)

I've lost:
1.5 inches in my bust! :D
1 inch in my waist
2.5 in my hips!:)
.5 in my left arm
1.5 in my left leg

AND +.5 in the right calve. :D

I wonder why the left side is losing faster than the right??? LOL! I'm gonna be all lop sided.:dizzy:

My calves have a 1.5 difference in size, it is SO annoying. It is from riding though, my one leg is much stronger than the other from ridding a lopsided horse for many years- I can't wait until I am equal too!

ChopperChick355 04-14-2008 05:08 PM

Diva that is awesome great job, I haven't even took measurements since first week. I should do that. Hope everyone is having a GREAT MONDAY!!
