Someone posted this to Danielle on our MPMU site and I found it really something to think about. I'm not a religious person and this comes from the bible, something about it just rings very true and thought I'd share it with you.

from Matthew chapter 6:

25"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?
34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

Just a little something to think about!

Yes! This is one of my favorite quotes from the Bible. Thanks for sharing!!!!

Also thanks for sharing the pics of the hula hooping. Loved it!

Yes, I am seriously considering doing this. I really think you could do this. We have a lot of time to prepare. I am concerned about the $2200.00, but I've always wanted to volunteer in the fund raising area and this would be great training....not to mention, its a great cause.

Just sneaking in a quick entry. My daughter is leaving on a school trip to Boston tomorrow so there are still things to do. Stayed OP today and also walked for an hour after work. I find everybody's entries very motivating. Trying to keep up with all of your hard work!

Well, I'm back at the hotel... and this time, no treadmill. They gave me a WestinWorkout room, but this one has a spinning bike in it. I think it's interesting that they don't ask you for a preference. I told the reservationist originally that I was a runner, so I'm surprised to see myself in a biking room. Still, the bike is actually easier to do while using my laptop than the treadmill, and I'm getting a much more intense workout (I am very sweaty as I am typing this). I just wish there was a way to know how many miles I've gone... I am very numbers-oriented :)

Hope everyone is having a great night! I need to get back to work unfortunately. This week is going to be crazy busy...

About the fundraising. When I got all the information sent to me about the 3 day walk, they were quite adamant that it wouldn't be a problem to raise that amount. But my suggestion to you is...go to businesses, local businesses like attorneys, accountants and such. Don't just rely on individuals for sponsorship, lots of businesses are looking for write offs like charitable donations. You might even get one business to do the whole thing.

I switched running programs tonight. I just cant go for 5 minutes after already doing 3 and only a 1.5 recovery. Just not going to happen. So my choices were to redo Week 3 AGAIN! or switch and I chose to switch because I want to increase my workouts. So tonight I did 1 hour of run 1.5 and walk 3.5. It was fantastic! Good hard workout but I wasnt dying trying to breathe. And you should see how good I'm getting at hula! LOL! I can go for about 10 seconds already!

Okay time to see how many points I've done today and see if I've got room for some icecream! Oh and to fill out weigh ins too! I hope everyone has theirs in. Have a wonderful night!

I've got a serious dilemma tonight as to who to name as the Biggest Loser for our team. The top 2 rarely post, maybe once every other week. Cant say they NEVER participate but at the same time.....

Maybe my most awesome workout has got my brain tired so I'll just sleep on it and make a decision tomorrow!! I do have to say though red team...those of us participating and supporting our team are doing FANTASTIC!!! The REAL red team numbers are out of this world, we are doing so great!!!

Good evening ladies (or morning since it's 12:38am)

Sorry I've been MIA Sunday and Today but my schedule was pretty hectic and I just didn't have the time to sit at the computer...and when I had an extra few minutes, my son was on it! UGH!!!

Sunday I was able to sleep late and then took DS to his basketball game at 12:30pm. they won again! :carrot: AFter the game we went to my brothers house for a Daytona 500 party. It wasn't as dangerous as the Super Bowl party. I brought my WW empenadas and salsa and only had 3 buffalo wings. By the time the day was done I had used 13.5 of my wap's. Not too bad!

Today, I slept late again, YAY!! I love vacation! I decided to go shopping for new sneakers and some workout clothes because all of mine are baggy. Well my car broke down and I had to bring it to the garage. Luckily my mom stayed home from work so I was able to use her car and go shopping after all. I am sooo excited, everything I got was Large instead of XL and I got smaller bra's and underwear too! It felt GREAT!! AFter shopping I dropped DS off at his friends house and he slept over there. DBF and I went out to eat at Appleby's and I did well. I had sirloin and garlic mashed and a salad. I had a few of DBF's boneless buffalo wings and when I was done I was over my daily points by 2. After dinner I went to the gym for 90 minutes. I AM SOOOOOOO HAPPY TO ANNOUNCE THAT I DID IT!!! I DID DAY 1 WEEK 4 OF
C25K AND ACTUALLY RAN 3 MIN TWICE AND THEN 5 MIN TWICE. :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: I totally shocked myself and I am so proud of myself for pushing it! I didn't think I could do it and I did!!! For the whole program so far I've done all my running at 5.0 and my first 5 min I ran it at 5.0 but after my second 3 min my heart rate was pretty high so I decided to run my second 5 min at 4.5 and it helped. I was able to complete the whole 5 min and not die!!! LOL!

So it has been a good couple of days. I've been OP for 52 days in a row and feeling great!

Sorry, there are soooo many posts that I couldn't read everything. Congrats to those of you who have had losts and i'm excited to see how we did for week 5. I'll be sure to come back tomorrow and post here and on the exercise thread and vacation thread! Keep up the great work Red Team. WE ROCK!!!

Melissa: Great job keeping up with running. C25k is a pretty fast moving program and it's very hard! At least you are still running, that is the important thing, before you know it, you'll be running for 5 min too! Keep up the good work!

Congratulations, Melissa73! It feels so great when you achieve something that you previously thought was impossible, doesn't it? :)

You girls have inspired me to try C25K. One of my friends just asked me to run a half-marathon in our hometown in May. I would really like to do this. Any advice on getting started?

Sugar-N-Spice 02-19-2008 07:37 AM

Good Morning Teammies!!!

Just dropping in real quick as I head out to work. Had a real hard time getting up at 4:30 after having 4 days off in a row. I was very lazy this weekend! lol

Shopping was good yesterday! Macy's loves me I think? I got some new Calvin Klein bedding that is oh so comfy! Oh! And a new down comforter too!!! Perpaps thats why I couldn't get out of bed today! lol Had some major issues with the salesperson that rang us up, I have NEVER in all my shopping experience & especially all my years of retail job experience come across someone SO rude! And at Macys! Ugh! Definitely had a talk with someone about it and apparently this was the 3rd complaint about her that same day. Good grief!

So anyways, while I did great with shopping, my food choices were sorta if'y as the day wore on. I ended up using like 12 of my wap's but thank goodness they were there! I wish I could say exercise was an important part of my day, it wasn't. :( I know I need to kick this up to really start seeing some results. Why am I so dang afraid to workout? lol

Alright, well the clock is calling me back to reality and time to get a move on. Wishing you all successful on plan days! Make the most, and keep reaching for those goals! Be good to you!

Just find the program online and get started. The first two weeks are pretty tame and then week 3 you run for 3 min twice and then week for you run for 5 min twice. It definitely gets harder but you just have to tell yourself you can do it and DO IT!!! Good Luck! I have to look for a local 5k to do once i'm ready!

Thank you so much Laura! Yes, it really does feel good.

DAnielle: Kudos to you for even being able to get up that early. I hate mornings and 4:30am is just NOT something I could even consider, UNLESS of course I was doing something fun like a road trip to NYC Or the beach!
