We all have times like that. Letting it go for a few days is not a good idea. Tomorrow becomes the next day and Monday becomes a few weeks from now. Come pull yourself up by your boot straps. Get some house work done, that always makes me feel like I have accomplished something and get back on the trail. Melissa Hope that cough gets better. Sounds like you did great. I made stuffed peppers for dinner since everyone loves them. What is it with people around here and beef lol. We had a very nice dinner. cakes I know it can be hard sometimes but just get back on track. That weight will come right back off. You will feel better about yourself and be going in the right direction. Seems you are doing well exercising. Hope your child's name comes up soon. Tina Oh no, not you too. It really has been going around. My daughter can't seem to get rid of it. Lucky, I was a bit off color and then was ok. You try to take care of yourself and get better. I finished day 3, week 1 of the c25k. Doesn't really mean anything though since I am repeating it next week, lol! But I do feel good and for some reson thinner, even tho I know I'm not, lol! I think I must have accidently sang out loud with my ipod a couple of times cuz peeps kept looking at me, and I got TOTALLY distracted by some fine *** muscle bound dude lifting weights! I think HE got me all hot and sweaty! LOL! Matt has today and Monday off school too! THANK GOD! Four glorious, worry free days! YESSSS!!!!! jelynn- I'm sorry you are having a hard time, I can totally relate. I just came out of the week from **** so..... I hope things get better for you. Ambie...I'm sorry that the scale was not your friend this weigh in. I would suggest taking full advantage of the support system you've got here. It may not seem like it would make a difference but it really really does! Sorry TOM was so wicked! But, you've gotta know its just TOM stuff causing a gain, that its not really weight gain. Just keep fighting the good fight! You didnt let anyone down.

Things are going good. Life is good. I woke up ALIVE lol. Don't everyone scream at once lol I had a mac and beef lean cuisine for lunch. I love the things. Didn't feel like cooking, it fit into my plan. I don't do this to often now but once in a while isn't going to kill me and I wouldn't have eaten at all if I had to cook. Diva Sounds to me like there are some good reasons to go to the gym lol. |
I ate way under my cals yesterday, but way over today. However, I also did something really bad today... I ate tons of cookies/brownies because I justified it by deciding I would go on a run later to make up for it. Clearly, running does NOT make up for it - it's all still in my body! I need to not get into that mindset or I will always be eating crap and then trying to make up for it by working out. And as we all know, successful weight loss has to be BOTH diet and exercise.
One thing that was great about my Valentine's Day - I got fairly drunk off just two glasses of wine, which meant I stopped drinking after just two - meaning only about 160 calories! Much better than the days I used to drink an entire bottle or even two (no, I was not an alcoholic - just a college student! Haha). Rennie, isn't it great when things that are bad for you just aren't appealing anymore? The thought of certain foods just grosses me out, which is a big clue to me that I'm really on track to eating healthy permanently :) Mom23BC, you are doing awesome! Keep it up and you'll be running all the mailboxes soon :) Karen, I'm doing a library run tomorrow and will definitely try to pick up a copy. I'm not sure I would necessarily qualify myself as an emotional eater, but I do binge when food is in front of me, which is bad! I'll let you know once I start reading. Tina, hope you feel better soon! Diva, I sing out loud sometimes when I run. Not a lot - just a word or two is all I have the breath for - but I do sing along in my head constantly (if that makes any sense). Also, with some songs, there are certain drumbeats that I always will kind of swing my arms down for. Silly I know :) Great job with C25K - keep it up! |

Now if I could just decide I hate brownies lol I would have all my vices kicked lol. Yes the mind set of working it off really is dangerous. Working out is good for the body in many ways. It helps circulation it helps tone, it does all kinds of things. For me it does NOT help me lose weight. |

A very good day for me. DH got me a rice cooker for Valentine's day (ok, it was what I asked for - I'm trying to break the tradition of getting something unhealthy). We made the most wonderful rice pilaf today. I am thrilled to be able to make wonderful rice and have it ready when I get home from work (it has a timer). No more 90 second microwave rice for me :) I hope you all have a wonderful POP weekend! Laurie |

Sure glad you are starting to feel better. I was reading that the flu shots aren't even working this year. To many darn strains of flu going around. Counting Cool, isn't it great when they get us what we want lol. I use the 10 min rice on the stove. Never thought of a rice cooker. Does the rice taste better in a cooker than cooked on the stove? Now if I could only find a brown rice with not so many carbs lol. |

I got thrown off plan on V-day. I made cookis for the husband and I ended up eating about 8 of them plus we went out to dinner. I only had 2 small Tapas dishes, but I decided to just get what I wanted and they weren't the most diet friendly options. For some reason the bad behavior carried over into today and I think I ate to about maintenance calorie wise. I was only able to get in 30 mins of biking today but I was too sore to continue. I ordered a Gel Seat hopefully that will come soon. I'll try and make up for it for behaving extra good this weekend. |

Well I lost 2.2lbs this week for a total of 20.8. WOOHOO!!! :carrot: Melissa: I made it to the gym last night to do my last day of week 3 c25k and it was a little easier than earlier in the week when I couldn't breath. So i'm going to give week 4 a chance, if I totally can't do 5 minutes of running, I will repeat week 3 since I was sick for most of it! But i'm going to give it a try. Congrats on finishing week 1. Thanks for the compliment...i've been working hard and really working the WW program and am seeing great results..i'm really proud of myself. My mom is doing it with me and she got her 10% key chain today. I"m so proud of her. I have about 4.2lbs to go to get mine! My goal is by March 1st. I'm defnitely going to enjoy my vacation and get some extra workouts in this week! Sorry, I can't do personals right now for everybody, my son wants to use the computer and my belly wants breakfast! :D |
