I'm feeling better this am - need to get to the gym this hour though.
I feel for you Chellez! While the company I work for (my fathers) has never been audited, taxes in general SUCK. I was blown away at how much money walks right back out the door to all these various agencies. I'm behind on my 941 payroll deposits for this quarter, so that means penalties on top of the taxes.
OK, so I'm feeling almost 100% now. I hate it when I get into funks. I have so many less of them when I'm eating healthy and exercising though. Makes a HUGE difference. So...
I finally bought a HRM after my personal trainer has been bugging me to do it for a long time. I LOVE it for doing HITT!! I actually wore it for my whole 2 hour workout this morning and according to it I burned over 1100 calories. Not bad for 1 hour of cardio and 1 hour of weight training! I'm sure I owrked harder just to see the number get up into the high ranges. I don't use that *calories burned* number for anything though - like I don't eat more or less depending on that number. I do think my trainer was right though - a lot of my cardio was in the lower % ranges. So this tool is a great motivator!
No, no, please visit us more often! I am inspired by you!
Anyways, I bought the Polar F11. I've only used it 1 time so far, but I cannot see exercising without it now that I know how it will motivate me. It was almost the same feeling as having Josh, my personal trainer, with me! I have to add that the chest strap is incredibly comfortable also. I was worried about that for some reason.
OK, off to add the herbs and finish the soup for dinner. I had to LOL earlier. I had sliced up 4 carrots to add to the soup and I ran back here and got online for 15 minutes or so. When I went back into the kitchen my girls had taken the whole bowl of sliced carrots outside and eaten almost all of them. I don't have anymore. So we have like 10 slices in the huge pot of chicken soup.
He had the rep for never being on time to a meeting, and he was not on time today. 30 minutes late. Gosh darn it, my kids were such little troopers. I had Meara the Ergo, and we waited outside for 30 minutes and 45 minutes inside. They were the best. I promised we would leave at 4 (he was schedule to start at 3:30). At 3:50, Meara started the "I have to potty" mantra. Will and I had played every reading and word game I could concoct. He kept asking, how long......
We left at 3:57 and as we passed the windows, we heard WJC being announced. And then, Meara did not even potty when we got to the parking lot. I was disappointed, but I could not ask for more from my kids.
We will try to see Hillary on Thursday. That venue is a huge field house, so we will be seated, have bathrooms, etc.

I made it through on-plan day 2. Mentally, I’m feeling pretty optimistic and determined. Physically, still feeling very tired. It usually takes a good 3 to 4 days for the “pep” to come back into my body, so I’m hoping that today will be the day. Yesterday, I received an e-mail update from the Georgia Ovarian Cancer Alliance. They are having a Walk in 6 months to raise money and support research. I’m definitely going to participate. I’m also participating in the Relay for Life event here in my county in May. I really need to get on that treadmill! If I’m not up to getting on there today, tomorrow will definitely be the time. The e-mail also talked about the GOCA needing speakers for outreach events, conventions, community meetings, etc. They said they have a volunteer training program to help speakers become comfortable and prepared. I’m seriously considering volunteering as a speaker. I enjoy speaking about subjects for which I’m passionate, however, I’m not sure that I’m a particularly dynamic or persuasive speaker. The only other thing holding me back……my weight. I’d like to lose about 30-40 more pounds before I will seriously consider doing this. Being overweight like this has seriously compromised my self confidence. So, I now have yet another motivation to stay on-plan.
Chellez – Eating your Special K and packing your lunches is a great way to stay on-plan. Those fast food lunches will pack the weight on quickly. Not to mention, they just aren’t all that healthy, huh?
Nori – 1100 calories?! Wow. The HRM sounds like a great idea.
Today is a typical work day...too much to get accomplished in a too short 8 hour workday. Now, I'll go get that second cup of java and see what I can get accomplished. Hope everyone has a great on-plan day. TTYL.
That being said, I went and decided to set a new goal, which considering there are only 2 weeks left is a little ambitious for me (almost 7 more lbs UGH!)
I was just happy to see a loss on the scale this morning. I have gotten into a bad habit of not journeling lately and I have been really bad about how much exercise I am getting. I am geting back on track as of last night. I did my LCW with TBL and I plan on walking while my son is at Goalie practice tonight. Feel free to give my not working out butt a kick anytime ladies

Cool! Thanks for the info too. I really want one and I think I'll save up for it, give it to myself as a reward. I think it's awesome that your kids ate the veggies! That's a good thing!
