Hi everyone,
Leeda--I don't even know what to say about that woman in the store....

Dream & Melissa--Regarding the addiction going opposite way, I saw a special awhile back about people that had wt loss surgery. They started having different addictions like shopping, drinking, collecting things.

Diva--I eat the whole can of soup too. That's why that Progresso 0pt soup is not 0 pts for me. It's 2 pts. Sodium is ridiculous. My BF is watching his sodium intake and is amazing how sodium is in everything.

I was trying to cut down on everything I was bringing with me to work but I here's hoping I can remember my menu today. I had to bring lunch and dinner with me because I have 7:30 mtg tonight.

Today's Menu
BF--waffles, italian turkey sausage, coffe with sf flavored creamer
S--cinnamon wheat thins
L--Smart One frozen meal (it was too spicy!!) and yogurt
S--grapes
S--100 calorie chocolate
D--Frozen meal and steamed peas

WW--26+8 flex pts=34 pts

Anyone watch Dr. Phil today? It was overweight children. These parents are on there, just cant figure out why their kids are fat. And they are fat themselves! The one that just kills me is the mother of a 6 year old who weighs just under 150 lbs. The mom tells how as soon as she and her dh go to bed the girl gets up and eats, she'll find empty icecream cartons, candy wrappers, cookie packages next to her bed in the morning. And wonders how does she stop it? HELLO STOP BUYING IT!!! The other mom who refuses to believe that her 80 lb 3 year old is fat because of her lifestyle, she's looking for there to be a disease. Every single one of these parents is overweight themselves! UGH!

This is a really touchy issue with me because being overweight and having 2 girls in this society where thin is in...is scary! I worry that my girls will get the mentality of needing to diet all the time, or worrying about getting fat like me. Its why I never call it a diet, I say I'm trying to lose weight and be healthy. We talk alot about making healthy choices. Both my girls are extremely fit, my 8 year old has a six pack if you can believe that. So I dont worry so much about them being fat like me, I worry about them becoming anorexic or bulimic to avoid being fat. Its scary, all I can do is keep the communications open and make it about being fit and healthy.

Are people really this clueless? Talk about living in denial eh?

Melissa--Don't get me started on the messages sent out to young girls today. I said this in my blog I hate when those female stars are on tv looking all skinny and the reporter asks them what do you eat and what do you do for exercise? Then the star stands up there and tells an out & out lie like "Oh I'm fortunate. I was made this way". Come on, I'm 35 years old. I know better than that. The young girls may believe the stars and start wondering well why do I have to work so hard then? This may affect her self esteem. Another thing is I hate to see young girls with weight on them trying to wear the same clothes as the skinny mineys. I feel so bad for them because they look worse squeezed up in all these clothes. Oh yeah (oops I did get started didn't I??) I hate to see them call someone fat that is not fat. Like I was watching two different shows on MTV (there's the problem right there !) and on two different occasions they called two different girls fat and I was looking around like who are they talking about? Sorry...I've been on my soapbox lately. Last thing--I loved it when Britney's Spears mother comes out and says I think Britney's behavior might be my fault. You think? Didn't you raise her? Come on please take some responsibility for what type of mother and individual she has come to be.

Smart One I ate? I don't even know but I would recognize the box if I saw it. It did burn the roof of my mouth. I don't do spicy for several reasons. If something has a bit of a kick that's fine but straight out spicy no thank you.

Melissa, I actually caught Dr. Phil today, just the last 20 minutes or so. I normally don't watch him anymore, but I just happened to catch it. It was really sad. I want my little boy to learn about eating the right thing. I don't buy junk, he doesn't eat it. I am going to train his palate from a young age. I'm sure once he gets out in the world, the temptations will be there to eat junk all the time, but I can only hope that his childhood of healthy meals will be enough to usurp the occasional bad times. I Can only imagine how much worse it would be with a girl and the images in the media that they have to be exposed to.

Shay I totally agree about movie stars. It's really sickening sometimes to even look at their skinny bodies. It makes me even angrier if I become jealous of them because I know that they're not what I want to be. It's just what I've been conditioned to feel that I should look like. I know that it would freak me out if I were as thin and flabby as some of the models and acresses out there. And if I even glance at Nichole Richie (even the pregant version) I get chills.

Shhh dont tell anyone! LOL!

So on the drive home from the ortho tonight my dd (12) tells me about how her friend thinks she's fat. Apparently some dumb boy went up to this friend and said to her "youre really fat" My dd tells me that this girl already has a low self esteem and now she's going on a diet. This girl plays on my dd's basketball team and she is nowhere nears fat. And the caretaker in me wants to tell the girls mother! Just because like we talked about earlier this freaks me out! Once you start dieting you never stop! When I graduated highschool I weighed 130 lbs, and I thought if I could just lose 5 lbs I'd be perfect so I went on a "diet" and I dieted myself to 254 lbs! Now it took me 12 years and 2 kids but still! 5 little pounds started it all.

Good morning girls! Its so freakin cold out!! and the wind is blowing!!! Gonna have to talk myself into going to class today.

Roni...you call your menu embarrassing but you still did fantastic on calories, remember when it all comes down to it its calorie in vs calorie out. You still did great and you arent feeling great so dont be so hard on yourself!

Anyone remember when muse said her big arts show was?

Okay off to get some coffee and some breakfast! Then hit the tax book again...vomit!

Is it this weekend? I'm not sure. I hope she has some fun and can relax a little when it's all over.

I was just upset at the carbs & sodium intake yesterday. The calories were fine. I am wondering if I'll have a loss or a maintain week? I REFUSE to weigh myself today because I KNOW the sodium will show so nope, uh uh no way jose will I be doing that!

I am feeling somewhat better today but I am trying to not over do it because that seems to be my downfall. J is getting me some cough medicine tonight when he gets home. That seems to be whats lingering now, but it sure does hurt my throat and chest.

One of my cousin's from Savannah is coming up for a visit tonight and this weekend so I had to do a rush job on cleaning the house this moring and laundry and all that jazz. At least that's done now and I can relax. Poor dude is going through a rough time. His wife had herself a cyber affair and left him for the guy and took his kids and he's all broken up about it so maybe we can aid in keeping his mind off his troubles some this weekend. Poor dude.

Anywho, trying to keep it on the low carb side today. That guilt thing is kicking my butt. LOL!

Mel I would so LOVE to live where you do. I LOVE cold weather and snow and all that groovy stuff. Did you see GH yesterday? How cute was Jason? And Cameron, OMG, what a little cutie pie! Spoilers @ SeS are saying Skye will be leaving the show. Yanno what is about to happen to Georgie too right?

Roni, you couldnt pay me enough to move somewhere else. I used to live in Arizona and just had to come home! I love it here so much! I love the cold and snow too but mostly its the change of seasons. Arizona was the pits, nothing but sunshine day in and day out, we got to calling it ****. LOL!

I did see GH yesterday, not enough Jason if you ask me, funny how they kinda glossed over the nekked stuff! But I think I read somewhere that its in Jason's contract to not have to take off his shirt. Although, remember the scene with him and Carly in the boiler room where she got all flustered...he had a tank top on though I think. Anyway, yes I heard about Georgie, wish it was that skank Maxie instead! and I'll pray for the a Sam gets killed off storyline too LOL!
