Hey girls! I got my jogging/walking in this morning, and DD made it to preschool on time. After that my day pretty much sucked. The lady that called in the other day, sent me a text telling me she was quiting, which means I'm gonna have to work later in the evening. It doesn't work with my schedule at all. My husbands hours are strange and we can't get DD to all her activities if we both are working late. Not to mention, I probably will have to quit bowling :mad:. Anyways, I'll get over it. Now to focus on the challenge....
Way to GO on the weight loss! I'm getting nervous about my weigh in. I've been working hard and would love to have the awesome results that have been posted so far.. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK:strong: I'm also getting ready for RED WINS CHALLENGE I bought my first new veggie... Brussel Sprouts, well it's not new, I had em when I was younger, and couldn't stand them. It sounds like everyone is doing great in their efforts.Diva, if you are still reading, good luck on your continued weight loss efforts. We are here to support and, yes, to :coach: each other. It can be really hard to accept, but ultimately we are the only ones who can choose what goes into our mouths! Everyone has different challenges, and our loved ones sometimes just don't get it! Hang in there! Bridgette, just do your best and don't compare yourself with other people! That's all we can do. And remember that it's the percentage of weight loss, not just the number of pounds, that count. It took me a while to figure that out! :dizzy: I had a good day today--did my workout and intervals early this morning, and eating has been pretty excellent today, with lots of fruits and veggies. I am going to need a snack tonight because I am really hungry, but I'm not sure what it will be yet. I hope to get lots of sleep tonight. And tomorrow, my dad is coming into town for the day. I haven't seen him in months, so he might notice my weight loss! I hope so. :D |

Bridgette, wtg on the exercise today! Bummer about the lady quitting and putting you on the spot. Is there anyone to fill in so it's not all on you? I know that will make things tough for you, but I know you can do it! Don't lose sight of what's important too, YOU! :D You're way ahead of me, haven't even thought of what my "new" thing is gonna be yet! lol Diva, it's too bad you don't want the support of all these people behind you, we are all rooting for you to succeed. But, you gotta do what you gotta do, eh? Remember who's boss (YOU), and you should have no problems reaching your wedding goal. Best of luck to you. Diva - Life gets in the way sometimes just do the best you can do! I think the team was just trying to encourage you and lift you up! They didn't mean to upset you. Were all here to help each other. (edit to add: by leaving the challenge I feel your doing yourself a disfavor, but you got to do whats right for you. I understand being sensitive I'm a fairly sensitive person too but seriously I'm sure those "no excuse" comments were meant with nothing but support)
Everyone - I walked half and hour today and did my walk/jog WATP DVD... It's been a good week but since last week was such a big loss this week will be more modest, but that's okay, because both weeks count in my weigh in on Monday! As of today it looks like for both weeks it's going to be about 6 or so pounds give or take a bit. I think I pulled the top of my quads somehow doing turbo jam earlier in the week so Im cutting back to less intense exercise until it isn't so sore... hence the walking/walkingDVD. Who ever thought I'd call walk and JOG less intense!!! Hope everyone has a great weekend! Congrats on the great weigh ins thus far!! |

Bridgette...ugh, I'm so sorry to hear you've got stress added to your life. I hope there is a way to get that girls position filled quickly so you can get back to your regular schedule...I REALLY hope you dont have to give up bowling!! Try not to stress the scale numbers too much. If you've been kicking butt and doing the best you can then you are a success! Remember that you dont lose lbs and inches at the same time, so even if the scale didnt move you probably still long inches and if you ask me thats more important than the number on the scale because it actually proves you are shrinking!! Ann....EXCELLENT advice this morning!! I love connecting with people who really get this weightloss journey, such a great support!! Thank you! I'm going to start a thread this morning for the RED WINS challenge which begins tomorrow! Good luck and if you have any questions please do not hesitate! Lets see who can get the most RED WINS for the week! I had another on plan day, my problem is that I didnt really have meals, I mostly just snacked all day. Just not hungry which I'm not really complaining about, but I know how important it is to get those meals in so your body is in burn mode all day long. So this weekend my goal is to get back in that habit! I also rode my bike to class yesterday....and I did it all for you! LOL! Its funny how when I first start out I think...ugh, I dont wanna, but then I tell myself do it for the team and somehow it gets easier. So thank you!! I spent 4 hours last night clearing out and cleaning my girls' bedroom, it looks so good!! I really hope they keep it that way! Today is a day to first try to get ahead on some homework and then do a little more cleaning. Never ends does it? I hope everyone has a wonderful day today!! Keep shining Red team!!! ~melissa |

I'm doing okay. I need to step it up a notch TODAY. My biggest problem though is that damn sugar! Sugar in my morning coffee, and if I see any sort of cookie, cake, etc, I crave it. I also crave carbs. But I can do this. I just need to work through the headaches, dizziness, shakiness for a couple of days until my body is off of the sugar addiction. I will w/i tommorow but I don't expect any changes. No more excuses though. This is real. |

angela...YaY! Another no excuses girl!! you CAN do it!!! I just went through that sugar withdrawl last weekend so I feel your pain. Sugar really is the devil because you have some, then you crave more and more. Its just a matter of breaking it, and for me it had to be cold turkey. You can do it!!! I know you can!!

wow! what amazing losses! :carrot: I was happy with 2 pounds but I see that I am going to have to step it up. If I just just get past the need to sleep it would be much easier. I skipped my 5 am workout to sleep today.......but I am going to do a video at home after I get every one off to their activities and get the baby to sleep (hopefully). If I can get her to sleep for more that 2 hours maybe I would have enough energy to work out more. Keep up the great work every one!!

Way to go Kelli!!!! 2 lbs is excellent!! Dont compare, for me the loss was so big because it was Week 1 on plan! Its always big in the beginning! I pray I get 2 lbs a week! You are doing GREAT!!! Good luck on those workouts!!! I hope the little one cooperates for you!!

Babygrant, yep we're a chatty bunch! :lol: It's good to see ya this morning. Detox is never a fun thing but oh so worth it in the end! Pretty soon you'll get to feeling so good you won't want it any other way! Hang in there you know it will get better!!!
mikelli, 2 pounds is FABULOUS! :cheer: You are doing great work already woman, keep it up! Everyone loses differently so don't sell yourself short! You are also dealing with a little one, no? First priority of course, and you run an extreme close 2nd right now, but nonetheless you are doing GREAT!
