Hi Ladies,
Sorry to have been MIA, things just got a bit hectic here over the weekend. I also didn't get to post so I had to use my freebie.
Well I will have to catch up with everyone later today, but i wanted to let you all know that i am still around.
Melissa-Glad to see Fat Smash wasn't too hard for you. I was thinking of going back to detox for a while, but decided to try the Sonoma Diet 10 day induction first, then proabably back to FS. Just swithcing things up on my body a bit. Glad you're done with finals
I'll chat with you chicks later. Congrats to the losers and to our team for the week.

Love

My goodness Michelle.....I dont think your plate is gonna hold much more!! What a busy busy mom you are, and I'd have to say you are already a goddess!! Its understandable how you've not got much time for chatting! We'd love for you to jump in when you can. We'd love to be able to support you in any way we can. Congrats on an amazing week!

Love...there you are! I was a bit worried about you when we didnt get a weigh in but figured things were just busy. You've got 2 freebies so you are still good to go!

To both of you ladies...make sure you are taking time for YOU in everything you've got going on.

lovemacon 05-15-2007 03:46 PM

That Melissa always thinking of others. How is day 2/3 going for you?

When I thought about posting last night it was too late. My DH scolded me a bit, although he really has no idea what I am doing with my cyber friends.

At any rate, the weekend was good. I got some summer shopping done for the kds, and got some pictures printed to send to my family. Now I just need to get them in the mail. For Mother's Day my DH got me an MP3 player that has recording and video display capabilities. I am excited to take it out on the road the afternoon for my walk/jog. TOM came a visitin' so I am in one of those moods. Try as I must to not let that get to me, it still affects my mood. I am tired and cranky and crampy. But I am not going to let it stop me from making good choices (as I've been telling my DD).

Looks like everyone around here has been pretty busy. I am not sure how I am going to catch up with personals, but here goes:

Erika- How was your weekend without DH? I am sure you were great! Like I said earlier I am doing the 10 day Sonoma to give my body a little push, so I'll probably be picking your brain.

Danielle-How are you? As for the yogurt, I ate the lowfat flavored ones, w/o the fruit. If I wanted fruit, I just added my own. He says plain, but I just can't do that, and I still lost.

Chairity-I used to have the same shoe concern before my little ones started walking. Now I just try and make them walk when I want to wear heels. Funny how your thinking changes after kids.

AmberD-On Friday I went to the HS track and did my workout. I did the whole walk/run thing and when it was time for me to run I felt like I wasn't going to make it, yet I run much further than 1/4 of a mile when I do it in the hilly neighborhood, at least it feels like it. Hopefully I can join you and the other runners by end of summer.

Michelle-I second Melissa's comment. You are already a Goddess! Hang in there. You are doing well to even be thinking about weightloss. But I guess you feel better without the weight than with it.

To anyone I missed a great big HI and

BTW- On the exercise challenge, how are we to post our exercise. I've just been putting it in the same reply each time, but wasn't sure how we were doing it. And I met my goal last week, so I am going to get my peidcure this week sometime. And according to my DH I need it.:D
Talk to you all later, I need to go get some exercise in before my DS wakes up from his nap.

Good Afternoon everyone!! I'm about to hit the showers (yes I realize its almost 4pm! LOL) My dd has her first track meet this afternoon!! I'm having a great day today again! A lil tired, but thats detox for ya. I think I could also be eating more but I'm really not hungry and it doesnt feel right to me to eat just for the sake of eating.

So far today I've had...
Breakfast - veggie burgur patty (see previous post on why LOL), oatmeal w/ peaches
Snack - banana
Lunch - spaghetti squash with a sauce made from tomato sauce, onion, garlic and spices and I crumbled up a veggie burger into it. (too much spices so I didnt finish even half of it) so I made myself some refried beans with salsa...so good!!
Snack - banana and strawberries

I still havent toasted my chickpeas but plan to before we go so I have a crunchy snack. Not sure what to have for dinner yet but I'm thinking either some veggie chili salad or another mock taco salad like I had yesterday. And I'm in the process of making some yogurt cheese, we'll see if it turns out and is edible!

I'm really loving this plan and its only day 2!!

Love...to answer your question, I think everyone has been starting a new thread to post their minutes. What I'll do later on is go through and add them all up again to make sure your minutes are getting counted. We probably should have done it in one post so we could see everyones minutes adding up but thats not how its going. Sounds like you had a really nice Mothers day!

Okay off to the showers!! have a wonderful evening everyone!!

Hi there. I'm one of those lurkers who hasn't posted much since we started. I'm really wanting to lose weight and I get enthusiastic about challenges but it is a problem of keeping up the motivation.

Anyway tomorrow is my 39th b-day and I'm intending on splurging with a dinner out and after that I really will put my nose to the grindstone. I'd love to be the biggest loser at least one week!

707Goddess 05-15-2007 07:39 PM

THANK YOU ladies your the best
hey hun what plan are you following?
Michelle

My friends, you are awesome. I am incredibly tired and have drunk some wine (well, on Sonoma Wave 2, you are encouraged to) so I am nearly incoherent, but I am so impressed with our winning ways!!! Congrats to Michelle for her INCREDIBLE 6.4-pound loss ... what an achievement! And congrats to all of us!

Oh and Michelle - congrats on your new granddaughter! I hope she brings you great joy!

 to all of you ...
Erika
Love, I just want to say thatyou can feel free to PM me any time for Sonoma questions. I think you will love this way of eating! My biggest advice: Eat the almonds! The allotment is something like 11 a day, but I find that 5 or 6 are a filling snack for me (and then I still have another 5 left for later if I need them)! Second biggest advice: Try the Sonoma Express salads ... super easy, super filling, and so delicious!!

lovemacon 05-15-2007 09:14 PM

Ok Erika,
I know I didn't give it a fair chance, but I think I am going back to Fat Smash. It's much easier for me, but I will be incorporating some of the things I read in SD. I applaude you for sticking to it.
I don't have that much of a sweet tooth or a problem with the whole refined flour etc cuz I changed a lot of my evil ways w/FS. At any rate, I think I will be back at P1 with you Melissa.
Talk to you laer,
Love

Good Wednesday Morning Red Team!!!

Jen.... being a part of a support group is a GREAT way to keep up the motivation! Feed off your teammates, thats what we are here for!! Its hard for us to lend that helping hand to keep you going if we dont know ya...so keep up posting!! You are going to win this battle and we are her to help you do it!! We'd love to see you be the biggest loser too!!!! :bday2you: HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! :celebrate: :woo:

Michelle....wasnt sure if hun meant me or not but I'll answer! LOL!! I'm doing Fat Smash, today is day 3 for me, so far so good!!

Erika...LOL!! How are ya feeling today my friend? Sounds like you had a great night!

Love...I'd love to have some company through detox! So far so good for me, it hasnt been difficult which makes me wonder if I'm doing it wrong. I was thinking I was eating too little but yesterday I added up calories and not counting fruit and veggies I was already at 1000 so I think I'm good, if not eating too much of the beans, yogurt, rice and oatmeal calories.

:D You don't have to wait till summer to be a runner!!! You are one now! That is so AWESOME!! :bravo: :woohoo: The running bug is coming for you!

Michelle- Seriously you have ALL of that going on and you still pulled out the big win this week? You are incredible and amazing, I personally would have probably gone crazy! :dizzy: Congrats on the new granddaughter and the new house!!

Ericka - I just have to laugh!!! I for serious love me some wine and it doesn't take very much any more to make me feel loopy :) Hope you're feeling alright this moring!

 Hi! Danielle, Charity, Melissa and other Red Team Members out there lurking! Hope you're having a wonderful week :)

I've been eating everything in sight the last two days. I could blame TOM, but... I think I'm just using it as an excuse to eat what I want! :p But I've been keeping my exercise up and drinking my water, so maybe, hopefully it'll be enough to counter act. If not, that's ok. I've now caught the competitive spirit, and I think I might have to have a run at being crowned the biggest loser this coming week :queen: I'm going to give everyone a run for their money this time!:)

lovemacon 05-16-2007 10:03 AM

Melsisa, Sounds like you're doing it right. I did a five day detox and it was much easier the second time. I think becasue i had an old book and it didn't say anything about legumes and beans. After I found out I could eat them, I was good to go. I think I'll start detox next week, cuz I am going out of town in a couple of weeks. I want to drip a few more before my trip. I am shooting for 5 more pounds by the end of the month to meet my monthly goal.

Erika-How are you this morning? Sounds like a fun evening. I did two SD recipes for dinner last night and they came out pretty good. The easy balsamic chicken and some roasted veggies, which I really enjoyed. It was caluflower, green beans and brussel sprouts. Very tasty.

Well I am doing lunch with a friend so I need to get up and get some things done. I've already done my exercises for today, 30 minute walk and 8 minute Tae Bo. I'm really tired though cuz I've been up since 5:30. Talk to you chicks before bedtime.
Love

Michelle

Good Afternoon everyone!!!

Amber.....TOM is an evil being! But no excuse to throw your goals out the window! I'm thinking its going to be an interesting week seeing who will be crowned biggest loser. I might just have to come up with a prize!!!

Love....way to go on that exercise!! I hope you had a lovely lunch out with your friend. I was supposed to take my mother to lunch today but i've got a sickie home again. Saves me sticking to plan though LOL!

Michelle...I've not been exercising either and i really need to start. I can see how it would be hard to fit in around your house. Being around my younger family members makes me realize just how happy I am that my kids are older and so self reliant. I couldnt do that baby thing again! I hope your dd is feeling better!

Time for lunch! I'm having a veggie stirfry with some brown rice. For dinner I'm doing burgers but I'm armed with my veggie burger and my sweet potato fries!

I hope everyone is having a fantastic day!!!

~melissa
