Hey all!

I did well yesterday and didn't snack at ALL. :o
Today I'm also plugging away but need to get moving on my water a bit more (had about 1.5 cups so far, at least.) Just sitting here at work trying to get things done. Menu for today:

B: Kashi Go Lean cereal and skim milk
S: protein bar
L: Lean Cuisine meal, natural applesauce
S: protein bar
D: not sure yet...maybe a salad from BK or something else fast but healthy. I need to get some veggies in! :)

Well I got up the nerve to call Weight Watchers and I confessed that I didnt know if it was going to be right for me or not. They said that's ok! Go to a meeting and tell them you want to be a guest and the first one is free! I was like sweet! :carrot: So I'm going to a meeting at 5:30 this afternoon since I don't have class.

Plus I'll still be home in time for Idol!

Of course I wont get all those cool counters and gadgets til I register, but if I like it enough I may just get the monthly pass.

My fiance was bad and bought me Mc'Ds for lunch and it wasn't a salad. Looks like its double cardio workout for me tonight! I have 19 days before I have to switch to month 2 in PUSH and still 740 minutes of exercise left to do. Hope I can get it finished!

My water is sweating all over my desk (I freeze half of a huge bottle of Evian overnight then fill the rest with cold water). It's begging Drink me! Drink me!

I looked at some of the pictures my fiance took at my friend's wedding. OMG I look so big! I really need to get a move on with that toning up!

Speaking of which. Is there any exercises that you've done or heard of that gets rid of the dreaded double chin? I can't seem to find anything and i'm loathing the "family jewel" that my mother passed down to me. If theres anything I want to tone up before my wedding its my face!

Well enough gabbing. I got to get this bridal shower list done!

Kimphin 04-24-2007 01:42 PM

Chellez- have multichin too, but was able to de-chin somewhat by doing Pilates.

So far my day has gone well.

I've eaten today (so far):

2 glasses of soy milk
1 rice cake
1 banana
a hand full of carrots
slice of cantaloupe

I plan on having a veggie burger, brown rice and a side of veggies for dinner.

I did 20 minutes on the bike and 20 minutes on the treadmill at the gym. We didn't really do much in yoga class, so I'm not going to count that as a workout.

Well I went to my first WW meeting and I decided to sign up! I weighted in at 196.8 (with clothes on) so that means that my home scale is off or their scale it off. Usually when I'm at home I'm weighing in nude and it's 196.5. So I'm probably going to use their scale since I have to do it once a week anyway. Which means I'm up .3 pounds from my starting weight :( but its with clothes on.... oh bother.

So they had this part in the meeting where they do celebrations and non scale victories. Instead of always dwelling on what we've done wrong for the day, each time or every few times you post make sure to include your non scale victory. That way when you look back on them, all of those non scale victories will push you towards that celebration on the scale at your weigh in! :carrot:

I mentioned to my WW leader that I was running this challenge so I'm hoping I learn a lot of motivation tools each week to pass along in some form to you guys. Maybe she'll even get interested enough that she'll ask about our team each week! :dizzy:

So now that I'm sending myself off to bed I'm going to remind myself of my nonscale victory.

Today I made the choice to walk into Weight Watchers and let others know I need some help losing weight and I can't do this alone. I know with the support of others like me I will do this and get it right this time!

Night Ladies! I'll see you tomorrow morning!

I WI'd about a week ago but put my weight in on Sunday (I think it was?)...but it's off. Maybe it's because my TOM is here but I don't know what to do. My scale said 181. :( That's 5 lbs heavier than my origina weigh in weight. Should I change it Chell?

chellez 04-25-2007 08:24 AM

nope. once you've put in a weight you cant change it. TOM seems to put everyone a little off, but it actually looks like a nice loss next week!

Speaking of TOM, I'm feeling crampy and tired this morning. Wonder if my boss will mind me taking a nap?

I had 5 points this morning :carrot: only 20 more for the rest of the day :p

I really want to get on that scale next week and report a 5 lb loss.... that would be so great!

chellez 04-25-2007 08:35 AM

Doh! :dizzy: BabyG I just looked to see what you were talking about.

In the starting weight thread you put 178 but in the weigh in thread you put 168. So yes, if the Starting weight is incorrect you can change that. But it needs to match what you have in the starting weight thread so the weigh ins are accurate.

That's also true for anyone else. When I go to calculate the week 1 weigh in, I'll be basing your loss/gain from the starting week weigh in thread, not the starting weight you post in the Weekly Weigh In thread.

Does that help? :D

Man I binged last night I went to the dentist and made my appointment to have some teeth hauled out so I think it was nerves but I regretted it late last night.
I was up most of the night ,I felt like I was gonna puke all night so i think I got the binging out of my system and am back on track.

Today so far I have had
B~ 1 cup rice krispies, .5 cup 2% milk with .5 cup stawberries
S~ 1/3 cup french vanilla yogurt, 1/4 cup strawberries, 1/4 cup grapes with 1/4 cup of oatmeal

so far 378 cals.

I think I may have an egg with onion and cheese and a piece of toast for lunch. not too sure about dinner yet. Maybe if I post here eveyday what I eat it will help keep me accountable.

jennylou 04-25-2007 09:33 AM

I only lost one pound during the last week. Boo. It's really my own fault - convenience (albeit diet) foods, lack of exercise and lack of water. And, I'm leaving to go OOT to visit family for two weeks! I must maintain control!

Anyways, I'm so up for an exercise or water challenge. I'm horrible with water, that would be a great one to do. Once I drink it, I do, but it's getting started. :)

Tina30 04-25-2007 09:39 AM

Good morning ladies! Well so far so good with my eating! I started writing my food down again and it really does help keep me accountable! I am such a nerd though I like adding the numbers up and seeing what I have left and all that jazz. I really love math even though it doesn't come easy to me I love sitting and working the problem until it is correct and if you think about it weight loss has almost everything to do with math! TOM is also in town over here so I usually weigh-in on Friday but this week I think I am going to hold off until Sunday morning! I know if I weigh-in Friday it will show a gain or no loss and it really does kill my moral to see that. I have been really trying not to peek at the scale during the week and just stick to once a week weigh-in. I seem to get so obsessed with the number and it really does mess with my head! Exercise has been good. Monday I did arms and cardio, yesterday was all cardio and today will be legs and cardio. I am going to aim for 5-6 days a week of exercise and it shouldn't be hard since I really do enjoy it and the weather is getting nice it's the dang eating that always does me in. I have put myself in a sort of detox though for a few weeks. I usually have a cheat day but until May 6th which is my anniversary I am not cheating at all and by then hopefully I will see some good results and want to do good even on my "cheat" day! Well it is rain rain rain here today so the kids and I are stuck in which isn't so bad! I just started a new book and I have laundry and a house to pick up so I have plenty to do indoors! Have a wonderful day ladies!

Tina30 04-25-2007 09:49 AM

Chellez...I was just looking at the weight loss thread and week one ends the 28th....if I weigh-in Sunday is that still good? I thought we had until Monday evening but I just wanted to check with you.

Catsgetnhealthy 04-25-2007 10:21 AM

 Morning ladies~
I did my Prevention's Walking yourself slim tape this morning. I like it as it has 3 levels to do, I'm still on level 1 but do throw in a couple of level 2 moves. I can't wait to get to level 3!! Just a fyi you can get workout tapes for $1 at The Dollar General store. I got that one and a couple of 10 minute solution tapes and some Denise Austin tapes. I also get workout dvds/tapes from the library. The variety helps. I'm really proud of myself for staying on track with exercising since I started WW. I workout 6 days a week anywhere from 30 minutes to 75 minutes. Sometimes I break it up in 2 15min workouts.

Chellez~ :congrat: on taking that step and signing up with WW. I have no doubt it will work well for you. :D

Tina ~ it's raining here too this morning. I planned on doing my side and back gardens today. I have somethings to plant and was anxious to get 'er done. But I'll be doing like you, laundry and house stuff so I can work on my cross stitch this afternoon.

Well I better get going. Ya'll have a fantabulous day!! :yay:
I'll check in later.

chellez 04-25-2007 10:27 AM

I was reading through the thread and I'm getting so depressed! :(

We all have such a hard time with losing weight but I'm seeing a lot of beating up on yourselves and not enough positive. I think my cheerleaders can agree!

We need "uppers" not "downers"!

I'd like to see everyone counteract those negatives with positives. So if you post about something like binging or cheating, make sure you let us know something positive you did as well. Don't forget about mentioning those nonscale victories. I'm almost certain they're gonna help us!

My nonscale victory of the morning: I took time out of my busy work morning to plan out my meals for the week so I can buy healthy groceries instead of bad ones. :carrot:

Tina - the dates listed beside the week are just the actual weeks. It's ok to weigh in Sunday or even the Monday morning after. Just as long as its in by Monday at 10 pm EST :D

Jennylou - a pound is still a great start! My question about your trip... are you going to be away from a computer so that you can't weigh in for two weeks? I'll need to know so that I know to use your "freebie weeks" while you're gone. You can just pm me to let me know as soon as you can.

Anyone else want to have a little chat? I'll be online for about another hour ;)

Tina30 04-25-2007 10:35 AM

I agree with Chellez we are all going to have slips and I think shes right the key is to get back up and focus on a positive instead of lingering on a negative. I find if I beat myself up it starts a really vicious cycle and its very hard to break so lets turn our negative into positive and not let the negative define us! We can all do this and we will all slip a time or two but the key is to get up and move on!
