I was doing modified IP and lost about 40 lbs that way over 2012-2013. By modified I mean I didn't buy any of their foods but rather just researched what the ratios were supposed to be for carb/fat/protein and tried to stick to those as best as possible. I just found it way too restrictive and low carb diets are restrictive anyway, so I've been going on and off Atkins WOE for the past few months. It just makes me feel better to not get bogged down in tracking every minute detail of my eating. The one thing I will say were IP WOE was stellar was focusing on veggies big time. Too much of the time on Atkins, people can just sort of forget about trying to squeeze in a good amount of veggies per day.
I probably don't even do Atkins the way I should, but that's because I did Atkins back in 2001/2002 and lost 55 lbs back then and I still remember basically what dinners worked for keeping on plan. So I don't track myself, I just stick to lots of protein, throw in a few cups a day of low carb veggies (or at least try), stay away from loads of sugar alcohols, and not worry too hard about fat.
