I have been a bit absent the past 2 days. And being absent has meant being bad......we went out for supper for our 32nd anniversary yesterday. I had a baked potato, omg, it was sooooo good....and up a pound today. That will come off tho.

I am also finding it hard to get in my liquids. I found out Tuesday I have an abscess tooth and I go for a root canal next Wednesday. I am on antibiotics right now. I can eat on my right side, but it is tough to keep the water on the right side. And room temperature does that same hurt on my tooth.

I will weigh everyday and report that now! And get back to my tracking!!!

Ok, have a good rest of the week. Keep on going!!!!!!!!

frannie - don't forget you will also weigh more when your body is healing or fighting off a sickness like a cold or infection. You may see the scale dance around a bit until you are healed from the root canal.

Ok, off to bed for me!

Just checking in....doctor yesterday...prednisone is getting lowered!! Yeah and maybe by next appointment he will decide to completely eliminate it!! It's been a long time!!

Sue - I'm getting one of those tests to tell about the big or small particles for cholesterol that was in the movie link you provided....Cereal Killers?? I think it is called. Getting a fasting blood sugar and other stuff too probably on Tuesday because I have to be fasting. Wondering how it is going to turn out!!

Maintaining which is ok because apparently I haven't gotten serious about the last 9 pounds yet....not sure why I am standing in my own way!!!

Best wishes for an on-plan day!!

HOORAY LULU! I am so glad that the Prednisone is being lowered! Flush goes some of the water retention I bet! and even better.. Less chemicals in your body (Just my opinion!) I can't wait til you get your results of that particle test! I wish I had insurance as I would get a blood test and test that too! (I can't afford the increased cost of AHC - double what my old plan was and works out to be a 1/3 of my gross salary and I would rather pay my mtg to live in a house)

I hope you have a terrific weekend Lulu! I miss your posts.. Did you make your Faux Potato salad last week?

Fleur - Great weigh in! The 170s are so close!!

Frannie - Sorry about your tooth. I hope everything goes smoothly with the root canal. Have you tried using a straw to drink your liquids? That might keep the water away from the problem area.

Sue - Happy Friday to you too!

Lulu - That is great about the reduction in medication. Good job on maintaining too...some times we forget that can be even more important than losing! Otherwise we will all end up back here again!

No change for me today. You'd think I'd see something after chopping off a good 3 inches of my hair! lol

Sw: 237.4
Gw: 225.0

7/7 - 237.2 (0.2 lost, 12.2 to go)
7/8 - 237.2 (0.2 lost, 12.2 to go)
7/9 - 236.0 (1.4 lost, 11.0 to go)
7/10 - 235.6 (1.8 lost, 10.6 to go)
7/11 - 235.6 (1.8 lost, 10.6 to go)

7/08 - 227.0
7/09 - 226.4
7/10 - 227.2
7/11 - 225.5 - Hooray! another pound and I will be closer to the teens than the 30s

Monte Cristo - I know my scale has a memory function, it will read the same number as the day before if there is less than a pound difference. What I will do is step on it holding something to clear out the memory then step back on it and then it will show smaller increments lost. Or I step on it at night after dinner when I know I will weigh more than the morning weight then it is clear for the next day.

Happy Saturday!! Ate on plan but did not walk yesterday but I have a plan to get out today!!

Today we are going to BBQ hamburgers and hot dogs!! I love my dinner of a bun less cheeseburger and coleslaw. Making my go to salad for lunch today too of lettuce, tomato, two slices deli turkey, shredded cheese, almonds and dressing!! Not sure about everyone else but I pretty much need to have a plan everyday or I could really derail myself!!

Sue I did make the fauxtato salad over the 4th...I love that dish too...I pretty much love everything and that's why I was where I was! HA! Glad to eat this way because I can still eat a lot!

Not sure if you remember that my husband was quite vocal about my weight loss as in he didn't like it...we'll all that nonsense has stopped...a few weeks ago he said something like.."you have worked so hard..." Well that stopped me in my tracks!! I really think he was worried about how my weight loss would redefine our relationship...news flash....we are still the same people...I'm just "weight-reduced" now!

I've tracked my meals and exercise in myfitnesspal for 261 days in a row!! It really helps me to stay on track...maintain where I am!!

NSV: My daughter turned 16 on Sunday...we went shopping with my mom..and I got clothes at Banana Republic and Van Huesen...me!! Always when we went to the outlets I could only shop at Dress Barn....it is still amazing to me!

I encourage everyone to keep going!!! Best wishes for an on-plan day!!

Just a quick post; personals later.

Been semi OP, lots of baseball going on and that usually means eating out. Scale hovers between 137 and 139, no losses, but I have not been really trying for a few days, too busy. Come Monday I will be back OP.

I was really tired last night, but dragged myself to aerobics class. I am glad I did. After sitting at the filed all day, I needed some movement.

Do I have to declare a weight loss number to join the challenge? I'm only 3 weeks into this and really don't know what # to shoot for for Labor Day.

Thursday and Friday I was away at my daughter's college orientation. It was pretty hard to keep 100% on plan. I stared off with no carbs to speak of, but with all the walking, started to feel woozy (faint) and had to get an OJ to get my blood sugar back up a little. The dining hall had lots of choices, but I didn't have a lot of control over what sauces were on the meats, what was in the soup, etc. I did my best and on Sat. morning, was up 2 pounds - ugh!!!!

So I'm back on plan today - yea. Hoping the 2 pounds is gone by Monday.
