I rebounded quite nicely from the traveling debacle last week. I have more travel this week before I head home for the holidays, but I am prepared!

Lori, I can't say that I am a fan of boiled eggs, but I do heart pepperoni sticks! I love finding products that are special made for Low Carbers, like Hormel's Pepperoni and Cheese Stick combos. The only problem is the cheese in not good! I ended up getting Sargento Cheese Sticks and a big summer sausage that I've cut into serving sizes.

After seeing a tiny number on the scale yesterday morning, I was pumped to go grocery shopping and cook! I've stocked up on veggie steamers and they are a great price at Walmart. I even tried my hand at ribs. (Tasty, but I will need to remove the fat and skin next time

Also, I started daydreaming about working out again. Which means that it's time to hit the gym! Hope you are doing well!

Hey friends! I'm new to this whole posting thing on this website.. but I'm starting atkins again so that I can be "healthier" for my trip in late January. I'm 263 right now and I'd love to be about 230-220ish range by at least January. I'm hoping I can do it! Anyways- I loved to join your weekly countdown and support each other!

Get some of the snack size ziplocks and cut the summer sausage into serving size pieces then cut it up into bite size and put it in a small ziplock - keep them and string cheese in a cooler next to you with water so you can just grab and eat. Maybe make a salad and put in a bag or container in the cooler and put some dressing you like in there too so if you stop you can have that (they have wonderful looking salad containers that have a spot for the dressing on the top so you can even have that measured out --- I've wanted those for ages) - you could even grab a burger or cheeseburger at mcdonalds and plop it on top of the salad without the buns and have that as a meal. Oh a snack size ziplock with a serving of almonds would be good too to just grab if hunger hits.

If you are stuck -- the grilled chicken Ceaser salad at McDonald's isn't bad carb wise just don't use the croutons - and is pretty tasty too - that is my fall back choice if I'm on the road with nothing - especially if I am with people ordering burgers who wouldn't get why I get a salad and top it with the burger minus the bun....

Oh I'm a bit obsessive about things and I would mark each bag with carb counts so I can keep track at the end of the day - lol

Ohmigoodness! My sincerest apologies! I haven't had access to 3FC for a week! I need to start at the beginning because I was driving from Albany to Detroit on weigh-in day last week!

First, I gained weight. On the 21st, I came in at 306. This was a bit of a blow, but I knew that it was going to happen since I weigh pretty much every day. The issue was poor snacking and travel. I realized that I wasn't focused on veggies and healthy snacks. When I wanted something, I had pudding or yogurt... not good.

Second, I decided to have lots of veggies and only slim jims and cheese sticks, but no more than 2 of each per day! I did smashingly! I even got through Thanksgiving!
...The problem was that I was super stressed. I already took home the work stress, but my family totally stresses me out. So 3 hours after Thanksgiving dinner (while discussing the negative family dynamics) I gave in and had cake and pie... I was sad that I let myself down, but IT WASN'T EVEN THAT GOOD!!!

I'd like to say that that was the end, but I continued to be off track all the way up until now. Yep, just ate some pizza. Tomorrow, I will have it together again. I'm back in Albany, my safe place. I've got a fridge full of meats, veggie snacks and broccoli salad. I am committed to make this work! At least until Xmas!

My grand plan didn't work either and I am up 5 pounds. Let's just start today and be back on track!

Just remember you don't fail unless you give up completely - if you shake yourself off and start again you are a winner! And winners become losers hehehehe

Right on, RHO!

I got back on track Friday but had a field day before that eating off program but still no sugar desserts. I haven't had any sugar desserts since June 2010. That's a personal best for me.
