Hello everyone, i'm new at Atkins as well...just started today. So here goes....hope to melt away!! I'm very lucky that my husband is following as well, so should make it easier.

Hi everyone!
I just started Atkins yesterday! I'm hoping to drop some serious weight and this plan comes recommended by my sis who admits that while she sometimes doesn't like it (I'm not sure why) she does it because it works--that's good enough for me! Here's hoping we all make our weight loss goals for 2011!!

I think everyone occasionally gets burnt out on their plan and that's what your sister meant. Sometimes I wish I could eat oatmeal, apples, and other stuff like that, but then I remember that I can have all of those things in moderation during Maintenance.

The key to staying on a plan is to find foods and recipes that you enjoy. http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/recipes.html has great recipes that everyone on this board loves. Recipes marked with * are safe to eat on Induction.

Me Too: My motivation for losing weight was also a guy (and still partially is). However, even if we were to stop talking, I would keep losing weight because it's become mostly for me. I'm sure you'll start to feel the same way.
