YAY Rainbow!!!!!!!!!

My son is doing okay. He has a genetic disorder which is causing some interesting gestro intestinal issues. I am learning so much information about the digestive system. For now, no surgery, trying some new things with meds first. Thank you all for asking!!! It means a lot.

Hungry day today and getting back into a routine after minimal sleep has made the day a challenge. I was so excited this morning!!! I stopped at Safeway to pick up some veggies for my lunch and they had precut jicama sticks!!!!

Love the 100% thread, thanks Lisa!

I had a great day today despite being thrown a TON of temptation and roadblocks. The one thing I did bad was didn't have breakfast, which is terrible I know. I was at the hospital with my Dad and instead of making a poor choice I rushed home and ate some extra veggies for lunch.

Here's to another 100% day tomorrow.

That is AWESOME, Rainbow! You are rockin' it!

Ishbel - I need to pick up more potassium too. I have not found a good substitute, and I tend to get leg cramps on phase 1 if I don't take it - sometimes, I even have to take 2 for a few days. If anyone knows a good substitute, let me know. Otherwise, off to the clinic next week...

Another 100% day - 3 down, many more to go...

i can't tell you all how good it is to see you all here...friends from before and new friends...
it is very comforting, like an encouraging hug

i am so glad the new year came and i came back with it!
week one has come and gone and i am feeling excited!

one thing i did all week, i stayed away from a scale...
and i just kept saying,

just do what you know you need to do and the scale will take care of itself!

Ditto this!!! I feel so happy seeing old friends who KNOW what I am going through and are 100% supportive! Rainbow, I am also NOT peeking at the scale. I want to see that surprise every week and have faith in myself and the program.

IP changed the Potassium formulation when I was still using IP products

It is 99 mg of Potassium Citrate. I buy mine at Vitacost.com

Ishbel - The bottle says 800 mg potassium bicarbonate and 200 mg calcium carbonate. Let us know if you find something close!

A very good friend of mine directed me to natural factors potassium citrate but she wasn't sure it was the right amount...apparently she's smarter then she thinks. It was 5.99 for the bottle! That's also cdn and at a cdn health food store (nutters). Thanks Lisa!

i read this before:

the FDA made Ideal Protein clinics in the US stop using the original formula of Potassium Calcium (800 mg of potassium in potassium bicarbonate form plus 200 mg of calcium in calcium carbonate form.) The FDA said that these were prescription level doses. The new potassium supplement is 99 mg of potassium citrate. Dose is one per day.
