Cool August Targets

I know there's lots of this sort of thread in the 'Chicks up for a Challenge' forum, but there's just so many people in that one i think it's nice to have one just for us 40's-somethings.

Ok, so what are your targets for August.
Post them here then update us with how you're going.

Love2b150 - you put me up to starting this thread, but maybe you should be doing it instead as you're better at achieving your targets than me!!

Ok, i'm working away from home every day during August and doing a fair bit of coming and going and goodness knows what, so not sure how much exercise time i'll have.

That's my excuses.

My targets therefore are modest.....

1) Weights exercises 3x per week (even if it's just pushups, lunges etc in my room)
2) Running or cardio 3x per week (minimum of 90min total per week)
3) Not gain weight!

I am new to 3FC and to the BFC diet I am on. I weighed in for the first time today after my first full week on the diet and I lost a whopping 11 pounds. I couldn't believe it.

My targets are :
1) lose at least 2 pounds each week
2) be at 215 by end of the month
3) not gain weight while in Disney World
4) exercise at least 3/4 times a week (walking then gradually begin running)

Ange thank you for the thread and I didn't meet my targets

neabonz

My targets for August ...

~get down to 175-170 (honestly I want to get out of the 170's)
~walk 3 miles daily or do some type of exercise for a hour daily (even if I have to break it up)
~stay within my calorie limit (no binging)
~NOT go crazy during any STALL (this is an issue for me)
~push towards being totally comfortable in a 12

Hi everybody, I always pick too many goals to do at once, so August I just want to lose 10 pounds. So if I make this goal I will be in the 170's!

My goals for August are;
1) continue on with P90X-cardio 5 times per week, ST 3 times
2) lose 5 lbs
3) keep active during the day
4) I am doing the South Beach diet. I have 1 more week on Phase 1, then moving on to P 1.5

My goals:

1) increase the length/intensity of my workouts
2) looking for a whoosh of at least 2lbs by the end of the month.
3) keep eating better - stay away from fast food, takeout and delivery!

Thanks, Ange for making this thread.

I seriously need some accountability. After yet another binge filled weekend, I weigh 136.5. That is what I weighed in the beginning of May. I have been undoing my hard work for too long.

This month, I'm doing a restart with exercise and eating. And go back to what I was doing in the Spring. Here are my goals:

-Get back to 127 pounds
-Daily exercise
-Clean eating plan (resembles primal)
-Write down eating/exercise

I don't really need to lose 10 pounds- it's more like 6 pounds of fat + 4 pounds of water so I think it's doable to do it in August.

I'll keep posting in the thread to keep me on track.

Since I will be on vacation for 10 days in August, I have a modest weight loss goal for the month. I currently weigh ~137, and will aim for just 2 pounds less by the end of August.

My exercise goal remains to be able to do 1 single unassisted pull-up. This seems surprisingly unattainable (I worked on it all last month, and am only slightly closer). I will also continue to exercise at least 3 days per week (even on vacation), and aim for 5 days on weeks that I'm not on vacation.

Being that I am just re-starting my program, my goals are pretty basic.

1) Eat 1200-1600 calories per day
2) Exercise 3-5 times per week (Walking, Wii Fit, Weights, Whatever)

I just want to establish a routine.

Good Morning ALL, just stopping in to say hi

Nothing much going on, TOM is still here I am very irregular so I am hoping I only have 2 more days and not 4. My bloat has gone down, and quickly I might add. I weighed 178.4 on 8/1, 179.4 on 8/2 and this morning 178.0, so I'm happy. I signed onto this site fatsecret.com. I really like it. It's also free on my BB so that's a plus. I added an exercise site and a weight tracker to my BB so I am finally able to track my distance, time, and calories, weight and some other stuff. I'm having fun now with my new gadgets on my old BB . Well I hope all of you are doing well. Have a wonderful day.

I'm so excited to post this! I've been looking for someone to share my little mini-goal and expected "prize" with!

--Be three pounds lighter at the end of the month. That will take me down to 15 gone so far.

When that happens I'm going to treat myself to a spray tanning session. Then challenge myself to reveal my slightly smaller and beautifully colored tummy and belly dance in public without a belly cover! Been performing for two years and never once have I had the guts (no pun intended) to be uncovered. I'm just about the only one in my group that consistently wears a belly cover, and I'm getting tired of it!
