Angry THAT time of the month..

Grr! Frustration central. Does THAT time of the month really affect the number on the scale THAT much?

Before it all began I was showing as 216, the first day I was 222, after that 218, the next 218.5 and today 219.. Am I gaining or is this normal? It's INCREDIBLY frustrating!

I find the same thing around my TOM. I tend to bloat a lot, plus I munch a lot of salty foods, which makes me retain water. It sucks, but I've always told myself it's just part of "the joys of being a woman" (sense my sarcasm?).

You tend to retain water around that time of the month, for me it starts a week before. I won't lose any weight that week, then gain some pounds during my period, and by the end lose all of the weight I gained and then some if I stayed on plan.

Trust me, it's not like you can magically sprout 6 pounds of fat in like 3 days. It's just water.

I just don't bother weighing for the week before and of my TOM. I realized that I was gaining about 7lbs during those two weeks that would magically disappear afterwards. I would bet it's water retention, like the others have said. So either skip the scale til its gone, or try to keep it in mind and don't beat yourself up over it.
