Default W I D E ads

For the last several days, I get wide ads on the right side of the screen, scrunching the forums on the left side. It doesn't happen every time, but frequently enough that I thought I'd throw a post up to see if others are having similar issues. Maybe, collectively, we can figure out what's going on.

I use Google Chrome as my browser.

I'm having the same issue: wide banners that should normally be used in the upper or lower portions of the page sometimes are appearing on the right side, squishing the content of the forum.

I encounter that about once a day...not sure how often you're seeing it. Haven't got a clue what I use, since my computer is my business computer and my IT group worries about that sort of stuff!

What seems to be disrupting my viewing pleasure is:
Follow us on Twitter
Find 3FC on Facebook

That's in the way -- no banner ads, just that.

I just had it happen again. The culprit was "Ads by Google" with three little ads all lined up horizontally, making it as wide as a banner ad.

Ha! And, just now, I got a banner-sized ad on the right for a Chromebook. Most likely because I mentioned Chrome earlier!

If you don't have it already, look into getting Adblock. It will probably get rid of your problem.

I'm having the same issue with both IE and Chrome. Doesn't really seem to be ad specific as I am seeing the same type of ads that I usually see here.

Looks like this

LOL Well, this answers my question, "How does this forum support is self??"

I think I did install adblock as an add-on when I first got this computer and downloaded Chrome.

At anyrate, I never see ads on most sites. Thanks for letting me know it is working.

I'll report this ad issue to our tech department.

FYI, adblock is actually not kosher here. It is against the terms of use and may interfere with site functionality. Ads are indeed how this site continues to be free to use
