Virginia-Good to see you also! Things are definitely improving now. Hope things are going well for you also. What'd up?
ajandpj-I like Harry Potter too! My kids got me into it, and they benefit as well...I buy them each new book as it comes out, partly so I can read it!! I've been thinking I should go back to the beginning and read them again; can't remember everything any more!!
hannah-phi-Sorry to hear about the earache. What a PAIN! It is great, though, that you are enjoying exercise so much! I need to START doing it!! It is really strange that sweat caused the problem, never heard of THAT before!! (I always sweat a lot ANYWAY, and I am starting to have hot flashes... but mostly the back of my head rather than the sides.)
Sorry to hear about your troubles but I am glad that things are getting bette - sending you and your DH some healing vibes
Well my big news is that I went to Philadelphia last weekend and met up with some of the other mods Jennifer of 3fc admin fame
What a blast! I met such wonderful and amazing women that weekend. It was great to hear all their stories and hang out with them. I came away energized and inspired.
Mauvais
Sounds like you had a great weekend ! Good for you.
I have no idea how much I have lost but I do know that I am losing. I went to Frenchy"s (second hand clothing store for those of you not familiar) an was trying things on and they were too big. Love that feeling! Did manage to fing a really nice hip length black denim jacket that everyone tells me I look great in, got my hair cut yesterday, and that make me feel great and found a nice black low cut top which shows of my cleavage nicely, ha ha! So all -in- all had a good day yesterday. Still on plan and drinking lots of water, not even the slightest bit hungry. Feeling pretty darn good about myself right now.
Den I am so glad you are back with us! Take care everyone and have a great weekend.
Virginia
Mauvais, the trip sounds like it was a blast. It is great that it was so energizing!
Virginia, sounds like you are ALSO having a great time! Sounds like you are doing great with your program, and started to get some fun benefits out of it.
I am going to the Rennaisance Festival with family and friends tomorrow; should be fun!!
I overindulged quite a bit too much last night at a "progressive party." Something about moving from house to house really made it easy to lose track of how much of what I drank. I didn't get quite as drunk as some of my friends (especially not the guy who climbed up on his roof and got naked), but I had to stay a lot later than I intended so I could sober up. It was fun, but I'm glad I don't do that very often.
Den - Welcome Back! I missed you. Maybe we can give each other a kick in the butt! I hope you have fun at the fair.
Hannah - I hope you are feeling good today!
Welcome Back Virginia! I missed you sneaking back in.
ajandpj - I saw the trailer for the new Harry Potter movie yesterday. It looks interesting. I have only seen the movies, not read the books.
Mauvais - It sounds like a wonderful trip! Glad you had fun!
I have been so busy the last few days. I didn't even get the chance to read let alone post. My nephew spent the night Friday night. We had a blast. We saw "Corpse Bride". It is a fun movie.
It was the start of preparing for the fall and winter season for me. I painted the front hall entrance on Saturday and srubbed the tile floors. Now I just have to pick up a new coat rack and a couple of small paintings to finish decorating.
Sunday I went to the gardening centre and picked up some bulbs (snowdrops and bluebells) for fall planting. I also picked up a few Halloween' items to decorate the front porch with - can't wait for October!
I bought a very realistic black crow and when my mom picked up the bag it was in she jumped about a foot in the air - she thought it was a dead bird! I guess it was kind of mean of me to laugh but I couldn't help it
Mauvais
That is funny! Wow, it must really look real, but why did she think you would have a real dead bird in your home?? I love the fall, except for the fact it is followed by winter. Oh well, when you live in a place where there are definite seasons I guess it is to be expected. Hope everyone is doing well. I just got weighed today, second wekk into the diet and I have lost 9 lbs. i am so excited. Down to 241 from 250 and have lost 4 inches from my waist. Happy days! I can get into a pair of pants that I have not been able to fit into since two years ago. Whooooo hoo!
Hugs and good vibes to everyone not feeling well or stuck on a plateau, keep the faith! You can do it.
HugsVirginia
I had a lovely long weekend at NW Fall Equinox Festival. The weather was beautiful, if cooooooooold at night. I'm still amazed at how much longer I can dance these days. It's so wonderful when the body can keep up with the spirit, at least for a while.
Tani - where is the NW Fall Equinox? I always wanted to go to the festivals up here but never seem to hear about them until afterward. Seems like most of them are more in the Washington than the Oregon area, but still not too far away.
Had a BLAST at the Rennaisance Festival! We went with our 15 year old son, and another couple. The other woman and I had our DHs arrested, and they had to do "I'm a Little Teapot" among other things (onstage) before they could be freed. They are now threatening revenge...but I think they enjoyed it as much as we did. DS was STUNNED, and kept at me ("How could you do that to Dad?!?) until I threatened to have HIM arrested; THAT stopped him cold!!!
Sounds like the rest of you had good weekends also. Mauvais-I would have laughed too!!
Lizziness: NWFEF is put on by Nine Houses of Gaia and is east of Salem. My friends and I also do Sunfest, Summerstar and sometimes Spring Mysteries. Spring Mysteries is up my way in Washington and the other two are right around the WA/OR border area.
There are also two big competing Beltane festivals that we haven't made it to yet.
Check out the websites for Open Ways and Widdershins for a heads up on a lot of local groups and festivals. (If you google them, the correct links come right up) You can also check out the NWpaganfestivals tribe on tribe net (www.tribe.net)
