Very Bad Things...was that the one with Christian Slater where he and his friends go to Las Vegas for a bachelor party weekend and end up with a dead hooker in their hotel bathroom? We rented that and it was boring/bloody awful - I got halfway through and couldn't stand it anymore - went off to wash the dishes and left hubby to watch the rest of it by himself

Yup. That's it. The same "what do you do with the dead body? then everyone goes a little nuts" thing. It was just awful. I watched the whole thing in the hopes it would get better...

Yes, I had hoped it would get better but it went from bad to worse - I rarely give up on a film but it was just too bad to watch.

Aw, I really liked Very Bad things. I thought the same thing, that Shallow Grave was on the same level, but better. I think I just liked the people that were in Very Bad things so much that it made up for the plots crappiness.

The hubby took the daughter and I out last night to see "Spongebob Squarepants" movie. I thought it was cute!! He said it was "ok", but nothing like the cartoon on TV. I've never seen the cartoon so I wouldn't know any different.

We just watched "Mean Girls" on DVD. It's OK. I'll probably hawk it on EbaY if the kid let's me.

Noodles, I love Spongebob. He's so cute! The other day I saw a joy-stick for the computer ... it was Spongebob's face, and his nose was the joy-stick.

We watched a good anime "Patlabor 3" I didn't see the first two, but this one was very good. The story was interesting, but mostly it was good because the artwork was just amazing. Completely amazing detail, one of the best I've seen in quite a while.

I saw "sideways" this past weekend and throught it was really excellent. The acting is amazing and it has very sharp dialogue. I was one of the people who thought that Paul Giamatti should have been at least nominated for an Oscar for his performance in "American Splendor" so it was good to see that he is getting the kind of critical praise that he deserves.

This next weekend we are going to go see "Finding Neverland" I think. Has anyone seen it yet?

I'd love to see that, Finding Neverland. Also on my list is the second Bridget Jone's. I loved the first one, which is weird cause I usually don't like those types of movies, but I really liked this one.

There are a lot of good movies coming out this winter, I can't wait to see some of them... though usually we just wait til they come out on DVD. *L* Lazy people with no car don't often go to the movies.

We had mom over for dinner last night, and watched Big Business. I've seen it a million times, but I still love it.

Default The Incredibles

We saw The Incredibles tonight and I was really impressed. Once again I think the best film of the year is an animated feature, but I'm prejudiced -- cuz my hub is an animator! I haven't seen a better film yet this year but there's some I haven't seen yet.

My other favorite so far is The Motorcycle Diaries.

If anybody wants to rent a really good movie, this one got the title for Best Movie Nobody Saw: The Station Agent. My fave movie last year!
