I didn't eat any treats over Easter, but my weightloss has still slowed to a crawl, which doesn't surprise me because I've doubled my workouts. More muscle. I'm getting hard as a rock but I've still got about 15 - 20 pounds of flab on top, especially around the abdomen. It's soooooooo much easier for me to build muscle than it is to lose fat.
And while it's true more muscle does burn more calories, I find it's not enough to really rip me down. I'm starting to get tempted to the low-carb thing, but I've always had trouble with that in the past-- it doesn't seem to give me enough energy for hard workouts every day. And I don't want to just lower calories, (I'm at about 1400 - 1600 now) that's really hard on my body. So I guess what I'm saying is, I'm not quite sure how to proceed. Stay the course, which has worked for the last 50+ pounds, or try something new?
