Yes, Ellis, it was so gorgeous out today! Felt like spring but I am not packing up my winter clothes just yet
We went to see House of 1000 Corpses (at the one and only theatre that it is showing at )...definetely not for the sqeamish...It was good if you are a fan of horror movies like Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Hills Have Eyes, etc. etc.
I totally agree with you Amyjo! The movie did not make any sense at all but it will probably be a cult movie hit
BTW Dr. Satan eventually shows up in the movie later on.
Yup, gorgeous weather. As to winter clothes, I have an empty storage bin ready. As I wash them, in they go. I hope the warm weather gets here before I use up all my winter stuff!
Hey, Canadians. Has anyone still not filed their tax return? Am I the only tary one? I think I owe this year as I won't have a rental loss (alas!) and have really been stalling on the damned things! I will take a stab at Harry's this morning but am going to garden this afternoon even if they are not done.
Oh gawd, Ruthie. Everytime I read your journal I think, "geez, I have GOT to do my taxes!" curses.
What's the date... oh crap... 28th. Maybe tomorrow. Maybe if I spread them out on the dining table today...
We are doing our taxes tonight - at the last minute, as usual! So we all have lots of company...
The weather is great - DH and DDs are doing lots of gardening, and I am watching from the veranda with my cold drink, occasionally saying something encouraging, like don't you dare track any dirt into the kitchen! (to no avail, I might add). They are old enough to be genuinely helpful, which is great after all the years of thanking them profusely for doing something and then quietly redoing it when they are not looking!
You know, I just realized that I've never met and talked to an actual Canadian in real life. AND I even live in Wisconsin. Well, I was briefly in Canada across the border a of couple times from Minnesota, (I think to Thunder Bay?) and I paddled a canoe into Canada but they hardly counts since I didn't meet anyone. The great mysterious north... I"m going to have to visit.
AHHHHHG! The interview was so stressful. I was expecting 1 or two interveiwers but there were 4! It felt like an inquisition-I was so nervous- I'm not sure that I did very well
but I am keeping my fingers crossed
I still have to go for my French reading and comprehension tests on Thursday am. If I pass those then I go for another test for the ability to converse. I probably won't find anything out for a few weeks.
I feel totally drained right now. I think I will have some dinner, a hot bath and some tv tonight.
Oh, Mauvais... I'm sorry, hon. You have a cozy evening with your DH. Don't get stressed over this. You're too important, and it's not WORTH IT!
love and hugs...
