Just got home from the gym and resting but soon I will head out to shop for my gd's birthday gift. Her birthday is today...we called her and sang the birthday song to her but had to leave a message. Her party is on Sunday. We got good news today that our son got a new job. He's been working but sorta out of his chosen field for about 1 1/2 years. This job will be closer to what he loves to do.

So far I've done well on my eating plan but I have only had breakfast! Mornings are the easy part for me. I always eat but very moderately.

Another win I got recently was a 3 mo subscription to Indieflix. It is movies...some very short, others more regular length...that most of us probably haven't heard of...so far I've only watched one. Didn't care for it but will try some others before I judge it.

Here are my wins for 2013, not many:
2/18 $25 GC from JC Penny - used
3/16 Coupon for free Dry Idea product from Frugal Follies -redeemed
4/? Coupon for free Cubbies product - received but not redeemed
5/13 $25 GC to Two Goi in Tacoma - gave to son's gf
6/2 indieflix 3 mo subscription ~$21 value from pb & whine - activated 6/2
6/4 13 mysteries from Kate Carlisle - received 6/17/13

Cajun - Glad you're doing better...keep it up, girl! I know you can do it because you have done so well in the past. Cajun, I thought the same thing when I read about Rosey's high shelf! Dh does his best to hide things from me but I always find them.

Bobbi - Well you work harder than me. I read at the gym while on the bike, and when watching TV or eating. We usually eat our meals separately.

I have been ignoring the danger warning and didn't see it today. As long as my virus protector doesn't pop up I don't worry much about it. I do try to keep my virus protecting software up to date.

Well, a few things to do before I go shopping so better end this. All I've done so far is daily clean one bathroom.

Hi Everyone,
Spent the day with my DD and my niece cleaning out my sister’s clothes closets. Makes me want to go through my closets and drawers. I really do not want my DD to have to do this when I die.

Tomorrow morning is my weigh-in. Keep your fingers crossed that I lose another pound – my goal.

Hi Cajun,

I get a “semi-pedicure” every six weeks. No polish, but toenails cut to take care of ingrown nails. At the same appointment, she waxes my eyebrows and the hairs on my face. I do not mind someone playing with my feet, but I cannot stand facials. Some find them relaxing – made me want to scream.

Hi Karen,

I am so sorry to read about Ginger’s health problems. I know how much you love her. Tell her I am wishing that she feels better soon.

She is trying to get a divorce and he is making it miserable every step of the way. The scum sent her flowers today for her birthday ~ makes me want to hurl.

Sadly these awful people are the father and grandmother of my precious Corbin and Maddie. Sometimes I wish Sara had never met him, but if she hadn’t we wouldn’t have Corbin and Maddie.

Enough said on that topic. I would appreciate prayers if anyone would do that ~ thank you.

Hope you all have a nice evening.
Hi Gayle,

I am DEFINITELY sending you and your family my prayers. I have been where your daughter is. My first husband was physically and mentally abusive of me. It took me about 15 years to get the courage to walk out – BEST walking I ever did.

Hi Rosey,

Happy to read that Steve will get his health issues taken care of. From what you have written about him, I think he is a REALLY good guy.

An idea for a low-carb snack –
8 oz of fat-free cream cheese
4 oz of fat-free sour cream
8 oz tub of sugar-free Cool Whip
Sweetner to taste (I use about ¼ cup of Splenda)
Beat together the cream cheese & the sweetner; add the sour cream & beat till smooth; fold in the Cool Whip.
I use this as a dip for fruit/berries. It satisfies my sweet tooth.

Hi Mary,

I just finished Dan Brown’s new book – Inferno. If you like the others, you will like this one. This month’s book club selection is The Woman Upstairs. I like it a lot.

I think it's so way cool that you and KarenFL are planning to meet! Rie and I met last month, and it was the best! It's so nice to put a body with a face... you two should have a great time! I hope you can pull it off this fall.
Hi Donna,

I have never dealt with IE at 3FC. Did you alert them to this message that we got? It never occurred to me to do that.

I wish we could all get together. I feel closer to the ladies on this thread than to a lot of folks I see all the time.

Hi Bobbi,

I spent 2 days this week clearing out my sister’s clothes. Today, I found her wedding gown (from 1956) and a mink stole of my mother’s (from 1950).

My sister was a “SHOPPER” and never changed her weight. So, her clothes spanned MANY years. I filled 17 LARGE black trash bags. Veterans of Vietnam are going to pick them up.

Hi Cajun,

Good for you! For me, getting my mind in the right place is the key to losing. I get weighed tomorrow morning at JC. I am hoping that I will lose 1 more pound.

Hi Mary,

My DD has just begun using coupons. She takes photos of the things she gets for free and sends them to me. CONGRATULATIONS on your booty.

I survived day 3 on my food plan. I had a weak moment in the early afternoon and had wicked thoughts and I thought of karen3 on my back aggravating me and believe it or not it worked. Craving passed and then I had to laugh. A thousand thanks to you karen3. Be back later for more.

Hugs

Good Morning! Just a quick pop in here. Ginger seems to be doing much better this morning. Still has a bit of a cough but not like she did! I imagine with the collapsing Trachea she will always have a bit of a cough. She will be going to the vet again on July 2 and hopefully he will be able to hear her heart and lungs better at that time.

Need to get moving this morning-- have family coming to my Aunts for a visit before they move to Alabama and then bible study.. The morning will get away from me if I don't move now.

Hello to everyone and hope everyone is doing good! Have a good Thursday!

It's been a good day and I've tried to keep busy even though I didn't go to the gym. Dh got up really early to go fishing, but didn't get anything. He had fun though. I finished Cliff Diver yesterday...sorry it isn't Divers like I typed before. I really liked it as it kept me guessing. Now I'm reading another mystery ebook, called A False Dawn about a retired cop. Otherwise I did my daily work and dusted and straightened our the shoe area of our closet.

Karen31 - Glad Ginger is better. Hope she gets a good report at the vet.

Cajun - You're doing well. Better than me but I have done a little better today I think. I don't like getting pedicures because my great toes are very sensitive, but I like them to look pretty and I'm not good at doing it myself. So I try to do most of the trimming and cleaning myself so they don't have to mess with them so much. I just get it done once or twice a year during sandal weather. I like to see my toes with polish and dh likes it too.

Karen3 - The gnome is cute...do you like him? Better than a deer/moose head...what do you think, Bobbi?

Good morning ladies
Today is hubby's birthday. He is 53. He said he doesn't want a cake. Yay!!!!!!!!!! My weakness. But I'm sure mil will bust my excitement. Today is Friday and weigh in day. I've lost 6 lbs this week but I'm sure it's fluid from what i was consuming. Next week it could be nothing lost. This time I will not quit. Sooner or later I will start to lose again. I'm still up 13 lbs from my lowest weight of 205. I have a bridal shower tomorrow and Sunday dh and I and my sister and bil are taking a road trip for the day. Just to the coast sightseeing. Maybe eat lunch somewhere. I will make a wise choice in my food selections. Youngest son took a few days off work and went to the beach with gf and her family. Oldest ds is still working nights on the turnaround. I think he gets a fatigue day off Sunday.

Have to start my work day. Have a nice weekend ladies.
Hugs

Good Morning, All...

Just a quick check-in...

Bobbi - where did the gnome come from? He's way cool! Are you making good progress with the house?

Nothing to report. Sorry to be so boring... Just think of me as Serene!

Have a good Friday!

Good afternoon GG's,

Working on that education stuff (for nursing license renewal) again today. One more to go for today. That will be 6 out of 14 completed. Then, I can just do 2 a day for 4 more days and I'll be done with that part. That doesn't seem so overwhelming. There is still some education stuff to do for work. Grrrr ~ you think you've finally caught up, then they throw some more stuff at you. Oh well, at least I have a job.

Lynn and Cajun ~ congratulations on your losses this week.

I feel like I have been doing better with the eating. Not perfect, but better. Weight is up from my ticker. But I guess if I am having a good feeling about my eating, that will maybe help. I didn't buy any snack when I went to the store this morning or the other night when I stopped on my way home from work. Slow going, but a work in progress. I don't do as good as I should, but I feel like even though I am not perfect ~ every time I make a better choice, it is one less bad choice

Ok, lunch break almost over. I'd better get back to work before I procrastinate myself out of my progress

Hope you are all having a good day.
