Default Ladies over 50 who have lost 30 or more...

How has it affected your face? All this talk about lose skin and all, I am wondering if I should prepare myself for even worse looking jowls and sagging skin. Just interested in what you all have to say about this!!!
Thanks and thanks to all for this site, it is a great comfort and inspiration to me!

So far, so good. But I started with a really round face and double chin.

The only thing sagging on me is under my arms but they were never heavy to begin with. I think lack of use plus shrinking bone skelton has caused most of my 'arm wings' problem. I think sagging skin probably affects everyone differently. I'm with Freda on the thinning face, that's where DH could see I'd lost weight besides the obvious. If you ever watched the biggest losers, their faces look so different at the end of the series.
Ooops, I forgot......I do have something else sagging, my boobs!

I haven't lost 30 pounds yet but I'm working on it. You can see my face at the left. I'm 60 years old. One of the best things about my weight loss was the loss of my double chin. I hated my profile. It's funny but it seems to me that I can actually feel weight loss on my face faster than anywhere else.
So no, I do not have any saggy skin or jowls! Good luck!

Now Im jealous after reading the replies. I went from a highest weight of 225 to currently 149 and have plenty of sagging, especially that turkey thing under my chin

Even if you do end up with sagging skin on your body, in my opinion it is still more attractive than being overweight, and it fits better in an airplane seat.

It occurs to me that the reason I don't see anything negative in my face due to weight loss is that big old smile on it whenever I look in a mirror these days!

Again, thanks so much! I agree that it shows in one's face pretty quickly, I have only lost 4 lbs and my face is less puffy or something, but that might be being off the benadryl for about a month. This site is so inspiring and touching, and FUN too!
And to mytyme2dance, it could firm up. There are some exercises for that area I found online, and if I find the link again, I will post it. While I find this site so great, there is so much on here that makes me jealous, but I think that's part of the growth process sometimes.

Have lost 40 lbs 60 to go and my boobies are heading south faster than ever but a bit of flappy skin about feels so much better than bulging skin and anyway I who sees it these days-just me.

You can see my weight loss from my avatar. So far only some sagging in chin area, and the beginning of 'bat wings'. Stretched skin is in my future, I am older and the skin is not as elastic. However, I would rather be a "baggy lady" than a fat lady with a shortened life span.

I look at it this way I may sag in some areas but if I ever reach my goal at least i've learn to eat healthy. Hopefully it will let me live a bit longer than if I hadnt decided to lose the weight. Oh I made me a tracker but I notice mine dont show can someone tell me how I can add it thank you

Not silly at all!

I lost 106lbs for my 50th birthday, and did not get wrinkly or liney or floppy. If I can find those before and after photos, I'll show you.

I was worried when I restarted this year (I'd regained 80), particularly about the fatty bit under my chin: I worried that it would just empty and leave the skin a-dangling. So far so good, and the whole thing is just receding decently.

I have more wrinkles under my eyes and my skin is looser. The bones in my face are more apparent.
