Good Morning,All...
PT, the pizzas look wonderful! Hungry Girl gets the credit for them... I love the taste of them. I'm so glad they've fit for you, too! DAV called and wants my clothing rejects (my entire wardrobe is worth about $27, and that's only because most of the buttons are intact). However, it gives me impetus to do some tossing before they come next week. I need you, Bobbi, to come to my house and get me organized. Mostly, I need a front loader. Pretty today... the wind seems to have died down a little. No other news. Status quo........ Be safe, everyone! |

Way to go Rosie!!!! You have every right to be proud of yourself! And we are so VERY PROUD OF YOU TOO!!! Congrats again on another victory for you.
|
Rosey, that's great!!! 20 pounds in three weeks is stupendous. And your non-scale scale victory is really something to talk about. You'll get there yet, girl.
|
OK - all packed & ready to go. My DD and SIL are scheduled to pick me up at noon.
Now we just have to keep our fingers crossed that the airport in Europe stays open. The newcasters keep talking about airports in Europe closing because of the volcanic ash from Iceland. I just checked on our flight (first one to Frankfurt and second to Florence) - so far, so good. Lynn |
Morning all, it's raining here. DH put in a second strawberry rhubarb plant yesterday so the rain is welcome.
Zoe...no fair showing us those fantastic looking pizza's without the benefit of smelling or tasting. Now I'm going to have to make some, where is the recipe again? Hungry Girl I think you said, I'll check it out. Or did someone post it here on 3fatchicks? Karen...Minnesota used to have a fancy race track that we'd frequented a couple times a year. We usually came out ahead by a few dollars and thought the same thing, where else can you spend the whole day having fun for so little money. Quote:

Jess... You're so funny. Who is DAV? We have a dear church family that takes my clothes so I don't have to throw them away, such a waste to do that when needy families can use them. I've tried to sell them at rummage sales but our part of the country doesn't do well with adult clothes, only children and baby things go. Quote:
Hi Glynne, Freda, Isabella, who else did I miss? |
Good Morning, All...
Bobbi, Lynn posted the Greek Pizza recipe on the recipe site, 2-26-10. ENJOY!! And DAV is Disabled American Veterans... they have several thrift stores here. Rosey, Rosey, Rosey.... I am SO proud of you and so proud of your DH for all his help! You two are a fantastic team, and I AM SO PROUD OF YOU!!! I'll be waiting with bated breath for your travelogues, Lynn (I can't speak for the others, but I'll bet they're waiting, too!). I am so envious. Take lots of pictures! Be safe and HAVE FUN!! Hated scale: down 2#. Life is good! PT, is all well? Karen, everyone, hi! Have a lovely day and be safe! |

OMG! It's been 9 days since my last confession. For pennance, I will do 75 minutes of Pilates and 20 minutes on the rowing machine before I go to bed...
Sorry to have checked out on you all. Been supremely busy with parents, kids and just got news that the X got remarried three weeks ago (and he hasn't told anyone yet, except for his company's HR dept., which is how I found out). And the new wife is a mail-order from the Phillipines! I'm so happy to be free! Sod, on to the wellness efforts, have not lost any more weight as a vegetarian on WW, so I'm switching to a different program. Will explain it more on my blog later tonight. I have been very faithful to exercise recently, and I'm seeing marked improvement with Pilates. But I have to say, I dread going every time, yet feel so good when it's over. It's really hard work! Hope everyone is well. Chat with you tomorrow! |
Morning, gals. I went shopping yesterday and I was so tired that I didn't post anywhere yesterday except fitday. I even went to bed before 10 pm!!!!
Today, we woke up to a SNOW STORM!! Yes, you read correctly. I'm surprised school wasn't called off this morning. But it is supposed to turn to rain with a possibility of freezing rain during that transition. So, I'm not venturing out in that mess. It's that heavy wet snow that hits the window and slides down to the sill and makes a lacy pattern. And to top it all off the house is still cold. It was so hot last night (from the wood furnace) that I didn't put any wood in before I went to bed. I was tossing half the night from being too hot. Well, this morning around 5 am I realized the temperature was just right for sleeping but of course by 7:30-8 am it was too cold to be outside of the blankets. The furnace is starting to pour out the heat now so in about an hour I will be too hot again. Georgia, sounds like you made a good decision awhile back. What is this man thinking about? It's his business who he marries but he should have at least had the decency to tell his sons and father. I'm assuming you'd be the last person he'd tell. And about losing weight, you'll find your perfect plan sooner or later. Just keep up doing something. And you really need to find an exercise that you can sustain without hating it. :) Lynn, I know you may not get to read this but I hope you didn't get stranded. I saw the news reports of the Icelandic volcano and they showed clips of several European airports and they were all closed down because of the ash fallout. Anyhoo, have a great vacation and we'll all be waiting for your pics and reports. Donna, that hated scale seems to be going in the right direction. You have 24 pounds gone. Good going, girl. Hello to everyone I haven't addressed personally. Hope everyone's day is POP as can be. Catch you all tomorrow. |
Good Morning, All.....
First, Isabella... what is "POP"? All I could find was "Post Office Protocol", which really doesn't fit...... Quote:
PT, haven't heard from you for a while... are you gearing up for your big birthday celebration? What wonderful things does DH have planned for you? Everything is going swimmingly. Did you all see the footage of that meteor? OMG, I was horrified! What a scary, scary video that was! Everyone, be safe! Onward and downward........ |
Congrats on the two pounds, PT....I'm smiling very widely, indeed. I AM wondering, though, why your losing ways haven't been psychically transmitted to me? I'm afraid that after enjoying that Greek pizza (and being proud enough of my efforts to take a picture) I was right back to craving junk the next day. I swear I don't know what to do with myself, except give in and plan to starve starting Monday. I wouldn't DARE get on the scale right about now. I'm ashamed of myself, but more than that, I'm feeling a little discouraged. I won't give up, but where is this appetite coming from? All I want to do is eat. I have to stop before I gain some SERIOUS weight back, but I'm having such a hard time with it for some reason.
A SNOWSTORM, Isabella? Oh, horrors! And even more horrific, they (the weatherfools - gotta LOVE that label) are saying snow possible HERE tonight and/or tomorrow morning. Tomorrow is the third Saturday - our scheduled "field trip" with the grandkiddos. We had planned to take them to a Llama farm to hike with the Llamas (the Llamas carry your lunch for you) but the weather certainly has put the dampers to that. Looks like we'll be postponing until next Saturday. I actually have Monday off from work - and the kids are on school vacation all week, but it doesn't look like the weather's going to improve much for another week or so. Lovely. I suspect that this weekend will be spent primarily re-arranging closets and getting my winter clothes off to the cleaners and my spring/summer ones hung. The prospect is a rather daunting one, to tell the truth. That's another reason why I can't wait to retire - no more need for all these clothes! This morning has really dragged for some reason, which is a little unusual. I've been so danged busy at work lately that time has been flying by. Oh, well. Bobbi - as for the pizzas, I took the original recipe and added my own extras. It added some to the calories, but not all that much. They make a really filling meal - and you'd think I'd be satisfied, wouldn't you? (NO - I'm still craving things like chocolate and chips...it's very sad.) Have a good day, all... :grouphug: Z |
Donna, POP means Perfectly on Plan. I had to find that out too. The abbreviations can be mystifying at times.
Zoe, I want to go on your weekend trips with the GKs. That sounds like a great Saturday outing. Our snow storm has gone from snow to freezing rain to plain old rain. Everything is now mucky and slushy. But at least it's the right stuff falling from the heavens. |
Good Afternoon.....I'm sick of the computer today. All DH hunting stuff I listed on Ebay expired yesterday and I couldn't mail anything out until they paid for it today. I printed and mailed out 18 packages and my computer was giving me grief while printing out the postage labels. (3 of them I have to wait 10 days for a refund because they wouldn't print out) Any of you print out your own postal? Works great most of the time. Anyway, just wanted to say Hi to everyone. I'll be in a better mood tomorrow, I promise.

Morning everyone..:cheer2: another nice day here today..nothing planned for the weekend..hope you all have agreat one (((hugs))) rosey
