I am a calorie counter. I try to eat mostly healthy foods (but, allow treats too), I plan my food (but, the plan sometimes changes), write down everything I eat - planned or unplanned - and everyday I do meditation or guided imagery. Also...I throw in some excersie now and then. My highest weight was a few years ago was 271. (They discovered my thyroid didn't work well) It was last October 5 2008 when I started doing calories counting at 251 pounds. So it's about 61 pounds in the last 11 months.
BTW - I like that article you posted.
