Hi ladies

I didn't weigh myself this AM but I am gonna assume it's the same ol' 195 I had the day before. My goal for May is to lose ten pounds. I am following the Mediterranean Diet.

I stuck to the diet ->>perfectly<<- but there's still five more hours til bedtime so who knows what might happen.

And I walked for half an hour.

One upsetting situation is brewing: our 30 year old daughter is coming for a visit this weekend and she has serious anorexia. She is weird about food (to put it mildly) so I have told my family not to mention to her that I am on a diet because I don't know what effect that would have on her. She's about one pound away from being sent to the hospital, so we are quite worred about her. So my own diet is the least of my worries.

I'm gonna start off simple ~ I want to begin again counting calories and measuring my food. Do some kind of exercise every day and drink water (on my days off) kind of using the water instead of food to fill up the empty spots when I am hungry.

Weight at begining of month ~ 205
Weight at end of month ~

May 1 ~ Did't do well today in any area ~ tomorrow's another day.

May 2 ~ Walked 40 min ~ measured and counted most of the day ~ some water (ate too much in the evening)

May 3 ~ Walked 20 min two times ~ measured and counted ~ some water ~ worked, so didn't have the evening munchies to struggle with.

May 4 ~ Walked 20 min one time ~ ate ok ~ water not as much

May 5 ~ Didn't get any exercise in ~ ate so-so ~ water not as good

May 6 ~ Rode my bike 1/2 hour ~ food ok until the evening, then I struggled ~ water not so good.

May 7 ~ Headache today messed me up ~ didn't eat good, didn't feel up to exercising ~ all my efforts were to get rid of headache so I would be fit to go to work tonight.

May 8 ~ Ate fair ~ didn't get in any exercise ~ water so-so.

May 9 ~ Ate fair ~ exercise was playing catch and shooting hoops ~ water so-so.

May 10 ~ Walked 15 min ~ ate fair ~ water so-so.

May 11 ~ Ate fair ~ exercise today was bowling ~ water so-so.

May 12 ~ Ate fair ~ walked 20 minutes ~ water so-so.

May 13 ~

May 14 ~

May 15 ~ Rode bicycle 30 min

May 16 ~ Walked 20 min

May 17 ~

May 18 ~

May 19 ~

May 20 ~

I'm not following any particular diet, but will reserve my spot here in an attempt to get my duff out either to the gym or for a minimum 30 minutes of walking at least 5 days a week ...

Today I did a quick trot down to my little cafe for dinner: soup, sandwich and coffee. Oh, and a glass of wine (they're now licenced, hurrah!)

I posted in February and part of March. I have re-gained the 3 pounds I lost, so posting does help. I am glad to be back.

May Plan:
  • 1500-1600 Calories per day
  • 3 Aerobics sessions per week
  • 3 Weight Training sessions per week

May 4.....Rest Day, 1510 Calories, 136 pounds

May 5.....45 minute walk, 1847 Calories
May 6.....45 minute full body weight training DVD, 1602 Calories

I lost 2 pounds, had breakfast this morning, and then went to lunch at a little coffee shop with a friend for lunch, had a salad and a cheeseburger, and an unsweetened iced tea with 2 sweet and low in it.

Planning on eating fat free yogurt with strawberrys and pineapple mixed in with a little flax seed for dinner tonight, ate too much at lunch.

probably put back on the two pounds that I lost.

When i got on the scales this morning the reading said 189.9 i was sure that i gained weight after the eating binge that I went on yesterday.

Wed. May 21, 189.8 lbs lost 10th of a pound hurray.

thur. May 22, 188.8 lbs have cold not doing much exercise
