Lightbulb Sugar = gross

The GB's & I were watching some kiddie show and a commercial came on. It was talking about sugar and that too much is bad for you. They went through all the different kinds, glucose, etc. Then at the end they said. "One way to remember which sugars are bad is if it rhymes with GROSS". I thought that was a sure way to remember. I can never remember which are good or bad. So, this even taught me something.

I'm so encouraged by all the things I'm seeing directed at kids lately! The whole grain change in General Mills cereals, the commerical you mentioned (I saw it too, it's pretty catchy!), and at a school I visited today, the kids are being encouraged to exercise at home and record their exercise to earn points. Not sure what the points are for...hopefully not a pizza or ice cream party! Still, it's great that good messages are going out to kids. I'm sure most, if not all, of us had weight issues as kids...think of how our lives would have changed if we had fought this battle back then!
