Ok, Gretchen, we need to talk, sweetie. Now sit down and hear what I have to say:
1. You do not suck.
2. Ok, so you haven't exercised for 2 weeks. That means you didn't make it a priority. Um, my experience with you tells me that when you do that, when you make something a priority, it gets DONE. So what's getting you off track? Is it time management? Distraction? Don't feel like it when you get home? Pinpoint the detractor, and MAKE IT GO AWAY. You are fully capable of that. You've proven that to yourself already.
3. As I recall, all along, your goals have been about scale numbers and clothing sizes. You certainly don't have to do this publicly, but I would strongly recommend that you do some focused thinking about what kind of LIFE you want to live as a thin person?.....APART from scale numbers and clothing sizes. What do your days and weeks look like? How much and what form of exercise do they contain? What kinds of foods do you eat for the most part? What personal goals do you have? I think the answers to these questions will lead you down the right path, and the exercise will fall right into place.
4. Self-recrimination is counterproductive and a waste of time. It seems to me that you just need to set your compass, and then follow it.
5.
So shut up with the self-hatin', make a reasonable plan that is in keeping with your overall fitness goals, and then you'll see both gains and losses.
I care about you, Gretchen, and I hate to see you speaking to yourself so unkindly. You wouldn't do it to me, so don't do it to yourself. You don't deserve it. You deserve some guidance -- and that will have to come from within, now that you've sought out some support from without.
