Michelle, so sorry about the migraines. I have never had migraines chronically like that but I did, many years ago, have tension headaches for a fairly long season due to stress at work. I cannot imagine if those had been migraines every day. I hope it improves soon and that you find the right treatment or cause of them.

I'm still living in a shrine of boxes, lol! We will be unpacking forever! I'm at peace with it though and just thrilled that we actually have everything out of the old house finally. Unfortunately, we hired someone to paint at our old house who made a serious mess and we now have to completely repaint the entire house and replace the carpet (which had spilled paint everywhere). NOT happy... We had not planned to put that much money into the house before selling but our current market is not really favorable to "as is" or paint/carpet allowances so it's better for selling for us to get it all in "move in" condition. Hopefully it goes on the market the 11th. Our new mortgage starts in October so we really need a super quick sell.

I actually managed to lose a couple pounds in August which is nothing short of a miracle since we have been eating out non-stop but it is likely due to all the extra activity I've been doing with the move. I'm hoping sometime in September that I can get back to semi-healthy diet again. My daughter starts at her new preschool next Friday and will be going three mornings a week so hopefully with the extra time I can get back to cooking more and finding time for meal prep, etc.

Hope everyone is well!

Hey everyone!! Sorry I've been MIA. I had a bout of kicking my own butt with my unemployment issues and became a bit obsessive with changing the whole process. Thank you so much for the warm welcomes

BAD NEWS: 1) in that time gained 4 lbs of my loss back

GOOD NEWS: 1) completely reformatted my resume, 2) found a weekly support group at my unemployment office offering great resources for help in finding a job, 3) found 2 temp employment placement agencies, one also offering great resources and training that I can use for free as long as I'm signed up with them, 4) am waiting on 3 phone calls for possible temp work, 5) subscribed to a Sept Challenge forum and 6) have lost 2 of the 4 lbs already

I numbered the BAD and GOOD, so it puts in perspective the amount of positive we can do when we put our minds to making changes in our lives. My employment situation is out of my control. The steps I take to get back in the game I do have control over. What needs to happen for me is the way I handle my stress when forced with change. That 4 lbs was gained in less than 7 days while at my wits end about what to do differently. I had been signed with two temp agencies since Feb this year, but had only worked 2 weeks of the last 7 months. The problem I was told was my qualifications and that they only get assignments rarely that met my pay rate and in my area. Feeling good about the connections I've made and the changes to come. Feeling GREAT about being back on track with the weight loss and extremely thankful that it was just 4 lbs this time. I'm getting better at this game

HI everybody..i know summer is over, i have been so busy i haven't logged on here for a while. Hope everyone is doing well. I fell off the wagon after getting back from vacation, and now that son is off to college and younger one is back at school I'm ready to get serious again. I fired my trainer, wasn't happy about how she was training me..and nothing was coming out of it. I joined a very inexpensive gym and decided to train myself......I know what to do , i just need to do it. Have to make up a whole new schedule for my workouts. Until i'm working full time again my job is doing "me"....Still trying the 'fast diet"....it works when i stick to it......did we start a september thread?

Hi Zumba! Glad to see you back with a renewed sense of purpose; sounds like you had a rough few weeks of 'life happening.' Things have been pretty quiet here on this thread; guess somebody should start up a fall thread *hint hint.*

Shannon, I'm impressed at how well you're dealing with all the stress of moving! on a fast sell.

fool4fotos, it does feel good to take charge of what you can. You've got this! that you find some work very soon.

In my world, my middle DS is looking into joining the Navy! Exciting and scary stuff... In preparation, he and the eldest DS have started C25K so I get to ride my bike alongside and cheer them on. Oh, my poor seat bones - but it's worth it to see those guys getting serious about getting into better shape.

Thank you so much Cattails!!! I feel something good is coming my way. The effort I'm putting in and networking I'm creating is bringing good vibes that I can't ignore. I'm on the right track. I know it.
