I ate breakfast  I was actually hungry. Then in return I was still full at lunch and skipped it. I had a snack and now I am ready for my dinner  So my day is going very well :) If I just avoid evening snacking, I am golden for the day.

S: asst veggies, cheese, salami, black bean dip appetizer

Just found out we are going to the neighbors tonight, which means plentiful food & drink. Skipping dinner as a result. Will try to have restraint over food, and switch to tea after 2 drinks.

newleaf123 12-14-2013 07:13 PM

Scratch that; I decided to have a little dinner after all. Just some raw veggies, that made up part of the meal that I made for the family. Also, I remembered that the man next door is on some sort of diet so maybe there will be less food than usual...

I made this for supper tonight I really recommend it. I love cooking food that is enjoyed by the whole family instead of having to give myself something else.

Ha, Sum, you're too funny - 22 degrees?! I wouldn't emerge from my cocoon of blankets!

Heidi, gratz on the scale success! And kudos for catching the upswing before it got overwhelming, that's a huge achievement.

And gratz to you, justsayno, on a loss! You've got this!

Hope everybody is having a terrific weekend. :)

Yesterday was a kind of a junk day - went to the movies and indulged. The Hobbit was lots of fun though!

Today's food so far:

B: yogurt with chia and banana, tea
S: little bit of sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds
L: wonton soup, bbq pork chow mein (too much!), and mu shu pork, tea
D: probably some steamed broccoli
S: 1 ounce of dark chocolate

Still ignoring the birthday cake in the fridge; it'll be gone soon enough with my four guys here!

love2b150 12-14-2013 09:27 PM

Heidi, there are a few. I will definitely go try it on to make sure it looks appropriate on me :)

Sum I've still gotta get the salmon maybe tomorrow :)

Leeh, your dinner sounds really good. I have yet to try to cook lamb.

Cattails you have four boys?

today was my cheat day

B - egg, Pico de Gallo, cheddar cheese, bacon, biscuit, grits, green tea
L - frosted flakes, 1% milk, ruffles cheddar and sour cream chips, green grapes

Sum, I used to live in fear of the booze munchies but somehow I don't have the issue any more as long as I have good food planned. Maybe drinking on the weekend is what is keeping me from losing more like I'd like to, so I'll have to consider giving it up, though I really don't want to.

Heidi, pretty clothes, love them !

newleaf123 12-15-2013 10:46 AM

leeh the moussaka recipe looks great! I'm the only one who will eat aubergines, though. sum, what ever became of your eggplant in the morning? I remember when you were on that yummy kick!

Thanks for the compliments, catTails & Michelle!

So I managed well last night. 2 glasses of wine, a couple nibbles of cheese, and salted cashews. Scale was up 0.3 this AM, so that's a win. I noticed that fresh-out-of-the-wash pants are fitting better again.

And for today...

B: cappuccino

Sum38 12-15-2013 11:46 AM

Heidi, I should go back to eating eggplants in the morning, somehow I was able to stomach them. But once again, I did not have any bfast; it is nearly noon and I am just starting to feel hunger.

I did my second step aerobic class and felt like an elephant :) I had these perky ladies with trim bodies up on front and all of us "bigger" and slower ladies were fighting for the back row spot...lol -- I am going to keep going though; I sweat a lot and that is a good thing!! Perhaps I will get to be one of those perky and fit ladies at some point! :) :)

newleaf123 12-15-2013 12:34 PM

Good for you sum, shaking things up with the step aerobics. I'm sure with all that sweating, you will see some results.

B: cappuccino
L: steel cut oats with mashed banana, roasted beets with olive oil & balsamic vinegar (lunch was a fridge clean out LOL)
